Installed in a friend's garage ceiling, wanted something that wasn't thick enough to hide joists. Tried cutting with garden sheers which didn't work. ended up tearing by hand. Some batts are flattened from packaging, allow plenty of space when opening as almost 2.9m of thickness flattened down to 0.5m (see separate review for "Earthwool R-2.5 HD 90 x 430mm 6.98m² SoundShield Batt - 14 Pack" used in workshop walls) Hardest part was moving myself between the 1.2m between steel trusses in roof.

These are great value for money, they have really good sound and insulation properties
Great product, great price, was easily ordered online and delivered to our courier address to get it to our rural location, and in a small amount of time.
I worked for several years in fibreglass insulation manufacturing and there seems to be little advice given to installers for this material these days. So here are a few pointers: Use a sharp long bladed knife to cut batts by compressing onto a board or timber stud.Wear a respirator to avoid breathing glass fibres and binder particles.Wear long sleeves, gloves and eye protection.
Excellent product, felt safe using it.
