Gerber Suspension NXT Multi Tool

You get what you pay for. After watching a few positive reviews, I decided why not try for a budget multitool?Beware incentivized reviews.I was initially intrigued about every tool being locked with exterioir access. The pliers are about the only useful thing here aside from the Phillips driver. Almost impossible to open most of the tools out of the box.Definitely needs some TLC but absolutely zero excuse to try and open one tool then get a good slice on the finger because 3 tools open and give you a nick. Immediately returning.

Best multi tool

I've owned about every multi-tool made and prefer the Gerber Suspension. It's size, hand fit, quality of knife blade, and selection of tools makes it very usable - I carry it every day, and this is probably my 6th one. My only complaint is that the plier jaws break fairly easily - or maybe I expect too much from it. It's good they no longer come with a sheath - the sheaths were junk!

For light duty it’s fine

For light duty it’s fine probably. If you have climbers hands you’ll just crush it like a Leatherman. I’d really think about any of the Gerber with the pliers that slide straight out. Those are the best multitools made.This tool has no saw. Crushed mine the first time I used the pliers. Both pins bent so opening it is weird. The body also bent and the scissors don’t work after that. All the tools feel loose, they don’t reliably lock.All that said, if you don’t crush it it’s probably fine. Those with climbers hands might want a stronger tool.

Gerber 15 Piece Multitool

My Father gave me my first Gerber knife when I was 16 years old and I have bought Gerber knives and multitools ever since. I have too say though Gerber did not hit a home run with this new tool. I have The Suspension Multitool and when I lost it last week I went directly tot the store to buy another, but it has been replaced with 15 Piece Multitool. The tool is lighter, but also feels cheaper too. I like the file but lost the serrated blade and saw blade too? The Lanyard attachment point used to be stainless steel now is plastic. Pouch that has a belt loop?, no now it looses the pouch and comes with a belt/pocket clip. Can't wait to see how long this one stays where it is supposed to. Great Quality

Gerber Suspension NXT Hunting MultiTool is high quality product with all in one functionality. It has pliers, screw driver, knife, scale, knife etc. It comes with a great looking pocket or belt carrier which looks great and is also very functional when outdoors. This is a high quality product with compact size. The trouble I had was to figure out how to switch from one tool to another and how to open and close the tool. Its not very easy to figure out. But once I figured it out it is a very productive tool with so many features all built in one. Also switching from one function to another is not so smooth its actually kind of clunky and takes a lot of effort. Great value and viable replacement for the Leatherman multi tool

On an active farm there are many uses for the Gerber multi-tool. It is a useful device that features tools I use every day, like the knife, needle nose pliers, wire cutter and stripper, Phillips head screw driver, and blade. The serrated knife worked well to repair a garden hose and replace the hardware. I used the wire cutter and pliers to reattach a wire that came off a grape arbor. I carry it with me all the time; the chances that I will need it for something is near 100%. I like the clip for my belt instead of a case. I like its light weight. I am not overly impressed with the scissors. Will they cut through a seat belt if needed?

Love It. Got my first one, looks the same, 3 years ago and use it often, work only. Bought two more when they were special at $60, one for my daughter and her friend, who's a boy....for their birthdays this month. The quality is excellent, strength wise and design. It is lighter than other more expensive brands but I have no complaints about quality or the options on it. I have similar one that have been using up til this purchase with the slide out pliers, still a great bit of kit, 15 years old, but less options and older design. Still using it at home. Cheers

Lightweight, solid construction with lots of functionality.

I am a multi-tool enthusiast (nut) and carry them often. It has a solid feel, is lightweight and seems to have a sturdy construction. I like that the tools can be accessed without having to open the tool with exception of the pliers and wire cutter functions. The tools also lock into place when opened and the lock is easy to release the tool to close, making for a safer experience. I love that these come with scissors that actually work! Many tools do not have such a useful tool. The pocket clip is a great way to carry this multi-tool, it's a little on the large size for a "pocket" tool, but with 15 tools it's still pretty slim. This is a reasonably priced Gerber product that should last and without the higher cost I had getting other "quality" multi-tools.

Nice multi-tool

I am giving my review of the Gerber Suspension NXT Hunting Multi-Tool. Great little multi-purpose tool. I really like these multi-purpose tools. I used to have a Leatherman multi-tool, but it really hurt when I would lose this very costly tool. Now I have the Gerber Suspension NXT Hunting Multi-Tool and it still hurts when I lose this tool, but not as much as the more costly Leatherman. Nothing stick out to stick into your hand while you are working with the tool. I would recommend that your purchase the Gerber Suspension NXT Hunting Multi-Tool, because it will go everything you need it to do.
