As always, delivery was fast and on time. The package includes a stylish protective bag that protects the filter from dust and scratches.I mainly use the variable gray filter for videography to keep time and aperture constant. The adjustment of the filter is smooth, not too difficult and not too easy; unintentional adjustment is hardly possible. The X that results from variable filters is only slightly visible at the highest level (ND9) and will hardly come into play with videos. I don't use Var for photos anyway. neutral density filter.Completely adequate for my requirements and therefore recommended.

I purchased the K&F Concept Variable ND Filter Neutral Density ND2-ND400 (9 stops) with Rotating Ring to be able to use a fast ND with different densities. The packaging is very well done, solid and space-saving container. The glass filter is light and the ring to increase/decrease the density is smooth. It has no end stop lock.To test it best I tried it with three different lenses on the Nikon D750 camera (full frame): 20mm, 35mm and 85mm.- 20mm: in the photos taken with the filter there is no particular loss of sharpness, it introduces a slight hot dominant that can be easily solved in post-production. Also considering that K&F produces other types of filters but with magnetic connection, I think it could be a further plus for this filter. The price/performance ratio is correct based on the performance provided.I attach more photos of the packaging and two shots to the sea.

I absolutely LOVE this filter. It stays on my zoom on my camera all the time! The handle to change filter level is easy, the filtering itself looks great and lets you get that perfect shot without switching filters. We took a trip this weekend and this filter never left the lens. If you take pictures outdoors, do yourself a favor and pick this up. No fiddling with any filters in your bag. Just turn dial it in and go.

K&F Concept is synonymous with quality. I already had other filters in kit, albeit quite old and with several years of service behind me. By virtue of my imminent photographic journey, I decided to opt for something new, always relying on them. I will tell you in detail what, in my opinion, are the pros and cons of this new product of theirs.First of all, the packaging is really great: the box is made of very strong cardboard, impossible even to fold, and then the magnetic opening is very pleasant. The filter is stored in a leatherette case with magnetic closure and not plastic, which gives the product a finish that we can call 'premium'. Inside, wrapped in a protective bag, the filter. It is a fairly heavy piece, already to the touch it gives a great impression. The body is made of aluminum, the glasses are of excellent finish. Very thin (and this is good because this reduces any loss of sharpness), waterproof and scratch-resistant. Very pleasant (and very useful!) the orange little thing you need to change the intensity of the filter itself: the only drawback is not having a limited stroke during rotation, but it's not a big deal, since the limitations ND2 and ND400 are indicated right on the end of the filter itself. In any case, the filter was built in such a way that, even if you go beyond the limits, the annoying 'X' shadow does not show up. For the time being, I had the opportunity to try it only in the city on a somewhat ugly day, in the coming days I hope to integrate this review of mine with other shots in the mountains.Who is the filter addressed to? Surely for those who love landscape photography or for those who want to do long exhibitions in the city (remaining within the limits of 9 stops): of course, the product is not the cheapest on the market, but that's enough try it for a while to understand that it's worth every penny you spend. I'm not a photography
Very surprised by the quality of the filter, it's from the professional nothing to say. The materials are good and the glass super. The adjustment wheel is very smooth and makes it easy to change the density of the filter. No need to have 4 different filters. possibility to shoot video in full day at the largest aperture. I love it!It also comes with its small carrying case which is very sturdy and makes it easy to carry without fear of scratching
KF products have always been excellent value for money, but these last generations have made an incredible leap in quality. I've been using a predecessor of this filter for years to record video outdoors. This one survived. Good workmanship, splendid presentation in these artificial leather bags that now bring perfect results. The genius lies in the orange control (the seal color of the brand), which makes it easy for us to change the intensity of the ND at any time.
Wide diameter and easy to adjust. Comes in a protective box for transporting it.I fancied trying some long exposure shots with my smartphone. I already had bought fixed filters but there was no adjustment to them without shooting through several layers of glass. Thought I'd try this one as it was adjustable. It's like having two polarising filters mounted together and is infinitely variable from light to very dark just by twisting the frame. It does take a bit of fiddling and post editing to get some natural colour back, but it did what I wanted it to and am waiting for some better weather to spend a bit more time tatting with it. Its is big enough to cover all the lenses on the back of the phone with room to spare for hand movement though you do need to hold it ... MoreWide diameter and easy to adjust. I had been meaning to buy a variable ND filter for my 24-70f2.8l for a while. When I heard about K&F filters; having tried a 3xnd filter kit pack that I was impressed with; especially at the price. I looked at K&F's other products and found this more than reasonable price ND filter and had to give it a go.The filter is shipped from China; so its not something to order if you are in a rush - but when it did arrive I was blown away by the quality of the presentation. The filter was packaged inside a well designed; expensive looking, cardboard outer package and then a hard plastic inner with a foam sheet to allow it some protection. On opening the pack one disadvantage to this filter immediately manifested itself; the front element isn't 77mm so your lens cap won't go back on the lens with the filter mounted. The filter mounted smoothly onto my lens. The variable darkness is achieved by rotating the front element; as you would a circular polariser. The K&F filter spun smoothly but with enough resistance to keep the darkness you set so knocking it won't change the setting. One disadvantage to the design is the filter doesn't have coded ND values so there is a bit of guesswork to get the right exposure for stills.I tried the obvious and took an image of a plain white wall at various ND settings; and there was some minor differences in the brightness of the photo - it was a bit lighter at the edges of the frames. At its darkest on long exposures; the 6d went red shift but this is correctable in Lightroom (and made much easier if you use a colour checker passport.) If you zoomed in on the plane white background you could see some variations in darkness; and ultimately pixel peeping at maximum darkness a mesh. That said taking pictures of something more interesting than a wall the effect was lost in the detail of the image.I rarely shoot video so for you dear reviewer; I shot some test video of the same white wall. I don't have any fancy video editing software and just watching the video back in lightroom; the darkening effect was pretty uniform across the photo. As with stills if there were any criticism it is very minor and that the corners show up brighter than the centre of the frame. The majority of the frame being uniformly dark. There was no patterning showing in the video.Using a standard ND filter definitely gave a more even darkness to stills but I am planning 3 long trips this year and carrying 5 ND filters everywhere felt like a chore. Now I just need one. If i could I would ding 1/2 a star for the front element size not being 77mm but its a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things.
All reviewers say that the feel of this filter is top notch, but some seem disappointed with the functionality. Maybe I'm just lucky, but the finish and precision is spot on. I've bought two of different sizes and both have great quality and well aligned polarizers (the elements that make it go nighty night), this means that there is no problems with the "cross shadow" (XS). Now, that's a lie! There will always be an XS at some point, but for me this was just before the 8th (last) stop when using it on a wide lense (16mm APSC). Which means that almost the whole range is usable, all that you can ask for with an variable ND filter.
First variable ND filter purchased (all others I have had have been static) and what a difference it makes! So easy to move around, and not having to carry more than one per lens is a real space-saver in the bag!I've experienced no false colour or the infamous X on any images (although I don't use this all the way closed!)Comparing it to a friends premium ND (I won't mention the brand), I could not see a difference at all in image quality. However, the premium ND was a bit stiffer to move around, so it felt like it would stay exactly where left. The K&F one does feel like it may loosen up over time, although this hasn't happened yet a few months in!
