It takes time to get used to the whereabouts of the apps and keys needed to operate the laptop. Not like my old W10 model. You will need to buy a mouse offering wifi and possibly a bluetooth connection,and dvd player if you envisage using an external hard drive or the dvd playerfor cds as there are only two USB slots which will be used by other gadgets. The 512Gb hard drive is sufficient for my needs and is very quick to bring up apps or pictures on the device. Overall I am pleased with the laptop.

My laptop stays on my desk 24 seven I never take it anywhere, so there’s no chance that this is caused from a physical issue. I bought this a month ago on behalf of an elderly friend of mine. When I received it I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive it is given its price. Web pages load very quickly and software installs at a good pace too. I was a bit concerned how my friend would take to Windows 11, but after talking him through the differences from Windows 10, he's using it quite happily. We did have a problem with connecting his printer up insofar as it worked first of all then stopped after a couple of days, but reinstalling it fixed the problem. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the keyboard feels cheap compared to the rest of the build of the laptop. It looks great, and the screen is bright but the keys on the keyboard feel flimsy.

The resolution was NOT the advertised 1920x1080 and instead it was a 1366x768 which was disappointing. This is my 3rd HP laptop, and by far the best. Was apprehensive to start with Windows 11 but it was easy to set up and use. Im so pleased that I decided to take the step. The laptop starts up in an instant, is very clear and easy to use. It is strange learning a new Windows set up but was far easier than I expected . It is easy to find your way around this laptop, and with being an advanced age with no formal IT training, I am pleased and relieved that this HP laptop makes it so easy. The Blue colour case is very pleasing and a very pleasant change from silver. The laptop is also easy to log off and close down when you have finished the things you wanted to do. I would recommend this laptop.
This has replaced an 8 year old HP laptop with Windows 10, which was driving me mad as it was so slow. The new one is a revelation. It is almost instantaneous in its speed for my admittedly undemanding use - mainly MS Office, e-Mail snd Internet Banking. With Windows 11 pre#loaded, it feels and looks modern, with good definition on the screen. There is only one downside for me and that is the characters on the keyboard, which are in some lights, very difficult to read. The old one had black keys and white characters, but on this one, they appear to be etched or shallow moulded into the plastic. That hasn’t diminished the pleasure of using the new laptop, however. It has exceeded expectations.

It has no issues with some light gaming. Featuring the latest gen Intel processor and their new IrisXE integrated graphics, this is easily capable of 4k@60fps output for normal output. This was the cheapest laptop I could find (that wasn't a Chromebook, eww) with these specs. The build quality isn't very great. It feels very much like the whole thing is plastic. The heat wasn't getting too bad, though... Although make sure to keep the bottom clear (hard surfaces - carpet or thick desktop pads will ruin the cooling). The best thing about this laptop, in my opinion, is the sound quality. The DAC is capable of 24 bit-depth at 48kHz sampling, so it's capable of outputting HiFi audio. The speakers were also nice and loud, though I'd recommend headphones if you want to really benefit from HiFi.In the end, though, I returned mine and decided to go with a more performant laptop that can last me a good five years (at least) before needing to upgrade.Verdict: HP is very consumer-unfriendly. But, for the price and performance, this is a good deal.
