These are ok. $36 worth ok? Not really. I think these are overpriced for the amount you get and the longevity on the lips. I bought 3 (rise, slip and haze), thinking they’d all look different, but there wasnt much difference on the lips once settled in. I’m olive/neautral light tan skin, and my lips are stighly taupe when bare. Rise didnt show any pigment, so it could be an option if you want clear type gloss and you have similar coloring to me. Slip was a pretty, more pink toned on me. And Haze was more red berry on me. I did end up keeping Haze because it faded after maybe 10 mins to a neautral wash of color, which was what I was looking for. However, that being said, I wont repurchase. It doesn’t seem to dry out my lips as others have said, but it doesnt really nourish them either. I also didnt really notice any “plumping” though there is a slight minty-cooling sensation throughout wear. I dont mind the tingling (I am usually sensitive to plumpers) but I wish that it didnt. I’m very aware i have this gloss on my lips. After 15 mins, i kind of get tired of that sensation. I would prefer it just be a gloss tbh. I prefer the Glossier Ultralip over these. Those are glossy, the pigment lasts longer and overall, no fuss. Also, they are half the price. Hope this review helps!

You will always need to twist a little more than the metal tube so you can apply it , but what do you do when you finish applying if you can't retract it back? I made the mistake of twisting out too much, more that can fit below the cap. My husband thought he could fix this but instead he twisted out even more! So now, I leave my balm out without the cap, hoping the tube doesn't tip over. I think a better way to package this would be in a retractable tube or in a lip container with a lip brush. Without this issue, I'd give it a 5/5 for the color and formula but unfortunately, almost all lip products are retractable these days so if you don't realize this one does not retract, you will waste your purchase.
