Really disappointed with this Foundation, I bought it based on the reviews. Unfortunately there are alot of negatives to this foundation. Firstly it looks so dry on the skin and emphasises every line and pore, making them look alot worse! Secondly it just sits on the skin, it wipes off easily and doesn't blend well. Lastly this becomes blotchy after awhile and gives the skin a weird texture. Overall this is a waste of money for me, a foundation is supposed to freshen up your skin not make you look like a leather hangbag

I love the texture and feeling of the new formula. It is very moisturizing and flattering. Trying to match my old shade has been tricky. I used to use 2N so it recommended 2.5N in the new formula but it was too pale for my skin. I bought 3N thinking it would be perfect but it was significantly darker and didn’t work. I’m mixing them right now but I hope I can find the right shade eventually.

I have been using Este Lauder Double Wear for many years & wanted a change. Tried this after reading reviews & was pleasantly surprised. It looks lighter & fresher on my face than the Double Wear but the coverage is just as good. I have a few large dark spots due to not using SPF when younger & it covers these well. I use a light translucent powder over the top & a setting spray & my makeup looks good all day. Good choice of colours & a much lower cost than I usually pay. I haven't been using it long enough to see any difference in my skin but I am very happy with the product.
I bought linen hoping it would be close to the old No7 calico and to be honest I found the shade better. However it sank right into my pores and creases and dried my skin out. I tried this one with a few different moisturiser and primer combos hoping to get it to work for me. Even tried mixing with a little of other foundations. No joy unfortunately. If you’ve got decent skin and want solid coverage then this is for you though.

When I got home, it was very clear that the colors were completely different, but since I was devoted to this foundation, I thought I would try to mix what was left of my old bottle with the new shade and then gradually transition. While the mix lasted, it seemed to work ok, but as soon as I had to transition to the new foundation alone, I noticed I stated getting dry patches on my face, and particularly in the corners of my eyes. It actually reminded me of when I took Accutane years ago to clear up my acne. So very very drying! And when I try to gently remove the dry skin, it is red and raw underneath. So I am ... Terrible changing of the product. I was in love with the original foundation and had been buying it for 2 years. And now they changed it??? What used to be a dream product with the perfect shade, consistency, and natural look is a joke. It’s oily, not natural looking, and these new shades are ridiculous. I used to wear the shade N5.5 perfect beige and it’s not even an option to try and see your new shade!! This was L’oréal’s biggest mistake. I cant believe I won’t be able to get an amazing product anymore. This is the worst “improvement” of a product. Why they changed it I don’t know. I’m begging. Please change it back!!! If you used to use no7 custom blend foundation in Calico this one is a good match in porcelain. I blend this with collection lasting perfection glow foundation to get it to be slightly thicker (1 part glow foundation to 3 parts true match). I have oily, blemished skin with large pores and I doesn't make blemishes or pores look worse. I use body shop seaweed oil control gel and then Estée Lauder the smoother primer underneath as it does need something to help it set if you have oily skin, but with these underneath it works a treat. I wear glasses and it does leave nose marks but I find I can just blend these in with my finger or a sponge and it's like normal again. If you don't mind a slight bit of touching up (I prefer that, it looks natural rather than make up you ... I was keen to try this for days when i wanted a little more coverage, but still wanted something that felt light on the skin. This foundation is so easy to blend into the skin, the shade vanilla matched me perfectly. I use my fingers to apply like a moisturiser and then just buff in with a kabuki brush. This gives a lovely finish, not too matte. It doesn't slide off through the day or crack or sink into lines and makes my skin look lovely, really impressed!
