I’ve only recently started buying from Beauty Affairs and I have to say I’m really impressed, firstly by how quickly Aubrey (customer service rep) got back to me, but also how friendly she was/is. It’s nice to be spoken to in the same kind of language that I’d use if I was working in a store, or how I’d like to be spoken to if I was walking into a store - as opposed to the inauthentic ‘chat bot’ style or the very dry online customer service that I normally get elsewhere. I've shopped at Beauty Affairs for a few years now without a problem, however last week my package was stolen- at the fault of the courier. I purchased around $200+ of skincare and was completely devastated when it happened, as I didn't think I would be able to get it resent or refunded because it wasn't Beauty Affair’s fault. I contacted them and to my surprise, they immediately offered to resend or refund my purchase, not only that but they included a gift! I have never had such exceptional customer service from any other company in my whole life! At first spray, Lady Vengeance reminds me of an expensive, potent older lady perfume (rose ambroxan.) After it settled down to a more tolerable indulgence, I could smell notes of vanilla and lavender. Believe these “even out” the edgy notes a bit. Overall, I’d liken it to a “rich, old lady with a hippie past” (Patchouli) perfume. OVERALL it's one of my favorites added to my collection ✨💞 now!

Lady Vengeance is a clean, musky rose perfume. It's quite a linear fragrance - pink rose and soft lavender are given some volume with a light musk base. A light woody note and patchouli create some interest. An extremely light touch of citrus brushes the top, adding to the clean aspect.Lady Vengeance appears like an old fashioned rose but something about it stays modern, perhaps the use of chemical based notes like iso e super. I could imagine someone like Dita Von Teese wearing this fragrance, a modern bombshell inspired by times gone by. It's also light and clean enough to be worn in the office or on day outings. A solid, multi-use scent, and an excellent example of rose.

I loooooooove it (say it like Michael Scott)

This is a unique fragrance, I like scents that nobody else around me wears. This perfume is in that category, I wear lots of different scents but this one must really mesh with me. I love the smell, it’s very rose forward but has a very intriguing note that I can’t quite figure out, it has a mature nature to it but not smelly old lady musk that makes you gag. I tend to like more of a heavier scent, my go to, Stella McCartney has been discontinued, this does not quite smell like that but is heavier in that sort of sense. Well I wrote a book here about nothing. To sum it up, give this a whirl, it’s goood!

I thought I liked it...

I first thought I liked this in-store. I usually love Rose/Patchouli scents... but once I bought this and got it home and started wearing it, I just really disliked the dry down on my skin. I can get down with a "Grandma Rose", but this fragrance just makes me feel ancient. Not sexy at all, which is fine. I started really disliking the scent on me. I have to return it. I would say to really try this on your skin for a day before deciding.

My new everyday scent

I took a bit of a risk trying this scent since there were no testers available in stores around me, and I’m so glad I did. This is my new everyday scent! It’s divine. It smells lovely but it fades into the background making it suitable for going to the office without overwhelming your coworkers. It’s just really nice. The patchouli and the vanilla and very mellow and warm and the rose elevates the scent. I don’t think there’s another perfume like this. The closest I would say would be the rose patchouli candle from Bath and Body Works. If you like that, you’ll love Lady Vengeance. If you don’t love rose, you won’t love it, but I promise this is not your typical rose scent, it’s in a league of its own.

strongly synthetic

I wanted to love this product so much, I was hoping for a sweet smokey jammy rose with some dark elements and seductive tones. I also LOVE the perfumer behind this which makes me even more sad that I did not like it. If you are the type of person who does not like perfumes that smell perfume-y? Like has that strong synthetic perfume smell you will not like this one. I love perfumes that smell natural and not synthetic (although sometimes i can make exceptions) and this perfume just did not settle into a smell i enjoyed or wanted to waft around me and thus I will be returning.
