Jetboil Summit Skillet

This is a great little skillet that is perfect for backpacking or keeping in the truck if you want to be able to cook eggs or fry fish on the go. The porcelain coating seems to be durable (though I wouldn’t put it over hot coals or overheat it), easy to clean, and the handle is sturdy when extended and compact when folded. I nested a Sea-to-Summit 1.4L X-Pot inside (with a pad to protect the skillet coating) which fits perfectly and even the color almost matches. I use this with a Jetboil MiniMo and can prepare pretty much anything from stew to chicken penne. The only complaint I have is that the included spatula is oddly shaped, making it difficult to use and looks to be made from nylon meaning that it will probably melt. Since it doesn’t really fold into the skillet with the X-Pot inside I’ll probably just end up tossing it and using a bamboo spatula or chopsticks as appropriate. Overall it’s a great little skillet that makes a nice single burner cook package, suitable for non-ultralight hiking or small footprint vehicle camping

Purchased this little pan to take on a kayak camping trip. I wanted to be able to cook and eat some real food on the trip. Placed this pan on a Jetboil Minimo with the pot support and I suddenly became Gordon Ramsey. Sautéing vegetables, flipping pancakes, frying chicken. This pan made was non stick, easy to clean, compact and heated evenly. I looked at other lighter options but was worried they would not distribute heat across the whole pan. This pan did not disappoint.

I got this pan for backpacking to replace a basic nonstick pan that didn't have a folding handle. Based on other reviews, I skipped one lighter pan and went with the Jetboil. I wasn't disappointed. I took it backpacking and easily cooked pancakes with no sticking, no oil or spray used. Cleanup was quick. The small spatula that comes with it was handy too and it fits in the pan. The pan is thick enough not to warp or bow up in the center. Very satisfied.
