I have heard good things about Jo Malone candles, so when I went Nordstrom at MOA i went to get the candle right away. I went with Myrrh & Tonka because the fragrance is musky and soothing. I followed the instruction on how to light it, I let it burn for an hour but it barely filled my masters bathroom. Which is very disappointing. Did get an old stock? I was the last one on display? But im totally not happy with this. For $87 i expected something better. Im 6 hrs away from any Nordstrom so its total disappointment that im stock with this.

I just came to the website to make a purchase of this candle and was also taken aback by the negative comment as well. I was first given this candle as a gift and then was able to purchase several more in a store. I LOVE this candle and refuse to light anything else in my home.The candle gives off a wonderful scent, even when not lit, and is warm, distinctive and just a bit mysterious (the oud). And after I've thoroughly used the candle, I repurpose my black glass candle holders for flowers instead. The quality of Jo Malone candles are beyond compare and worth the higher price for the quality. I'm totally sold on this product.

I am a lover of all Jo Malone, from body to home fragrances. This candle, however, sold as an intense fragrance, has absolutely no fragrance at all. No matter how long I burn this candle, there is no fragrance. I saw the reviews which rated this fragrance highly, which convinced me to try it. I must have a dud, as there is not even a subtle hint of a scent - it’s the same as burning an un scented candle. Seems like a hefty price to pay for a flickering flame. Really disappointed.
I love Jo Malone and have been enjoying Myrrh and Tonka perfume since it came out.The thought of having that smell around the house was irresistible. I had ordered two candles of this scent to indulge over Christmas and lit one. The scent was the awful synthetic formula which is an irritant to nasal passages. So disappointing. Check the ingredients - it is not as you hope and a real confusion as to why it costs so much and could be compared with a yankee candle.I have been able to return the unopened one but will give the just started Myrrh and Tonka candle away. Will stick to Pommegranate Noir. Two stars because hope and packaging were high !
Nothing is great about this. I want a refund. This candle smells a little bit when you take the lid off but once you light it it smells of nothing atall. It gave off black smoke straight away. I had it lit for about an hour and it did not smell of anything whatsoever. No perfume. No beautiful aroma that I was expecting. My d and my husband said it smelt of nothing either. So not just me. I have just dmd you on Instagram and also written this on an insta post. This candle is expensive and for it not to smell one bit is just utterly disappointing. I can't believe it tbh. On reading the reviews now it seems it has smelled nice to some people in years gone by but not recently. I will be returning this and demanding a refund. I may as well be burning a plain tea light. I have used JM candles for years and always been happy, until recently. This candle has practically no scent when lit. Even after several tries, the scent has no throw and you can barely smell it when standing directly above the candle. It also gives of a lot of billowy smokiness, even after trimming the wick. JM did arrange a swap for me, and then the replacement I chose was exactly the same (Orange Blossom). I tried to leave a review for this previously and they did not publish it, which is very poor service. They have also assured me they have not changed their ingredients, but when so many of their candles previously had excellent reviews and now have terrible ones, I can't help but wonder if this company and deceiving their customers.

I prefer the DarK musky woodsy/spicy scents and this takes the cake - I felt weird ordering the actual fragrance of this but Im glad my home smells like this! (I have enough perfumes). I already have this candle and its the most intoxicating scent; I had to buy another and it's not even finished! It's Like Vanilla Musk but not like typical vanilla smells which I don't like. It smells like vanilla incense or vanilla woods...spicy,dark.sensual, mysterious/complex and deep... im obsessed
