Great bike for my kid. Just started to ride the trails, and this bike is perfect for him. The 1x7 Shimano drivetrain is great for beginners, and I just had to upgrade a few components that were rubbish. New bars, stem, and pedals. Bike is fun and fairly light.

I bought this bike for my son's 9th birthday and having purchased a few Walmart bikes for my kids in the past, this bike is light years away in quality. GT has a long history in mountain bikes and I'm still riding my '96 GT bike. I did a lot of research before buying this bike and you wont find a better bike for less than $500.

Awesome 24 mountain bike for my son. His brother has the larger 26 version. Few upgrades were added for his and my liking. Pedals, bars, and stem. Bike is fun for any little ripper.
