Due to recent upgrade to commercial grade stove, we are slowly building full set of Le Creuset cast iron. Just lacking a couple more saucepans. This is a good size but still need on a bit larger. I have 2 in this size in another type. Excellent addition to the kitchen.

Form meets Function in this display worthy piece of cookware. The very first thing I prepared in this Dutch oven was the famous Nigerian Jollof, started on the electric cooktop then transferred to oven where it steamed to perfection. There was no scorching of the tomato sauce base. Cleanup was swift and efficient. One of the best items yet that I’ve curated for my kitchen.

This 1.75 qt. Le Creuset saucepan is a beautiful addition to my Oyster Le Creuset collection. It is bigger than I thought it would be and looks wonderful sitting on the stove. I will get a lot of use out of this saucepan: cooking vegetables, boiling eggs, making oatmeal, warming soup, etc. I hope QVC will have the larger 2.25 qt. saucepan in Oyster soon so I can get that one too.

A really lovely saucepan. Ok, it is heavy but it only took a day or two to adapt to the weight. Used properly the Le Creuset ceramic surface is pretty much non-stick - but without all the added nasties that go into more modern non-stick cooking items. Hurrah for a morning porridge pan that washes clean so easily.I’m a long term fan, having inherited Le Creuset casseroles from my mother - all a bit blemished after decades of use, but still 100% functional. This is one of those products where you truly do get what you pay for. A bit more expensive upfront but, with care, a kitchen item that will last for generations.
I the skillet in Nectar and the saucepan in Deep Teal and they are just so gorgeous! I don’t have much storage space in my apartment, so these live on the stove top. I never thought I be leaving pots and pans out on my stovetop, but these are just too pretty to put away (plus I don’t have the storage space anyway). Cleanup is a breeze as well. I couldn’t be happier!
Love Le Creuset saucepan. I've been wanting one for ages to just keep on the stove top and use for whatever, whenever. Making porridge most mornings, heating leftover stir fry, or just boiling an egg - this saucepan gives speedy, even heat and does not require gas to be turned up high as it retains heat extremely well - simply heat then turn down to continue cooking. It's heavy so it stays nice and steady and stable. Love it.
I’ve got the 1.75 in Flame and I keep it on my stove and get so many compliments! This pot fits a lot more that it looks; you can make rice for 6 people, fit about 3 cans of beans, and boil eggs, potatoes, and pastas in it. The only issue, as with all cast iron, is that you have to wait for the metal to heat up - which adds an extra 5-10 mins. So even if the side you’re making cooks quicker than the main, start water ahead of time with the lid on because it’s definitely slower than other materials. I also love that it keeps my food hot for such a long time! Keep the lid on and your food will be hot for about 20 mins. It’s heavy, but the beautiful colors add so much personality to my kitchen by leaving it on the stove. I wouldn’t cook custards or temperamental foods ... MoreI’ve got the 1.75 in Flame and I keep it on my stove and get so many compliments! I wouldn’t cook custards or temperamental foods in it, since once it hits a certain heat they need to cool down immediately and since the cast iron stays hot for so long, it’ll continue to simmer even with the heat off.
This rating is not about the saucepan. It’s about the service and shipping. I ordered this in Artichaut. They sent me the 2.5 quart braiser. I called. They said they would correct it and they sent me the braiser for the second time. I’m thinking they don’t even have the 2,5 quart saucepan in Artichaut. They must have it labeled wrong in the warehouse. I’d order again but I know the end result. I’d be sent the braiser again.
Beautiful to look at and cook in. Will hold a very large roast. My only complaint is that it was shipped in its Le Creuset box and the ox took a tile bit of a bearing. Also, I think, because the Le Creuset box was packed in a box the top was squashed and there’s a chip on the lid of the pan. It will affect the cooking but does affect the appearance of the pots lid.
