I have always trusted L'Oreal to produce excellent foundations, and the newly reformulated True Match lived up to my expectations. It's lightweight, and gives natural-looking medium coverage. I've tested it on myself as well as on a friend with more mature skin. I dislike liquid foundations because they always leave residue on finger nails. I much prefer creme compact with supplied applicator because it's easy to transport in purse and doesn't leave residue on finger nails, especially for quick touchups away from a makeup vanity. I'm disappointed Loreal stopped manufacturing the "Loreal True Match Compact Creme Makeup SPF 17 C6 Soft Sable product. The application was easy, felt amazing, provided moisture and sun protection to mature skin. Those with drier skin should probably use a moisturizing primer to avoid accentuating any dry patches. I love this makeup and buy it 4 at a time to make sure I never run out. Unfortunately, sometimes my complexion is darker due to sun exposure. I am religious about reapplying sunblock in the afternoon, but when I wear foundation it would mess that up, so I want a foundation with sunblock in it that I can reapply instead. Up to W8 that works (my Winter shade). But Spring, Summer and Fall I need W9, and it appears this makeup simply does not carry a shade darker than W8 that has sunblock in it. At least I can't find it anywhere. Why change the formula just because it's a darker shade?
