Hill's Science Diet Adult Small Paws 7+ Dry Dog Food - 7.03kg

I’ve been feeding my adult chihuahuas Hill’s Science diet dry food with homemade dog food and Brutus Bone Broth (chicken) for the last year and a half. They love it, and they are in terrific shape with lots of energy. They will even just eat a little bit of the dry food and bone broth as a lunchtime snack or if I am out of the homemade batch I make for them. No weight, stomach or skin issues - if you are a chihuahua parent you know how picky they can be, along with their little systems. They love their “kibbies” 🐕🐕

Something isn’t right. Smells terrible. The color is different. And kibble size doesn’t look the same. Bag is normal as purchased in past. Am returning to your store this weekend.

From puppy to adult

This is the 4rd level of Science Diet my dogs have been on as they age. I never have a problem with them not having the right balanced diet and have been feeding it to Rosie who came to us as a puppy who is now a healthy 10 year old. I encourge anyone looking for a dog food to consider Science Diet.

I'll always stick with a good thing.

My dogs have been on Science Diet all their lives. Weaned on SD puppy food, then to Adult 1 -7. They are now 14 and 18 with 0 health problems. Even at that age, I have them on Adult 1 - 7. I figure if it ain't broke don't fix it. I tried SD Senior but they snubbed their noses at it.

Made my 3 dogs sick

I was very excited to “level up” to this premium brand for my 2 senior dogs. They both started vomiting yellow vile over several days (even though I made the food change gradual). Thought maybe they were just allergic to an ingredient - but then it made my foster dog ill too. I had purchased 2 big bags, I had to eat the cost of the opened bag, but returned the sealed bag back to Petco.

Multiple benefits over competition

I decided to try this product by chance (and reputation) and I have to say WOW. 1) my dog had bowel issues and wasn't regular. Solved. 2) she also had very bad breath. Solved. 3) the energy level of both my dogs is through the roof, which is proof that the food makes them feel great. 4) I've noticed a shine on both of their coats that they've never had before. I never really had so many noticable benefits from a dog food and I have become a loyal customer for life because of these factors.

New formula caused pancreatitis

My dog has been on this food and has never had any health problems. My most recent bag said “new look coming soon” but the kibble had completely changed. The kibble was smaller, lighter in color, and smelled different. Two days after starting the new bag my dog developed serve vomiting and bloody diarrhea. She was admitted into an emergency animal hospital for treatment. She was on a prescription Wet food diet for several weeks. Within 4 days of reintroducing this food back into her diet severe vomiting and dirarhea reappeared. She had to be hospitalized with pancreatitis for the 2nd time within a month.weve decided to keep her on a prescription diet indefinitely due to the frequency of the pancreatitis from this food.

This has been my dog's food for some time. I got first introduced to Hill's Science Diet when my dog's test results returned abnormalities in his kidney values. Our vet recommended Hill's Science Diet (Kidney Care), which requires vet approval. When my dog's succeeding kidney test results returned normal, we switched back to the regular food but stayed with the same brand. He's a long-hair chihuahua and he's finicky with foods so I mix it with wet food.

I have been using this product for a few years now and my dogs love it. Its the perfect size for small breeds and doesn't cause any stomach issues. Definitely recommend this product for dogs over 7. Thought this food would be great

I started using this food for my 7 y.o. chihuahua. She seemed to love it at first. I loved how tiny the bites were and the fact that my baby did not have a hard time eating this food. Her stool improved and became consistently firm. However, after a month of using feeding my chihuahua this food, she started to shed A LOT!! It was not her normal shed!! I would rub my hand over her coat and my hand would be full of hair. Since she was almost done with the bag at this time, I continued feeding her and the excessive shedding continued. I ended up purchasing another brand of food and as of now, the excessive shedding has ceased. My floor is no longer covered with hair and when I pet my chihuahua, I no longer have a hand full of hair.
