This speaker is amazing for the price. everything works well on it. sound quality is clear and powerful without being harsh or shrill. if you are starting out this is perfect for 90% of people. the other 10% having unrealistic expectations.

I demoed so many speakers in this price range, and I'm glad these were recommended to me. They are by far the best in their price range. Built so much better than other choices and the sound is huge. It's my go to mobile DJ box, and the bluetooth is a great feature to have. I'm on a tight budget, so these ICOA's are great for me.

I recently purchased one of these for multiple uses. I play keys in an 80's cover band. We bring our own sound equipment to most gigs. I need something as a floor monitor for that purpose. I also need something in my practice space to create keyboard voices for shows; what sounds good on studio monitors doesn't always sound good on a blaring PA system for live shows. I also wanted a decent size PA to use as a basement rehearsal system to jam with a drummer and a couple other musicians on occasion. This speaker fulfills all of these jobs perfectly. Clear midrange, enough high end without being harsh, and plenty of bass to be usable, considering its a 12 inch woofer. Build quality seems excellent. Bluetooth feature is a nice bonus, makes it easy to just connect a phone and listen when desired. As a bonus, it looks nice, and the extra two handles it has compared to most speakers actually do help quite a bit when throwing it on a stand. I will be buying a second in the future.

Great replacement speaker for my old Mackie. The presets are a great added bonus, giving clear differences in sound with each one. The rotatable horn is cool too, though I haven't taken the grill off to switch it for monitor use yet. Added bonus: the logo flips around too!
Overall:I was stuck between these and a few other brands for monitors.. after watching a video on a speaker tear down of each company, it was clear this was the way I was going to go.. the build of these and the components used surpass the other speakers in this range. These are built like tanks and have had nothing but compliments on how they sound.. the only thing I wish they did have was a visual clip light that I could see from a distance..
Overall:I was needing some budget friendly stage monitors and decided to try these out. I have been PLEASED with their performance. I have actually used these LD Systems ICOA 12 A to do some smaller parties and wedding receptions as FOH. I was disappointed to see that these have been discontinued. But I do see that they were replaced with a Bluetooth upgrade. Nevertheless, I highly recommended these.
I've been a professional audio engineer for a little over 23 years and was looking for another brand of wedge or active system to deploy for smaller events of up to 200 people or so. I went to my local dealer in the Bay Area and he was out of stock on the QSC k12.2 but told me about these LD icoa12 that he just received not long ago. So, I Purchased two of these 8 months ago and since then one of the speakers amp module went out of me, ok they replaced it, then in the middle of another corporate event it started producing a loud static noise from the drivers, I quickly switched the cable and that didn't help, changed the settings and nothing helped. Took it back and they ended up replacing the module again. Ive had my Yamaha DZR, Turbosound TFX and K12.2 for well over 4 years and drive them a heck of a lot harder than these and they never left me stranded. Certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. I would steer away from these and just buy yourself a JBL, QSC, turbosound, etc.... And to make matters worse, the other speaker and amp module have been at the dealer for exchange for nearly 2 months now and they don't know when they will receive the components to repair it!! Horrible.
I bought 5 speakers in total in black. My surprise when one of the turned up white. And the box was also marked white. I have no use for a white one
Overall:Unbelievable sound from this speaker. I've tried them all and this thing exceeded them all. The clearest and deepest sound from a powered 12 inch you're going to get. Unparalleled options as well from the coaxial design. Well done LD Systems.
heavier than some others but certainly manageable but the weight makes the sound unbelievable better! The sound has more punch, more bass and louder than the other ones in class. I tried and owned them all. DJ here in Chicagoland
