Giovanni Shampoo 50/50 Balanced (Normal/Dry Hair) 1000ml

I bought this because I have hard water and I was looking for something cheaper than what I've been using because it's pretty pricey. So, I've been checking out some shampoos that have the same type of ingredients in them. Although there are no sulfates in this shampoo, it still gives a nice lather and I was completely shocked by how soft my hair was afterwards. I also currently have dark blue hair and it does take some of the color out but I prefer that to using harsher methods to remove color from my hair. Bear in mind that I use direct dyes so they are made to wash away. I do believe this will be color safe for somebody with permanent hair color. I'm also ready to transition back to blonde again so this helps me get there without damaging my hair.

This is a great clarifying shampoo for those with dry hair and dry scalp! It's effective at removing buildup without stripping the hair or further drying the scalp. The quality is very good, the ingredients are very nice, the age of the product is longish, the composition is good, the packaging is useful, it has lots of benefits to the skin, it can make lots of improvements to the skin, it effect the skin in a good way, good with diet, knees hurt, if you have a deficiency use it, it tastes solid, can eat daily. does what it says it does. cute bottle. doesnt dry out my hair. sometimes whn you use certain shampoo (i.e. hotel shampoo) your hair feels stringy immediately after. but this does a good job. not quite as nice as say olaplex but definitely cleans my scalp and non irritating. for the money per oz of quality, id say its definitely a better deal than olaplex. like a good low end shampoo thatll last medium/long hair a couple months. (for ref my hair is fine and straight)

I love Giovanni's shampoos and conditioners

I have been using 50:50 Balanced shampoo & conditioner for the last 10 years, except for times when I tried out another one, or needed extra support against dandruff. I also like and occasionally use Giovanni's Smooth As Silk shampoo & conditioner (more moisturizing) and their Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner (against dandruff). Hard spring water is what we have for bathing right now and along with the 50:50 Balanced Conditioner and Frizz Be Gone Serum it's been helping with keeping my hair hydrated and relatively frizz free. Hard water can also cause dandruff to form, so off and on I'll switch to a bottle of Giovanni's Tea Tree Triple Treat shampoo & conditioner. I love the organic ingredients in Giovanni's products, not so much the other ingredients. They are not perfect, but have worked better for me than other brands I have tried! Good quality, scent is not overpowering. My scalp and hair are happy.

Its okay quality nothing spectacular

So Far So Good

I’m not a fan of squeaky hair, but the key to moisturized curls is a clean base. And this product definitely clarified my hair, there was no build up left on my hair or scalp. Though I suggest using this as your first shampoo, rinse, then follow up with a moisturizing shampoo (for my fellow curlies). I shampooed with this twice in one wash day and my hair was too squeaky for my liking. I bought this sample size to try it out before I committed to the full size bottle. And so far, it’s looking like I’ll be buying the full size. For reference: I have type 4, thick, low-porosity, natural hair.
