Igora Royal 4-90

This is my repeated purchase. Since it Provides full coverage for white hair, hence this time I bought 4 tubes. good packaging also and price is cheaper than other suppliers. thank you. will repeat order once I finish these 4 tubes.

Only for professional use or if you have experience I have long red hair, so it is important for me that the color is saturated, lasts a long time and the dye does not injure the hair. Absolutes Silver is everything, LOVE IT!

I ordered a tube of Slate and a tube of Silver. The Slate by itself is VERY dark, almost black, but it's amazing for making a shadow root and for mixing with the Silver. The Silver on its' own is an absolute(s) dream. It truly is Silver! I was worried about green undertones and will be watching as the colors fade (easily if temporarily fixed if that happens) but I will be ordering more of this perfect silver. Applies so easily, does not dry out or damage hair, mix 1:1, I use 20 volume, let process for about a half hour, rinsed then shampooed with a sulfate free shampoo and used a good silicone free rinse out conditioner. My hair feels wonderful! And the shine from this color, it's almost metallic. It's everything I wanted when I decided I wanted silver hair! Note you should have a very light base and tone so your hair is as even as possible for Silver. The Slate may be more forgiving. I mixed 1 ounce Slate with about an inch of silver along with 1 ounce plus 1 teaspoon (I guess-timated for the silver addition) for my shadow root (which needs to be a bit darker), then used Silver straight 1:1 for my lengths and used a very very wide tooth comb to comb the 2 colors through my hair once to try to blend them in together. It worked. Adding a picture (face blurred) so you can get an idea of the 2 colors together.

I have natural copper hair color and wanted to tone it down, I've been experimenting with different colors and this is it! it's beautiful. My hair is the softest it's been in a long time. I used Absolutes 7.50 and 20 volume developer; I left it on for 20 minutes.

Mixed Feelings

I just got this and had to do a strand test. After doing the allergy test of course. Well the strand test ended up with me doing my roots to about halfway down on the undersides of the front sides of my hair. Which was very light, about a 10 and toned already. Slate is DARK, like if you left it on for the full 30 to 45 minutes with I'm going to guess 10 volume (deposit only) you'd have black or close to black hair. I was expecting a dark slate grey. I used 20 volume, used a tint brush to apply to roots and then smoothed down so there wouldn't be a line and luckily only processed for about 20 minutes. Took pretty well, except on my white hair that's coming in (I thought this was for grey or white hair?). See attached picture for where it didn't take and how dark next to that it is and the green undertone in the Slate. I'm not sure if I should get one of the Igora Pearlescence, maybe in coral (which looks more pink) and add just a bit in to help neutralize the green. Green is not my color! And I don't want purple or lilac or blue. I want a nice neutral grey. I did get the silver also, but have not tested that yet. Need to do the roots all over with the darker Slate, then I'll deal with the silver. The plan is the dark root going into silver.I would still recommend the Igora for low scent, easy application, a little goes a long way and it did not damage or dry out my hair which is a miracle having fine, thin, aging hair.

Such a natural deep copper. BUT your online info for this shade is INCORRECT. Yes, this is for grey hair, but if you have MORE than 90% grey hair you MUST use 20vol not 30vol as you state. It says so on the Schwarzkopf site itself. ❤️

I usually use Wella products for my silver hair. They always leaving me wishing they had done more. I tried Igora and it is winning as it blended my silver tones well. Still not quite there but I was happier with the end result.

Obviously someone at Schwarzkopf knows that these "professional only" products are going to get into the hands of mere mortals who will possibly pay as much as $11.00 a tube for them. Then they should inform these home stylists of exactly what the product is, a toner, a permanent hair color or a semi-permanent one. They could even go one better and give sane instructions. I will do that now. For the silver white, you are going to get a dark platinum result. Maybe even too old-ladyish. Your hair must be taken (newly) up to a very high blonde, or at least medium high. Unless you have a very head hugging short style you will need at least two of these tubes. I should have had three to take the stress out. Start at the roots, not the grown out areas the package seems to indicate, then going back to the roots. You want an even color of silver, you can always come back a few days later and put brighter highlights in.
