Grown Alchemist Balancing Toner (200ml)

I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think it would be bad, by any means. Historically, I haven’t gotten along with Grown Alchemist products. No major issues, the products that I have tried just weren’t for me. This toner is very calming on the skin. This campaign happened to come along when my skin was 10/10 mad. This was helpful and is a pleasant experience to use, as well. I can’t say that of all toners, even ones that I do like. I did want to try it and I really like this one, but I’m still not sure I would pay full price. I would purchase again if a sale were to come along.

I love how their skincare fuses science with effective, natural ingredients that get results all while being vegan and cruelty free. This toner is gentle yet ultra refreshing and it’s just what I need after cleansing to keep my skins barrier protected. I apply a few drops to my palms and use my fingers to press into skin. First, I'm excited to take this opportunity to try this company. I really like their approach to beauty, being a science nerd myself. This balancing toner contains rose, ginseng, and chamomile so when I opened it, it definitely has a botanical smell. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin refreshed and cool. I love using toner because it takes off more junk that your cleanser may leave behind. When I first opened the bottle, I saw some buildup on the lid, so I held up the bottle to the light and shook it. That dislodged chunks inside and now they swirl around. I don't think that's supposed to happen. Kind of gross. Overall, good product but a little pricey for chunky toner.

I was surprised when I tried this toner. Just like the cleanser, it had an earthy smell (almost like slate/wet clay scent) but when I put this on my skin I noticed a difference. It was not sticky to touch nor made my complexion tacky. I started using it as part of my night routine at first but found it had some mattifying qualities if used before your AM routine. Make sure to shake the bottle because there was some kind of residue on the initial label when I opened it. I don’t know if it was a one off in packaging or typical. I applied this with a cotton pad and one pad heavily soaked goes a long way. Between the cleanser tone, I’ll prefer to use this one again. Thanks for letting me try something new.

This product leaves a lot to be desired. You can easily use too much product on accident when pouring out of the bottle even if you are using a cotton round to the opening of the bottle. The product has the consistency of water so when pouring it all just will come out if you are not careful. It’s literally just a bottle with a spout about the size of a nickle in diameter. For the price, I expected this to balance my combo skin, maybe help with some redness and uneven skin, pores, etc. even just make my skin LOOK brighter or FEEL nicer. I noticed no changes whatsoever to my skin, after use or long term. It also takes a very long time to dry on your skin. It played well with my other products though. Can’t recommend on that alone though. Sorry.

A New Toner Fan !!!

I hated toners and never used them but after receiving this in my Ipsy bag, I am now a Grown alchemist balancing toner fan!!! I usually get my Ipsy bag use all the little samples, but this here toner made a huge impact on my skin and I noticed the difference almost immediately! My skin is less red, it’s firm, and applying my moisturizer helps it absorb better! I love this toner and will now add it on a daily!!!

Amazing company!

I saw that Ulta is offering a free Hydra Repair Day Cream when purchasing a Grown Alchemist product. So Ive looked everywhere and can't seem to find the size of the day cream which is frustrating. Usually it'll say deluxe or mini or show the ml's or oz's it contains. So I'm lead to believe it's the regular full size and if so that's amazing b/c that day cream is amazing and around $70 if I remember correctly and it's really worth every penny but I just can't afford that at times, like at this time. However, I would be willing to pay for this pricey toner if it's going to come with a full size cream. I'm just afraid this is to good to be true and will end up with a travel size. I feel like it just doesn't do anything

use it directly after cleanser and before moisturizer. The smell is very harsh, and I think it kind of irritates my eyes. It foams up and becomes sticky, which I think is so weird. I also feel like the next morning it just doesn't do anything. No improvement, but nothing is worse either, I guess. My skin doesn't feel refreshed, moisturized, better cleaned, brighter... I kind of wish I didn't buy it, because I don't think I'm going to finish it. Overall, not worth it. The smell is very strong, and I don't think it really does anything. I there there are much better options for your money out there.

My Ultimate Fave Toner

I have tried numerous amounts of toners and this is the only one which I have found really gets into my skin. I mean, not all skin types are going to react the same. I have an oily t-zone and am prone to acne along my jaw line, so this works wonders for me. Plus, after 2 years of wearing masks pretty much 80% of my every day, my skin dried out quite a bit from the nose down but my t-zone maintained it's oily presence. Using this toner (after I cleanse) certainly helped balance out my skin. After I cleanse with the La Mav Sweet Orange Balancing Cleanser I use this toner, and then either The Jojoba Company Ultimate Day Cream (if I do my face routine in the morning) or the Crop Nourishing Night Cream (if I do my face routine at night after work, which I don't think is ... MoreI have tried numerous amounts of toners and this is the only one which I have found really gets into my skin. My skin could be clear as can be, yet I still have red spots that seemed to never go away. I decided to focus on soothing and repairing skincare around the time I received this sample and I have never been so impressed with a skincare product from my Ipsy bag. Within a week of using this toner and the age-repair intensive moisturizer from Grown Alchemist, niacinamide moisturizers/drops, and sunscreen, my redness has gone away and looks a lot more healthy. I could tell out of all the products I was using this toner did the heavy lifting and I just had to come to buy the full-sized bottle.
