My vet prescribed/advised this after my cat had struvites removed (bladder stones). He is susceptible to anxiety and cystitis too & still had little bouts since the operation. He is much better now as this food helps keep struvites away and also helps him be less stressed. He had bad smelly, loose stools on other cat foods & I'd finally found that he was ok on Royal Canin, so I was suspicious about how this change would affect him when it was suggested, but he's better on it in that sense too thankfully.

My cat has had terrible bladder and infection problems which were difficult to clear up.I am very pleased with this Prescription diet c/d Urinary Care cat food and alongwith Hills Prescription diet c/d Urinary Stress Cat pouches (wet food), so far she is healthyand free from all bladder problems. My cat enjoys both the dry food and wet food and I will continue to purchase these foods in preference to any thing else.

My kitty loves the taste of this. Have used it for years, contains L tryptophan, so helps to calm. Seems to do the trick in keeping her bladder healthy. I soak the biscuits in hot water, and feed it semi-soft /soft as a wet diet is better for cats with bladder problems. I also give some dry as treats. She hasn't had poorly bladder for a number of years since feeding this food. I also feed a couple of sachets of wet meaty food each day. Seems to do the trick

It Seems To Work
3 August 2015

Still work in progress, but it seems that Leela is doing much better after 4 weeks on this food and Cystophan twice daily. She is also getting some urinary tract care. All sold in this website at much better prices than my vet's.She is one of those cats who simply lick around the wet food, so I have to smash this food to mix it with the gravy and then add some water. She isn't a good drinker, which is one the reasons we have this problem. I also give her some Liquivite as one of her meals to make sure that she drinks plenty of water during the day.So far so good, less visits to the litter tray and she seems to start doing larger amounts, still a bit of blood. Another urine test in a few weeks and fingers crossed she'll be fine. Review of Hill's Prescription Diet C/D Feline Urinary Stress Chicken - Dry
8 July 2022

Brilliant cat biscuits, my cat loves them. Was first recommend by my vet to help stop my cats reaccurring uti, thankfully it worked and he's still enjoying them now. The main ingredient dissolves the struvite crystals that form inside the cats bladder causing an infection. Would definitely recommend.

Tasty Life Saver!
13 December 2016

My little Lady was horribly neglected as a tiny kitten roaming the street near her 'home' down the road from where we lived, She was just about to be sold to 2-3 lads when a neighbour spotted this and ran over and bought her on the spot to stop the lads getting their hands on her, if she hadn't the lads were going to use Lady to train their ferrets on - to hunt rabbits!!*** Our neighbour gave her to us as she had no room for another cat.She was so malnourished that when we took her to the vets he agreed with me that she was around 8 weeks old - until he checked her mouth and was so surprised that he said a naughty word. She was at least 5 months if not older. All of this sadly caused her to have a problem of bladder sludge. She was at least 5 months if not older. All of this sadly caused her to have a problem of bladder sludge. My vet recommended this product and said I would have to feed her this for the rest of her life. We have fed both Lady and my other cats on this for 10 years and as long as I don't run out Lady is fine if however I do run out for a while within a fortnight she is in pain and running around desperately trying to urinate. This has only happened very occasionally over the last 10 years I hasten to say in my defence. My other cats like it too, in fact the next oldest loves it so much he will barely touch anything else except water. At least I know he's unlikely to develop bladder issues! While this is not a cheap option it's kept my cats healthy with shiny coats, good teeth etc and they all eat it all down to the last biscuit in the box. When the parcel comes they know what it is and weave round my legs telling me how hungry they are!!This food has been a lifesaver for my little Lady and worth every penny it costs. The quality is excellent as usual with Hill's products, it keeps fresh in the bag, my cats love it so there's no waste and considering I feed 6 cats with it it lasts a good while. I'm impressed and my cats are happy!

Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Stress Urinary Care food has been created to support common sign of urinary disease in cats. It is clinically proven to reduce the recurrence of Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease FLUTD and contains ingredients to help manage stress in cats, a known risk factor for FIC (Feline Idiopathic Cystitis). This is achieved in part by carefully managing the mineral content of the food to reduce crystal and stone formation in the urine. This food can dissolve some types of bladder stones and prevent the formation of others. This formula also contains ingredients that help cats deal with stress, which is known to affect bladder health. Many cats have improved urinary health when fed this food long-term.
