I used Treet Silver blades with it.I placed the order with Grown man Shave but forgot to add it to my previous order. Grown man shave company was offering free shipments over $75 and this razor was costing around $70, so requested them to waive the shipping fee which got approved.I will definitely buy from them again.

I shave my entire face and head every day. I've used a Merkur 34c for a while, and while I've been pleased with it overall on my facial shave, I've been disappointed at times with the results shaving my head. I heard the Henson AL13 was a good head shaving razor, and after several shaves I agree. It does fine on my face as well, but after years of trying the HeadBlade, cartridge razors, and several safety razors, this is by far the best head shaving solution I've found. I've used the RK, Astra, King C Gillette and Lord blades so far, all with excellent results.

Finally a Razor to look forward to shaving withI came to Frank around me wanting to look to going back to my grandfather's way of shaving, and I had already come across Henson Shaving's AL13. After a few questions around which would be the best style between Mild & Medium, decided to go the Medium path. Just got my kit arrive in time for my morning shave.And can't stop raving about the finish at the end of the shave. Minimal irritation(which should soothe with more uses), Clean finish and super easy to use.A BIG THUMBS UP from me. And Bye Bye Cartridge razors!

It is very high quality and light enuf to take camping instead of those ****** disposables. But the Astra blades went into the "circular file" after the first painfull shave. You should not give those blades away even for free. Cheap chinese worthless trash polluting the planet. Didn't take any stars off since I bought the razor and the blades were free.

The Canadian Henson aerospace machining company put all their effort into simplicity, function, and making each one precise with their carefully controlled processes. I now have 3 of these and don't currently plan to try other razors. I picked up the version 2 medium this time, in the interest of researching if it is worthwhile to upgrade from version 1, which I have in mild and medium. The V2 is a bit more efficient and has some subtle tweaks to add to comfort. If you have a version 1, I don't think you absolutely need to upgrade, but I am glad I did. Main thing I noticed is the V2(New England Shave sells only V2, which is good) is a bit more efficient than V1. The mild is best for peach fuzz, people new to double edge shaving, and body/head shaving. Get some samples of blades....they are cheap, to find what works best with your specific skin-whisker combo. If you want a no drama, easy care, gets the job done, no defects razor, this is the one. You will not regret getting it. If you want a heavier or different shape handle, this has standard threads and you can buy after market stainless steel handles.

For a while I’ve been thinking of making the change from the supermarket throw away head razors to the double edge safety’s. Finally I’ve made the switch! I was concerned about cutting myself to shreds but this particular razor is great for this newbie. Great design, looks great. I have the medium and I think that’s a good start. I recommend thinking of how you’re going to dispose of the used razor blades. I bought a razor bank, which are cheap, worth it and safe. FineShave were awesome. Quick postage! Do it. Make the change!

This is exactly what I was looking for. Very comfortable, easy to rinse, very close shave. I thought it was kind of expensive but hoped that the price indicated quality, and IT ABSOLUTELY DID, you legit will not need another one in your life. And idk how to explain it, but i actually like shaving. It's just easy now. I'm proud of having this legit big boy razor
