Lancome Idole Aura For Women Eau De Parfum Spray 50 ml *Tester by Lancome

I bought this perfume because it was 50% off and I felt like I had to complete my Idôle collection since I've brought the previous ones for 50% off as well so this was a complete blind buy for me. When I first smelled it I immediately thought it smelled like watermelon! Then I used it throughout last summer and I started to detect the florals and the other notes. That being said this is a great hot weather perfume. My hot weather go-tos are citursy, fresh scents like DG Light Blue. During LA's summer heat wave I found myself reaching for this as the sweetness was not over powering; it's sweet, airy, and that salty touch somehow meshes well for those hot sweaty days. The intense version is the most "fancy" scent which I would really only wear for more special occasions like a wedding or something I have to get more dressed up for, and the original Idôle is just a touch down from the intense version's fancy factor in that I'd still wear it to fancy occasions, but I'd also still wear it to brunch or just shopping in a casual spring dress. Aura can fit the bill for all of those things, but I'd grab this over any of the other two if I was just wearing jeans and a t-shirt which is pretty much what I wear on a day to day basis. So while my favorite scent is the the original Idôle, I have to say I probably reached for Aura the most so far because it's the most casual. I think if I had more outings/events going on in my life, I'd lean more towards the other two. I will say I'm not really a fan of the bottle. The thinness doesn't bother me....it's the white part that's on the back of the perfume. In direct light looks lovely and ethereal, but when it's not hitting the light....it just looks like a white spray paint stripe across the bottle. Not my favorite.

This is described as the first “sun-kissed” perfume from Lancôme. The top notes consist of a beautiful rose essence, coupling Isparta and Centifolia roses for a luxurious olfactory introduction. The middle is revealed more with the dry down, and consists of gorgeous white Jasmine with fresh hints of Bergamot. As the olfactory cherry on top, this fragrance melts with the warmth of sun-kissed rose petals upon a decadent base of salted Bourbon Vanilla and musks. There is a clean and crisp dryness to this perfume, like the warm salty air of a desert wind. I actually really enjoy the smell of this fragrance, as it is simple and doesn’t require any one specific personality to wear it. The olfactory trail mostly focuses on the salty rose essence as it cleans the air and paves the way for newfound clarity. The fragrance was inspired by the idea of each person realizing their fullest potential in order to make a lasting impact on the world. To me, this fragrance says “Get up! Your time is now!” A great mood-boosting perfume!

I had several students and colleagues complement me on my scent and during a training meeting with 20 people I had some people trying to figure out where the nice fragrance it was coming from. Some tips I have learned while trying this perfume . 1- spray it on your body after using moisturizer, it cause it to last longer. 2- spray it in the air and walk through it for a light application or spray it on your inner jacket, blazer or cardigan. The scent will last and when you take your jacket off it is a nice subtle note. 3- if you add a little petroleum on your wrist or other pressure points and then spray it, it will last longer even in this crazy Texas heat. 4- spray it in a card( note card or thick paper) and add to you lingerie drawer. The sent will last for a few days. I even tried it in my car and office.

It’s starts off with a lovely floral hit of rose and dusky orchid, and then as it settles, the powdery vanilla starts to come through, laced with essence of pear. It’s a wonderfully versatile perfume, that is equally as good in the afternoon as it is for the evening and night. It brings feelings of centredness and strength, like pulling all that inner feminine power to be in control of your life. The bottle is also stunning with a pinkish orange colour sunset effect, with the classic dent in the middle for the Idole scent range.I also did a little comparison to other Lancôme scents, Idole Aura - is more of a lighter daytime scent, with rose, jasmine and vanilla, the Now is stronger with more versatile wearing for different times and occasions. LVEB - a sultry, evening and night time scent, with Iris, Pear, Blackberry, Jasmine and Vanilla, Idole Now has a lighter fragrance to this which makes it better at earlier times of day. All these perfumes were beautiful with application and time/occasion differences.Anyone wanting to expand their scent collection could not go wrong adding in Idole Now, would be a wonderful and ideal gift idea for the important women in your life. It is, however, unisex, if you’re a man that likes a floral element to your scents, this would work so well, my husband loves it. I think the only thing that would stop me buying a bottle this size is the price, I would have to go for the 25-30ml ones just so I can get a few in my collection (Idole Nectar is my next one).

I received a bottle of Idôle Now as a member of My Lancome Community.I am a big fan of the IDÔLE line. I already have the original and the L'Intense version in my collection.The signature DNA of Idôle, the rose, is also present in this flanker.The opening of Idôle Now is bright, sweet and juicy. The note of pear gives it a crisp, fruity, almost aquatic touch while the Turkish rose adds a rich, warm sweetness to the fragrance.Shortly thereafter, it develops into a powdery, slightly musky scent. The orchid accord at the heart creates smooth, warm nuances on my skin.Later on, the vanilla note envelops the composition, rounding it off beautifully. More interestingly, I catch whiffs of the Idôle DNA in the air but with my nose close to the skin, I get a dry, woody vanilla undertone.Idôle Now is a warm, deep, well-blended composition. Maybe not the most unique one but it is a beautiful, classy and sophisticated perfume.Idôle Now lasts for 7-8 hours on my skin (much longer if oversprayed) with outstanding projection and sillage for the first 3 hours.It can be worn all year round. However, in summer it may be a bit too powerful for some people. Personally, I enjoy lighter & fresher fragrances on warm, summer days so I will wear Idôle Now mostly in cool weather.If you're looking for a warmer & deeper version of Idôle and you like sweet, powdery scents, this could be the right choice for you. It is also worth mentioning that this perfume is vegan. I highly recommend you checking it out!
