Delivery ok As I love Lavazza Gusto ground coffee the best , this was a big letdown . 2 big spoons too strong bitter . 1 too weak . Aftertaste. I read reviews gold packet is the same . Nescaf instant cappuccino skinny unsweetened better than this . Guess impossible to find organic instant coffee that tastes as good as Ground coffee . SAD

I have to say if you use a drip grinder this is pretty delicious coffee. However, I have never had more trouble dialing in a good tasting espresso shot. When you get the proper 36 out from 18 g in the shot is very sour. When you grind finerand 18 grams pulls in about a minute.. you are over extracted and you get the bitter and astringent flavor you don't want. I pulled at least 10 shots with different grind settings and even played with doses and water temperatures... I'm confounded, where is David Hoffman when you need him?

We have been loyal to Lavazza Tierra for several years and it never disappoints. While we love the Lavazza brand as a whole, this blend in particular is our favorite. Hi Jim, it’s ok. Not great. I little on the light side. Top Class is better in my opinion (taste wise). Haven’t tried the local (your neighbor’s) beans yet.Best regards,Mitch
I was looking forward to tasting the Lavazza Tierra Selection again because the first time I tried it I was very impressed and thought this was the blend I would buy from now on. It was a while before it was available again so just recently tried it with this purchase, but I was a bit disappointed. These beans are well balanced on the acid level to my taste, but they fall short when it comes to strength. I tried adjusting grain size and coffee volumes but it did not improve much. I went back to TOP CLASS, which is what I normally use, and I was able to get really good strong shoots with a good amount of crema. I think I will stick with the TOP class for now.However. I just noticed that the picture of the coffee beans bag that came from the review request is Not the ... MoreI was looking forward to tasting the Lavazza Tierra Selection again because the first time I tried it I was very impressed and thought this was the blend I would buy from now on. I also have a pic of the tierra i tasted a while back. Bag is slightly different
My rating is based on my expectations for this bean. The spec page says it is "dark roast" and gives it a "yes" for milk+coffee drinks. ** It got lost in my lattes.** I don't use much sweetener. I like to taste the coffee. In a mug that I usually use two shots, I was using 3-4 of Intenso. I tried adjusting the grind, longer pull, shorter pull, more grounds per shot. Nothing helped. It is a wimpy bean for lattes. Now I will say that it makes a great lungo or americano. I finally used the last 1/2 pound for that and I would give it 5 stars in that performance.Rate your coffee expertise:Coffee LoverWhat do you like best about this product?Good for lungos or americanosDo you have any helpful tips for using this product?Don't expect it to hold it's own in milk
In my humble opinion, this is a terrific tasting coffee! I usually buy the Lavazza Super Crema coffee beans and have for years. I saw this Lavazza Tierra and decided to give it a try. It was even better than the Super Crema which for me is saying a lot!I know everyone’s taste buds are different but for mine these coffee beans make a perfect cup of coffee!!
Love this taste. Lingering chocolate and almond notes. Ummm. Great by itself to kickstart my morning!
I've been waiting for this coffee for a while and am sorry I didn't find it sooner--I feel like I wasted a lot of time drinking bad coffee just because I stopped being able to justify shipping costs to buy my favorite Italian brand from Rome. I made due but now I've tried Lavazza Tierra!--it's like being transported back to Italy. This is smooth, not acrid and no bitter or weird after tastes. Coffee perfection. Love the intense coffee smell when the box arrived--wondered if the delivery person enjoyed it as much as I did.
I have been working with these beans (1 kg bag) for a couple of weeks, tweaked the grind, amount, pressure profiles (I have a Vesuvius). I got the taste close to where I like it, but the crema is disappointing. Occasionally I get full surface coverage of crema, sometimes it starts to dissipate soon after the pull, never do I get thick, heavy crema. Won't buy these again. Have had much better results with Lavazza Super Crema, also with Mio Espresso Blend (tastewise, better than Crema Plus), Maromas Arabea (not Platiena).
