The first tiger shark lasted 17 years with a couple of part replaced over the years, filters, track, etc. The motor finally gave out. So I’m hopeful that I get another good run with this QC model. The only downside for me was the power cord to the transformer is shorter now causing me to use an extension cord. Secondly the cleaner takes a little more time in getting the air out and firmly attaching itself to the pool surface. However it does clean and pick up dirt ,dead algae and leaves as stated so it gets a 5 star review from Wading River, NY.

Overall pleased, previous unit was an aquabot which lasted 15 years. This unit does not seem to cover pool as well. Always seems to go to my main drain and get stuck there. Seems to like a certain pattern and sometimes requires a shut off/on as just stops. Clean up of filters requires sometime to insure totally clean as dirt gets imbedded between grids. Not sure of maintenance as not there yet. Probably would have purchased another aquabot but maintenance requires sending to an authorized dealer adding to cost. Hayward is serviced in many places locally.

So far it has been doing a good job. However, the 55' cord get tangled up. It's a chore getting it untangled. I haven't left it in the pool after it finishes cleaning to see if it will start again the following day without me having to put it back into the water and starting it up again. I was told to take it out of the pool if I'm doing a heavy shock treatment, so that is what I have been doing. I'm trying to clear up a heavy algae build-up.

I was ready to send it back the first week I had it...worked about every other time I tried to use it...I looked at the connecting cable and notice two gold inserts that lined up to the box...duh, how stupid was I, it has four tiny holes that line up with the connector...when I accidently lined them up it worked...the only reason I am posting this is to help other people who think this machine is a dud....I LOVE IT....turn it on and it cleans bottom and walls...I have not had to clean my pool since I purchased it...
Have had my Tiger Shark for about 8 years and ready for something new. I was never really completely satisfied with the way it cleaned my 18 x 32 inground pool. Goes over same area continuously, and skips other areas completely where dirt has accumulated. It worked better when new, perhaps it’s just worn out. Very, very heavy to lift out of pool, and the cord is so tangled, even though I turn handles everytime I put it in the pool, as recommended. On the plus side, the cartridges are very easy to clean, and setting it back up to clean is easy. Hayward needs to redesign the Tiger Shark with swivel cord and easy lift.
I had a TigerShark Robotic Cleaner bought many years ago. The one which I received recently W3RC9990CUB the quality is inferior comoared to the older one. It's heavier and the cable is thinner.
We received it in November and it only worked like our previous one for a month. Now it continually floats to the top when not running and it doesn't climb the walls like our old one. Troubleshooted the problem with Hayward and their suggestion did not work. Contacted Pool Zoom and was told they only won't exchange it after 30 days.
Very happy with this machine. Picked up sand and debris from the bottom of the pool. Very impressed thus far!
This is the second one I've owned and will ever own. Works great and saves me the time and hassle of manually vacuuming out my pool. It's worth every penny. I would and do recommend this product
I love my pool cleaner. It gets the job done. I wish it would have a longer cord since my pool is an L shaped pool. One other thing is that it gets stuck on the bottom drain while cleaning. Other than that I am satisfied with the product. I like the price too, especially with the rebate!
