HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Intel 14" FHD Touch 256 GB 8 GB RAM

The HP EliteBook G8 is the best HP notebook I think I’ve ever had, and this says a lot because I’ve had a lot of notebooks over the years. It’s fast, responsive and super lightweight. My favorite feature by far is the fact that it can charge via usb-c! Which makes my MacBook charger now universal for both notebooks! The fingerprint ID is a GAMECHANGER! The only thing I wish it had but doesn’t is a touchscreen.

A sleek & lightweight laptop with lots of features! A great value!

Came in a generic box, but had all of the wrappings and protectants of a brand new laptop. Now, I've only had it about a week, but so far, it performs well. The laptop itself seems pretty sleek and pretty lightweight, loving the silver metal look and feel. The battery holds a nice and decent charge, and the laptop is responsive and doesn't seem sluggish at all. I have noticed that it can get pretty warm at times, but not too hot to handle. Thankfully, it came with Windows 10 installed and it does have the option to upgrade to Windows 11 (if that is what you choose to use). The screen is pretty nice and vibrant for a laptop in this class, and it's a touchscreen as well. It has plenty of ports to keep your extended devices connected. A pair of USB 3.0, a pair of USB-C (Thunderbolt), SD Card reader, HDMI, Headphone/Microphone combo, etc. Also has a built-in fingerprint reader that is responsive. It charges via a USB-C (Thunderbolt) style charger, and doesn't seem to take too long to charge, longer than some though. The sound quality might not be the loudest I've ever heard on a laptop, but, for this kind of laptop, it's not bad at all. All-in-all, I am thrilled that I bought this laptop, even refurbished (remember, it still seems as if it was still new). I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone who needs a work & play laptop for a reasonable price.

A true PC for demanding and informed users

This device is very ergonomic, beautiful and lightweight. It runs fast with great features. I checked the specs and I am happy with its great storage capacity, an excellent 16 Gb Ram and fast processor. Any demanding traditional PC lover would love this device. The screen displays sharp images. Sign in does not take long with just your fingerprint or a 4 digit login. The keyboard lights up to help you find any key even in the dark. Browsing any site or completing any work is pleasant with its enhanced touchscreen technology. It charges fast and the battery lasts long. The sound system is great. Finally, the new design of HP logo looks fancy on it.

Good for my Masters degree assignments.

Excellent price. I have set it up but have not used it. I am going out of town for Christmas and will use it then.

Great laptop, in like new condition!

Just what I was needing, a fast and very functional laptop! The 14 inch laptop is not favored by everyone but it has a great display and is compact enough to take in the car, office, library, etc.

Provides great value for the price. Easy to set up and get going. Would reccomend

Provides great value for the price. Easy to set up.

Rob 's review of HP Spectre x360 13.3" 2 in 1 Laptop - Intel Core i7

Pros: This is my 2nd Chromebook. I bought it because it had 8gb ram, a 64gb eMMC and a touchscreen. It will run as many Android and Linux apps as you want. It is also the EE version so it is robust. The screen is excellent for an inexpensive Chromebook.Cons: It's a bit heavier than my previous 11 inch HP.

So far... excellent and impressed. 5/5

Good trustworthy purchase so far. Thoroughly impressed by the refurbishment.

Speed and specs

This is a backup computer for me. Multiple small tasks, tabs and apps are handled quite swiftly. Older model so the battery life is not what the specs say but still decent.

bad product

power goes off even after hours of charging reboot several times unnecessarily automatically laptop is generating severe heat
