HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw Printer

Black and white printer in 2022, is there really a point. We'll that explains why is was given away for free. Still in its box and hasn't seen daylight yet.

Easy Set-up and Works Great!

I bought this printer a couple of weeks ago. I read the reviews online that were 1-2 stars and complaints about install and set-up. It isn't a plug and play per se. I watched a video about the set-up of the printer before I started. Then I followed the easy steps to install it and tie it to my laptop. I don't have to log in each time to print as many reives mentioned. For the price this was a great home printer. It prints, copies and scans, and that is all I need!

Like the versitality

Printer works wirelessly with Widows 7 thru 11. I need the Auto Doc Feeder for multi page docs. I like laser printers better than inkjets.

I bought this printer because it had a document feeder on it. It also prints double sided! Bonus! Love it!

Poor Setup Process and Overpriced-and get less

I bought this version om M234sdw without the "e" version so printer did not have to be connected to internet 24/7 and so HP can monitor everything you print, etc. This is a ridiculous program/policy and also to monitor ink usage. Please read carefully! I do not understand why anyone would agree to HP Smart, etc. I had to pay $60 more for same printer for some privacy (supposedly) a year less warranty and no ink program.When trying to decide which printer to purchase I got conflicting info from HP sales staff and Tech staff about the differences between models with and w/o "e".Printer setup process was terrible. Without installing HP Smart this I need 6 Icons on Desktop for this Printer--ridiculous.Careful if you sign up for HP Ink Program, if you do it to soon the ink in starter cartridge may count as part of free ink. Supposedly models without "e" you can use third party ink but read this carefully--I do not think you can. I have always used HP ink in my other HP printers and plan to in the future. They put chips on their cartridges anyway and control if printer will print or not.I have been an HP supporter for about 20 years between PCs and Printers, but this has been a big confusing and frustrating process for just trying to buy a quality home printer. The HP Smart etc. is giving me doubts od future HP purchases.Other than all the Misinformation, Setup issues and having to have 6 icons so far seems to print well, Time will tell.

Bought for my wife's use. Printer and copier features work excellently. Scanner feature a genuine pain. Ended up buying a portable Brother scanner as a work-around.
