Intel i5-12600KF CPU 3.7GHz (4.9GHz Turbo) 12th Gen LGA 1700 Alder Lake Processor, 10-Cores 16-Threads, 25MB Cache 125W, Multicolour

Outstanding CPU, so many cores, so much GHz... Very impressed with performance in games, seems effortless.

Doe's what it's meant to do. I'm not an expert so I can't really test it to it's full ability.

Major upgrade compared to my i7-7700k. What a difference this has made to my gaming and streaming, it’s like night and day!

Long time AMD fan boy buys 12600kf and happy with it, CCL wrong side of t'hill but privide great service.

Core i5 12600KF - P & E cores

Remember there's no CPU fan with the "K" range of CPU's. I went for the "KF" model as I already have a graphics card, and don't want to use some poorly performing Intel version, this also saves you a few pounds. Also the 12600KF is the only i5, currently, with the E cores.

Fantastic

I built a new PC recently, moving on from my old one which had a 5 year old processor (1st gen Ryzen from 2017) which I had been having various problems with due to instability with it and system RAM. The difference is night and day. Everything is so snappy now. Runs at low temperatures. Specs wise with regard to performance it even exceeds the i9 of the previous gen (the 11900k that is) so a pretty good processor. I had really been considering the 12700k but was at my budget on parts and couldn't justify an extra £100 for what User Benchmark says is a 4% performance increase! The 12600k absolutely seems like the best bang for buck CPU at this moment in time.

Great CPU.

Works really well and gave my system the performance boost it needed. Came fast and well packed.

I5 12600kf is amazing

Great processor! Huge upgrade from my 9400f

Most Powerful mid range cpu I have ever owned.

Amazing CPU. Intel is back in the fight with 12xxx and upcoming 13xxx series. This CPU performs as well or better then AMD's Ryzen 7 5800x depending on the task.

Top tier performance for mid tier price

I pre-ordered this at the moment it became available after the Intel announcement because I needed to upgrade from my Ryzen 2600 which has been a big bottleneck in my system. Ive been rooting for AMD since Ryzen launched but when I saw the 5600X pricing of basically £300 I decided I'd wait to see what intel brought to the table. £260 for a CPU (12600KF), that contends with the almost £400 5800X, is the clear winner. I have no brand loyalty because corporations don't care. I go wherever best value liesI'm using this with an MSI RX 6800 XT Gaming X Trio and a 32GB (2x16) DDR4 3600MHz CL16 Ballistix kit tuned to 4000MHz CL18, and it been running great. All games pushing well over 100FPS and the CPU itself isn't that hard to keep cool. I've got it under a Noctua NH ... MoreI pre-ordered this at the moment it became available after the Intel announcement because I needed to upgrade from my Ryzen 2600 which has been a big bottleneck in my system. I've got it under a Noctua NH U12A Chromax Black, which comes with the LGA1700 bracket in the box, and the 12600KF settles at around 65c in majority of my games which include titles such as: COD MW2019, BF1 and BFV, Forza Horizon 5, GTA V, Mafia Definitive Edition, RDR2, and othersI am running it with MCE off which means it uses stock clock speeds. I have seen some cores hit 4.9GHz for a few seconds in very low loads but in gaming the P-cores stay at 4.5GHz and the E-cores bounce between 3.4 and 3.7GHz. Total package power in games stays around 50 to 75WI haven't got other CPUs to bench this against but according to reviews from sources such as Gamers Nexus; LTT and Hardware Unboxed, this i5 beats the 5800X in almost every game, definitively beats the 5600X in all production workloads, and even gives the 5900X tough competition in gaming. For the current pricing it's a better buy than AMD's offering
