TL:DR-- This is a LIFESAVER for households with bare floors and heavy shedders. Our Roomba has made it so that the fur situation is under control. Even when I would vacuum or use our microfiber sweeper every day, it didn't do remotely as good of a job as Roomba does. About our household: We have an e-series Roomba. We have hardwood and vinyl plank floors with area rugs on them and our house is an...interesting...shape. We also have two dogs, one of which is a VERY heavy shedder (aka even when I would sweep/vacuum every day, we'd get little tumbleweeds of fur). This challenges Roomba's cleaning algorithms to the max. I've scheduled it to run every weekday. On the weekend, I try to run our Shark vacuum over the rugs and to get in places Roomba can't (like under our ... MoreTL:DR-- This is a LIFESAVER for households with bare floors and heavy shedders. On the weekend, I try to run our Shark vacuum over the rugs and to get in places Roomba can't (like under our couches or coffee table). Initially, I wanted to get one of the more advanced Roombas that maps the house, simply because our house is SUCH a weird shape. How Roomba fares in our house: Despite the awkward shape of our house, it always docks having cleared the floor of fur and dirt. It transitions well from hard floors to low pile rugs (we have no high pile rugs). However, due to the sheer volume of fur in our house, I do have to vacuum the rugs once a week with our Shark upright. If I don't, there isn't any loose fur but it does get the opportunity to get intertwined with the fibers on the rugs. Again, if not for the sheer amount of fur in our house, the dirt cup would be generously sized. As it is, during the hour and a half that Roomba usually runs, I empty the cup two to three times. If I forget to empty during the run, it still gets all the fur. Every two to three runs, I clean the fur out of the rollers, which show negligible wear after two months of use.

I don't know what the others are complaining about. This this is the best since sliced bread. The rollers I have on it have been running for 6 months with no problems. Yeah the get a little beat up... from normal wear and tear. But they still do their job! The key is actually following the maintenance schedule and cleaning the brushes and machine out once a week. And they engineered this machine so you can do a full clean of it in 5min... Not long at all! If it should fail anywhere it would be my house... but it keeps going! Like I said earlier... I just replace the brushes after 6 months... and not because they were shot... but because they were getting older. And we run that thing almost every day most of the house. I have a high shedding cat, a dog and two women ... MoreI don't know what the others are complaining about. This this is the best since sliced bread. After 12 weeks of use, our Roomba developed a fault that prevented it from cleaning. We had to think for a moment before we realized what was wrong. We have a lot of pets (two dogs and five cats), and even though we have hardwood floors, the small bot still has to pick up a lot of hair. If you don't clean the gears on a frequent basis and thoroughly, you can have the same problem we did. Hair gets trapped behind the rollers when the small plastic parts within them peel out. If you don't get it out, the gear will become trapped, and it will heat up and melt, preventing the roller from rolling. We replaced them, and the problem was solved. I like the pricing of the package because it means I won't have to get another filter for another 6 months.

I was a late adopter, as I was skeptical the robot would really be effective and/or require little in the way of support from me. However, I was pleasantly surprised/pleased. The robot was easy to set up/start using and, once the mapping was done, it has an amazing command of the floor plan. We have a dog that sheds quite a bit and Flora has done an amazing job keeping ahead of the pet hair. Additionally, the self emptying bin/tower is amazing (though it sounds like an aircraft taking off). The only knock on it for me is it's inability to operate reliably in low-light situations. I'm not sure how it does on carpet, but it does very well on hardwood floors!
So this was awesome at first. I was vacuuming 2-3 times a day with two aussies while they were shedding. Fast forward to almost 3 months after I purchased. It won't go home and it keeps saying brushes need replaced. I called customer service and the issue was fixed fir like a day. I went to order new brushes to see if that would remedy the issue and they are $60! That is just ridiculous for something that is so expensive to purchase!!!! Also, this gets stuck every single job (I have picked everything up and it gets stuck on the legs of the fan). It also annoys me that it doesn't "go home" all the time when it's almost dead. Needless to say, I'd rather just vacuum myself and this has been sitting as a bad $400 reminder.
This replacement parts kit has some issues. The parts are quality but are very high price. The filters are suppose to be replaced frequently which means maintenance would cost over $100 per year which is way to much for this product. Also, the number of each part in the kit doesnt match actual maintenance. I have yet to replace my side brush but have replaced rubber brushes 2 times and filters 5 or 6 times so kit could have one brush, 2 rubber brush sets and at least 6 filters.
Hi,Ordered this days ago to perform a maintenance in my i8+. When open the package noticed that the design differs from the one installed on my roomba. I think that maybe it is an improvement but after installed the robot works for a minute and then stop "Clean rollers and press start". I did, it works few more minutes and then stop with the same error (E2). Install back de old ones and it works fine, no errors.
After never receiving a tracking number or hearing back from customer support and a totally janky order confirmation email (for a company that sells robots, your email and website UI is terrible), I was kind of expecting a bad experience with my Roomba. I've had it over a week and run it everyday and it still manages to come back with a full bin. I have a dog and a cat and it cleans up their hair SOO nicely. I usually have to bring it back to the charger bc I think it gets lost. But, oh well. It keeps my floors/feet clean and it's one less thing for me to do. If you have pets, I HIGHLY recommend this machine. Before using, I'd give your place a once over with a regular broom just to get most of the stuff so it won't overfill too quickly. You'll be surprised what it ... MoreAfter never receiving a tracking number or hearing back from customer support and a totally janky order confirmation email (for a company that sells robots, your email and website UI is terrible), I was kind of expecting a bad experience with my Roomba. Great convenient replacement package for the roomba. Everything you need to keep the little fella running efficiently. Great having several extra filters. Good price from Best Buy. Came well packaged in a timely manner. Would recommend this kit for all roomba i7 owners. Very happy with this purchase. Has installation instructions included, but replacing the components is simple and quick.
I have enjoyed this vacuuming robot since we received it for Christmas. It saves time as I can do other tasks/chores while it is cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised that it can work on the uneven natural slate surfaces. With five dogs, it does a remarkable job picking up the hair, even in corners. Occasionally, it will leave clumps of hair, but I just pick those up. With dogs, be sure to set the robot to keep cleaning even when the bin senses it is full or you will be emptying it many times before the job is done. You will need to get new rollers when the cleaning performance becomes unacceptable, as they become harder over time. I LOVE the smart maps. You can divide a large space into separate rooms and just clean the desired rooms. You no longer need the beacons ... MoreI have enjoyed this vacuuming robot since we received it for Christmas. You can divide a large space into separate rooms and just clean the desired rooms. You no longer need the beacons that prevent the robot from cleaning a certain area, such as the dog's water bowl. The smart maps allow drawing "keep out" zones and they work exceptionally well, especially if you have a piece of furniture that the robot continually gets stuck under. You may need to tweak them a bit, because it is difficult to get the size and placement exactly right the first time. I would like to see a perimeter mode to clean where most of the dog hair gathers. Is the robot better than my Sebo vacuum? No, but it is close and saves me time.
