Horlicks Malted Milk Drink Original 500g

This incredibly talented artist captured both the look and the essence of my dog. A pleasure to work with, Lena sent me a photo of the finished painting and offered to make changes before she shipped it. nnAlthough worth the wait, I ordered the painting on Oct. 20, well in time for Christmas, and did not receive it until Dec 29. It was not shipped from Ukraine until four weeks after I placed the order. Plus, shipping from Ukraine took a VERY long time to get to the US about 4 weeks. When ordering, this needs to be taken into account. Of course Lena has no control over the postal system, but I did not anticipate it would be 4 weeks from the time I placed my order until it was completed. nnLena, your work is wonderful. I do hope you sign your art in the future. I ... MoreThis incredibly talented artist captured both the look and the essence of my dog. This portrait is exactly what I was hoping for It was supposed to be a Christmas gift for a friend, and even though it is now several weeks after Christmas, I still think she will absolutely love it. This seller does custom pet portraits at a price lower than what many other Etsy sellers offer, with the same great level of quality. Only complaint is that it took almost a month for the seller to respond to my message with the picture I wanted drawn, though it was during the Christmas rush, so I understood the delay. It also took exactly one month to get here, but you cant expect shipping to be very fast when its coming from the other side of the world, and shipping delays are out of the sellers control. nOverall, great product, and I think it will be a great belated ... MoreThis portrait is exactly what I was hoping for It was supposed to be a Christmas gift for a friend, and even though it is now several weeks after Christmas, I still think she will absolutely love it. Ok must admit last time i purchased this drink the colour of the container was orange so that really confused me!! but inside the contents are just the same!!! Horlicks traditional malt is a great tasting milky malty which is nice and creamy!! for me i find this product is sweet enough and i do not need to add sugar!! great drink all round !! Always felt this drink was good for you whether it is or not i don't know

A great hot lovely tasting drink

Absolutely brilliant bedtime hot drink or anytime hot drink which aids restful sleep. I have noticed a real difference in my sleep patterns since drinking Horlicks up to two hours before I go to sleep. Lovely tasting.

Different product

I have been drinking Horlicks virtually all my life, but in the last couple of years it has changed completely. It now has very little taste, not the malty flavour as in the past, and is a paler colour. I recently realised why; it is now made by a different company - Aimia , not GSK who used to produce it. They have taken over the Horlicks name but not the original recipe. I don?t see how they can legitimately call it ?Original? when it is nothing like the original product.

End of an era

I previously used to like Horlicks, however one day it just wasn't quite right. Perturbed, I contacted the company. Their response for the difference i was detecting was, according to them because, the old machine that used to make it, and which had been used for years, had to be replaced.I haven't purchased it since.

I wanted to drink a

I wanted to drink a "malted" that I used to have when I was growing up in Brooklyn. Malteds are simply not available in New York City anymore. That amazes me. Milkshakes are nowhere near as good. So, I bought the Horlicks, got some good vanilla ice cream, added a half cup of milk, and blended it until it got foamy. It tasted exactly like I remembered from my childhood. I also made a chocolate malted by adding Droste's powdered cocoa, and that was also great. Remember to chill the blender container in the freezer before you start.

Just as good as Asda Instant malt drink

I like the taste of malted barley.I bought all three so I could compare them - Horlicks, Ovaltine, Asda Instant malt drink.Whilst Asda Instant malt drink can be made with wayer, if it is made with milk instead than it's as nice as Horlicks [when Horlicks is also made with milk]. They are both very nice indeed.Whilst Ovaltine has more than double the amount of malted barley than either of these, Ovaltime includes cocoa and its taste overwhelms the nice malted barley taste so I can't be bothered with it.Asda Instant malt drink, including its milk, costs 28p a mug.Horlicks, including its milk, costs 33p a mug.Ovaltime, including its milk, costs 39p a mug.

got a question, anybody help please?

Horlicks is THE BEST!!! However, some kind friend brought me some, knowing how I love HORLICKS, but as grateful and excited as I was, and bountifully thanked my friend, afterwards I read the label where it stated "HYDROGENATED" and to my dismay, I had to throw it in the dustbin!!!When hydrogen is blasted into a food, (hydrogenated or patricianly hydrogenated), it becomes a great shelf life for the benefit of the manufacturer, however it becomes highly TOXIC TO CONSUMER. I WOULD BUY HORLICKS BY 6-PACK IF I COULD BE REASSURED IT IS NOT GOING TO HAVE TO GO IN THE DUSTBIN WHEN IT GETS HERE. :( PLEASE COULD someone let me know. I'd give it 5 stars but for this fact. thank you.

what happened?!

So I saw other peoples reviews which were mainly negative however I chose to go ahead and buy this thinking I had not had horlicks since I was a child and so I dont really remember what to expect well I was totally wrong! I made it up with water at first which I thought was why it tasted so bad however I decided to remake it again with milk as per instructions and it made no difference! Was tasteless, couldnt taste the malt and hardly any sweetness! Very disappointed and even though I had it last as a child I remember it wasnt like this!
