I was on the fence about getting an air fryer, but then I saw this small one go on sale and I thought it couldnââŹâ˘t hurt to try. I love it! Those cool cats have the internets for that! In the end, it didnât matter as the machine was able to fairly easily beep instructions at me so even IâŚ. A 45 year old hag, could work it out. Everything Iâve put in the air fryer so far has been really delicious to eat. Southern chicken? Yum. Bacon thatâs crispy? Yum. Goat cheese balls breaded in panko crumbs? Yum yum. My Instapot is black and that makes me happy because so is my heart. Except for air fried food. That turns my heart positively happy. For real. I know itâs small, but itâs awesome and you should get one. Or else go to boarding school or whatever. That works too, maybe??

This is an awesome little kitchen tool! It gets used almost every single day, takes up very little space on the counter, and has a higher cooking wattage than most air fryers of this size. The size is perfect for one person, and could probably work quite well for two people with moderate eating habits (the square basket provides much more surface area than a round basket). I use it for "boiled" eggs (soft, medium, or hard), and it's great for cooking chicken pieces, steak, pork chops, hamburgers, fish, etc. I also use it to cook ground meat (beef, pork, turkey) that I intend to use in soups, stews, spaghetti sauce, etc. Cooking meat in this little air fryer sure beats getting the entire kitchen greasy from using a frying pan, or heating up the house on a hot summer ... MoreThis is an awesome little kitchen tool! I bought my aqua Vortex mini from Walmart. I decided it was best to get a $50 2 quart air fryer to try before investing in a big one with bells and whistles. I liked the ease of use on the vortex mini, which is like the regular vortex. The digital buttons allow you to choose the cooking mode and use the dial to easily adjust time and temp.Make sure to follow instructions in the manual and BEFORE FIRST USE, clean the cooking chamber + tray and then do a test run like the manual says. I think thatâs why I didnât have the plastic smell after the test run.I am on weight watchers so my recipes are lighter. Still, I found ample recipes online. If I decide I need a bigger vortex, Iâll upgrade.Word of caution: Make sure to never place food in thatâs high enough to potentially contact the heating coil. The one mistake I made was putting French rolls in my mini to crisp up. The roll must have shifted as I inserted the tray and contacted the heating coil because less than a minute later, black smoke started to billow out. Turned off machine immediately and let it cool off. Tried the baking soda and water paste method instant pot customer service recommended to get the blackened, burned bread off the coil but didnât work so I had to return it and will buy a new vortex. Lesson learned!I really loved my mini vortex and am not hesitating to buy a replacement.

I watched a couple of you tube videos, unboxed it, read the direction several times, cleaned it and attempted to perform the pre-test three different times after referring back to the instruction manual. I also tried resetting it various times, as well as unplugging and replugging, and turning the sounds off/on. The box showed a cooking tray and the booklet inside also showed a cooking tray. It appeared by the description that the tray came with it but mine did not have one. So I contacted the company via email two times asking if it was suppose to come with a tray or was I to purchase one. I never received a response to answer that question. I waited and now its past the return time to return the airfryer to walmart. When I had looked on line to purchase the tray, they cost about half of what the air fryer costed. So I guess I have to end up buying the tray in order to use the air fryer. I will not buy another Instant product of any kind in the future.
My family and I really enjoyed our other air fryer as it was so easy and convenient for us! The minute they saw this, we haven't stopped trying new things to eat!! The control panel is very easy to read and use and the enclosed information guide will help you through it. I love cooking two different things at the same time and it's all healthy! This has become the favorite appliance to use because it makes your food quickly and healthy! I can make chicken in one basket and french fries in the other! This is something we look forward to doing together......cooking together and that's important!
