I had tried several other flame tamers in the hope of achieving a quality cook and sear when BBQing with plenty of dissapointment. Dont try the enamel flame tammers go straight to these, much better. They don't come with the briquettes and these need to be purchased seperatley.For use i give these 5-10mins on high heat and then back off to my cooking temp/method dependant on the protein I'm cooking.

Be aware this does not include the briquettes. It is just the holder. Despite the image on the front, clearly displaying the briquettes, the fine print notes it's only the tinny holder.When I pulled it out of the packet two screws and one nut fell out. It was hard to get one screw/nut set back together, but I'm now missing one nut.I'd say this product is worth about half the listed price.
