Warren Haynes has carved out an extraordinary legacy across rock, blues, and Americana music through his influential work with The Allman Brothers Band, as founding member of Gov't Mule, and through countless session and solo projects. This self-described “Gibson man” has built his reputation using various Gibson models throughout his career, with his treasured '61 ES-335 being particularly notable among his collection. The Warren Haynes Les Paul Standard represents a carefully crafted instrument that reflects Warren's specific playing preferences and tonal requirements. Built with a mahogany body featuring a plain maple cap, the guitar sports a striking 60s Cherry finish that pays homage to his beloved '61 ES-335. The mahogany neck incorporates a substantial 50s Vintage profile that mirrors the feel of Warren's favourite Les Pauls, while the rosewood fretboard features elegant acrylic trapezoid inlays across 22 medium jumbo frets. What sets this instrument apart is its innovative pickup configuration and onboard electronics. The guitar houses a pair of P-90 DC pickups that provide the classic P-90 sonic character without the typical hum issues, plus includes a 15 dB clean boost accessible via a mini toggle switch. Practical design elements include a quick-access battery compartment built into the rear control cover, with the guitar remaining fully functional even when the battery fails by simply switching the mini toggle to the off position. Complete with a protective hard-shell case, this Les Paul Standard successfully combines the authentic look and feel of a 50s-era instrument with contemporary features that meet the demands of today's players.
