Kilner Clip Top Jar - Round 1.5L

I dont know anything about pickling or preserving but this is a very. very nice looking jar and it has a fantastic seal that would be perfect for those things. The clip is very sturdy, the jar itself too. Its a quality item for a bargain price.I actually bought this entirely by mistake. I meant to get the smallest one and ended up buying the 0.5 litre one. Even had I got the one I thought I was buying it wasnt what I wanted but I was desperate to fill my 20 requirement for free delivery and I had been looking for hours. Love these jars

I love all the Kilner swing top clip jars and have purchased several of every available size. Their glass is sturdy, thick, and well made, and the orange rubber gasket/metal wire clip design provides an airtight seal, keeping your food fresh for many, many months. For extended freshness, I like to toss in an oxygen absorber before clamping down the lid. A line of these jars, filled with various foods, and arrayed neatly on your counters or pantry shelf, is so satisfying and pleasing to the eye! So much better than the jumble of messy bags I had before. It has a wider mouth opening, which I appreciate, especially for scooping grains or beans out, but its metal clip does not clamp down nearly as strongly as the other smaller Kilner jars do. I have purchased four of the 3L size, and all have this same issue, so its not just a defect. Not a major issue, just something to be aware of if you want a tight seal.

Perfect in every way!

I originally bought the 0.5L size to mix protein shake to take to the gym as my drinks bottles started to leak and these were ideal! No leakage,easy to shake the mix and drink straight from the jar after classes. I went on to buy loads more as they are perfect for storing dried lentils,muesli,salt flakes,couscous,bulgur wheat,dried apricots/dates and lots more besides. I bought the 1L size for storing pasta and bulkier items. My husband was happy for me to buy more because he says they look nice on the dresser! They are also durable and sturdy. Perfect in every way!

I bought the pack of wonky cucumbers. Got two in that pack and they fitted in this perfectly. Just pickled them. Turned the kilner upside down after Id done it and no leaking. They really are perfect in size, quality and most importantly price. Fabulous value when theyre on offer. Getting some more for my coffee beans etc.
