Hoka Clifton 9 GTX Stealth Tech

I typically wear a size 10-10.5 Women's wide in Nike and Adidas, but I fit a 9.5 Women's regular in the HOKA Bondi 8. The Clifton 9 GTX TS felt a bit tighter in the toe box and heel by comparison. It was still a comfortable run, though. The weird red color grew on me, and I loved the reflective elements.I might have received a defective pair because they weren't waterproof as expected. I didn't get to test them in Vancouver rain, but when I showered a patient, both shoes got wet inside. My right foot got wet at the tip of the toe box, which might explain how water got inside the toe box and sides. In comparison, my Nike Pegasus GTX dries in 1-2 hours, even after I dunk my entire foot in a stream. But the Nike's are trail runners that aren't as padded or comfortable.I'm exchanging them for the Bondi 8 because they're comfy and I've decided not to bother with GTX runners anymore.
