This is Android at its purest, as it is meant to be. The phone is understated yet good looking and feels very solid. The Android OS is bloat free and runs super smooth. You get the latest Snap Dragon 835 paired with 4GB of onboard RAM making this phone fast and responsive. It has a nice looking display and a very solid battery, I easily get a solid day and then some with heavy use. The camera has been given a lot of hype, and for good reason, it is terrific for a smartphone. With a processing core dedicated to the camera you'll get great images in any conditions. You also get the very clever 'squeeze' feature to call up Assistant; simply squeeze the phone's sides and Assistant pops right up, you can also silence calls and alarms this way, the feature is intuitive, helpful, and works great. You're also getting a phone with hardy dust and water resistance which is great for everyday use. It does not have a 3.5mm audio jack so if that is critical for your phone you'll want to look elsewhere. I've found Bluetooth headphones work perfectly on this device so I've been fine without the jack. The only feature I truly miss is wireless charging. Not having wireless charging built-in is my only critique of this phone. Anyone looking for a high-end Android phone should definitely check out the Pixels. This is Google's answer to the iPhone and really is hands down the best Android experience I have ever had.

First, the Pixel 2 is the only Android phone I know of that was released in 2017 that has a stock, bloatware free copy of Android 11 it's running on. As much as I like Motorola phones, you'll have to buy a much newer and often more costly model to have Android 11. Second, the camera on the Pixel 2 is better than most newer phones in its class, especially in low light. It was updated to use the Pixel 3's Night Sight feature, dramatically improving low light levels without a flash or a tripod. Third, the Type-C quick charging is outstanding! And, even if you don't have a quick charge power adapter, the phone will take advantage of more 2.4A output chargers as well. But please do NOT confuse the Pixel 2 with it's bigger brother, the Pixel 2 XL! The XL does not age well and can have a number of display "issues" (burn-in, smear, flashing, dead spots), primarily from idiots keeping these XL's in their pockets. The 2 XL also have a small number of problems not found on the standard Pixel 2. Now the bad stuff. No 3.5mm audio jack; requires Type-C adapter. Require professional/skilled battery replacement. This can be more than the price you paid for the phone. But if you're skilled or bold, IFIXIT has a complete kit for around $35 to include the needed tools and adhesives. Beware of cheap aftermarket batteries. Last, as of December 2020, Alphabet/Google no longer supports updates of this phone. Don't see this as a big problem as most Android made in 2019 are no longer supported either.

The one I purchased was listed as "Average" used condition, so I wasn't expecting much but I have been so happy with it so far. Even with some scratches, the phone looks great and works perfectly. Long battery, pretty much lasts a whole day. I'm upgrading from an old Iphone 5 so it's like night and day. Great camera and the phone is really lightweight. It's a good size to hold and fit in my back pocket, not too big like the XL which my brother has. I'm still getting used to a Google based phone but I do like how everything links together, it does get a little tricky when sharing pictures because of the google photos/drive, but it's not too bad. I didn't think I'd use the fingerprint unlock but it's so convenient I love it, I still have a code lock too so others can ... MoreThe one I purchased was listed as "Average" used condition, so I wasn't expecting much but I have been so happy with it so far. The phone looks cool too, I did get a slim snap on case for it because my brother dropped his XL and cracked the upper glass portion on the back which didn't affect the phone but looks bad. My only complaint is the targeted ads and other notifications and suggestions, I've found you can disable them for the most part so it's less annoying. I'd still recommend the phone and am glad I switched from my IPhone.

I got this phone almost 2 years ago. When I first got it it was good and fast for a few weeks. The battery already did not last the time they said. It lasted maybe 14 hours for me on just Snapchat Instagram and texting, very minor gameplay like solitaire. It crashed constantly doing simple tasks like websurfing or texting. The system ui constantly crashes. Everything doesn't respond. On top of that this phone constantly restarts itself unprompted. I get a million dropped calls, or I'll call and get no sound at all. I'll answer a call and get no sound then they text me why did I hang up or saying I need to answer. Now, nearing the end of my contract, the battery lasts around 3 hours on a full charge but it's very rare that it gets to a full charge so that's fun. I ... MoreI got this phone almost 2 years ago. Now, nearing the end of my contract, the battery lasts around 3 hours on a full charge but it's very rare that it gets to a full charge so that's fun. I had to buy a battery case to get it to last half a day while avoiding using it the whole time. The case was said to charge this phone twice. It barely makes it through the first charge. This case does charge the phone fast, but any charger, even the one that came with the phone, charges it slow as time moves when your shopping with your mom at a clothing store and you want to leave. Half the time it's plugged in it just does slower. I have to turn it off to charge it which is very pointlessly inconvenient when I need alarms in the morning... Oh and when I first got it the zoom on the camera didn't work for a month but that might have been a software thing that fixed with an update. Just had to add that in. It's an ok phone at first, was one of the better Android's when it first came out. But it goes down hill really really quickly it's definitely not worth it. Or maybe I got a defect in which case RUN ME MY NEW PHONE. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk
Upgraded from a first generation Motorola X (I don't buy phones often). My immediate thoughts were that the Pixel 2 is much taller and sturdier than what I was used to (though size is on par if not more compact than the current crop of phones). The battery life is on par with the Moto X, while the aluminum and glass casing look and feel more high-end. When it comes to picking up a Pixel from a completely flat surface, I do miss the curved back of the Moto X by comparison the flat Pixel 2 feels a bit like lifting a coin up from a table top, more effort than I'd like. Water resistance works fairly well, but I noticed condensation on the inside of the camera lens after submersion. This made the camera pretty much useless. The fog went away after leaving the sim card ... MoreUpgraded from a first generation Motorola X (I don't buy phones often). The fog went away after leaving the sim card tray open and letting the insides air out for a few days. My thoughts on the water resistance it's a cool-to-have when you need it, but don't count on it. Final thoughts: it's a top notch Android phone, It does what I need it to do, and In 2020, you get many of the benefits of a current flagship phone for a third of the price!
I have used an original Pixel for a few years and was very happy with it. I like stock Android without the bloat that Samsung and others pile on top of it. I also like the excellent antenna performance, something many overlook. I have obtained signal strength measurements from the Pixel and from several other phones (HTC, Samsung, OnePlus) under identical conditions and the Pixel was better than all, by a factor of 1000 in the case of HTC and OnePlus.I bought the Pixel 2 XL because AT&T no longer supports the original Pixel. It's plenty fast, display is good, battery life is better than the old Pixel and most important to me, the antenna performance is even slightly better than the old model. An Android 11 phone of this quality at this price is a terrific proposition. The only downside is that the phone will not receive security updates. If that matters to you and you are technically adept, a custom ROM such as Lineage is an option. I have used Lineage in the past and it's fine, though installing it is not for everyone. i am going to stick with the stock Android 11 unless I learn of a security vulnerability that the version I have does not address.
I LOVE my new phone! However, the battery on the phone I purchased is not great ....I charge my phone AT LEAST twice a day. I usually watch YouTube videos, check my email, and scroll the web an hour or two at a time. I wake up and remove the phone from the charger (charging and fully charged), the battery life is full, and within ten minutes of medium use I've lost ten percent battery life. I will continue using it and within an hour the battery is at 49% ...I only maintain a full charge when the phone is not in use for most of the day (even then it leeches life but not as quickly). Future buyers, BEWARE of the potential battery issue.
good cheap phone. the tint is not that noticeable. keep in mind it does not include a power brick. shipping was quick from the east coast. description is 100% accurate. The only noticeable damage is only cosmetic (cosmetic scratches/smidges that show use but no damage). You will want to clean the speaker and microphone since mine came dusty. It makes sense that its dusty because this phone was likely put to good use somewhere and then had been sitting on shelves for a while.
the phone looks to be in good shape but the screen has a massive burn in and the battery doesn't even last 5 minutes of charge. I had contacted the seller multiple times asking if it had a burn in or anything of the sourt and they said no it shouldnt. I sent them an email telling them about it but they have avoided talking to me for the past 2-3 days. For the price its fine but be sure you have money to do a screen replacement and battery repairs urself. I get to take mine to get fixed unless if i get my own parts to fix it. I'm really disappointed.
I love this phone. It is smaller than many - a good size for a jacket pocket. There is an understated, unflashy quality about it - but all its functions work very well. One unusual feature is that if you squeeze the edges, the google assistant appears. Voice quality and voice recognition are excellent. The strongest feature of this phone is its remarkable camera - again nothing flashy, just one lens, but all the pictures I have taken look wonderful, lovely colours and very clear details. The google pixels are renowned for their excellent cameras. Battery life is good enough - for me it lasts at least a day - and it can go into battery saving mode. Even though the phone was launched in 2017, it updated easily to Android 11.
