A great smart watch for those who don't like smart watches very much.

This is a smart watch for people who prefer traditional watches and aren't fond of the new wave of 'smart watches' going round that look like a mini-phone/tablet on your wrist. I really like this watch, I've had other smart watches and this one is my favourite. I've listed out some pro's and con's below. Pros: Size - it's quite small and discrete and looks good on my wrists. Most other smart watches can look too large on my petite wrists (lol). Build - It's got a really good build quality. Along with the size, it's light and very well made. Traditional look - It looks like a traditional watch, but one that tracks your health stats, fitness/workout routines and sleep (pretty well I found too) etc. Simple - It's not over-complicated like all other smart watches I've ... MoreThis is a smart watch for people who prefer traditional watches and aren't fond of the new wave of 'smart watches' going round that look like a mini-phone/tablet on your wrist. This one isn't trying to be a mini-computer, it functions as a watch but has the bonus of 'smart features' Excellent fitness tracker - It's a Garmin and they are very good at making fitness trackers, this watch is no exception. It's accurate and the Garmin Connect app is very detailed, but easy to use. Cons: Usability - the watch has no buttons, instead you use a series of taps and swipes to navigate through the widgets and menus etc. For example, you have to double tap the screen to begin an activity, but I find that it doesn't always register the double tap and I've had to tap it several more times to begin. This can get quite annoying. Colour scheme - I chose the Black model which has a black face with black hands and black numbers around the dial which make it quite hard to glance at for the time. The hands do have little white painted tips which definitely help, but it could do with hands that stand out a bit more. Battery life - it isn't 5 days as advertised, I generally get about 3 days tops out of it but that's with a good amount of use throughout the days and I keep it on at night to track my sleep etc. 3 days isn't great but still better than most other watches like this, but still room for improvement. Overall, a great watch and I would recommend this to anyone seeking a smart watch that still looks and functions like a traditional watch. It's great a tracking your health and fitness and it looks great on my wrist.

An ideal watch for everyday use, but also reliable for tracking daily activity.

Beautiful watch but cannot keep time

The watch is very stylish and has good functions, including being able to read messages and notifications. However, the analogue component of the watch cannot keep time properly. The hands are never in the correct position and for some reason the analogue time is always about 15 mins out, although the digital time is correct. Having looked in to it, this is apparently a known fault with this watch. Garmin has recommended a factory reset, which will hopefully work otherwise we will have to request a new watch.

Great design but unreliable features
8 May 2021

I upgraded from the slightly more basic Vivomove HR and this is sadly not worth the money. I was after a nice looking timepiece that would also allow me to track my fitness and keep track of smartphone notifications. I *really* like the look of this watch, in particular the analogue face (and have received many compliments on my watch) however functionality is where it falls down for me. Here are the top 3 shortfalls for me:1. The watch face notifications are hard to see outdoors on the rose gold face. If it is sunny, you have to be able to shade it effectively to read the screen. This is not easy to do while cycling!2. The Bluetooth range is short, so it continuously drops out (even at home) and doesn't reliably reconnect (to my iPhone) when it gets back in ... MoreI upgraded from the slightly more basic Vivomove HR and this is sadly not worth the money. I regularly have to manually reconnect it in settings on my phone once I notice I haven't had any watch activity for some time (and realise it is because it is not connected). There is a setting where you can get a notification when your watch drops in/out of range from your phone, however I had to disable this as it was so annoying getting notifications constantly when moving about my house.3. GPS (needs to pair with phone for this as this is not inbuilt) is not reliable either - the signal regularly drops out or is lost with no sign of this until you finish your run/cycle to find that you have not been tracking as anticipated. So annoying!

Great little watch! Looks great and I have used it since June!
23 November 2021

I decided to get rid of the ugly iWatch and get something that looks better and simpler to use as I wanted a much longer battery life. I can not fault this watch at all! I actually love it! I usually have my phone with me so I did not really need the iWatch. This does all the fitness tracking and health monitoring I need and tells me a quick overview. It is also very easy to read the time and date and quite versatile. It doesn't do all the pay options using the iWatch does but I just use my phone for contactless payment instead! Not really a biggy!! I also love that it caters for small wrists and big wrists. I am quite tiny and it still can go smaller. My mum has larger wrists and there was still ample room to expand. Overall really pleased.

Lovely, stylish and functional
27 May 2022

This is really a great watch - stylish, comfortable and functional. I was worried it would look too big as my wrists are quite small but while it is big, it looks nice and modern. I've given 4 stars because the band is lovely but marks very easily especially with every day wear. It's not frayed but it doesn't seem very durable. The other thing is it can be a little glitch at times and doesn't let you swipe -but this is easily fixed by plugging into the charger for a few seconds to restart. This has only happened two times in the last month of wearing daily. Overall a great product and I'm very happy with this purchase.

It requires getting used to (especially where to press).Minimal in-watch features:This is a hybrid watch so you'll have to understand you have to live without certain features that you normally expect from a smartwatch. Hybrid watches are specifically for people who loves the analog watch face but still want some key smart features.Expensive!:Yes it is the best hybrid watch yet imho but if you're looking for more features, better just buy a smartwatch. This watch was designed to be worn as a classic timepiece-slash-fitness tracker. If that's your mojo, definitely worth considering.

Nice looking watch with good battery

Works well. I like having a smart watch that can still tell the time when it is out of battery! Sometimes can be a little problematic double tapping or holding your wrist up to activate the display, and it would be nice if it stopped alerting so frequently when it needs charging (using more battery...). Screen is hard to read outside in sunlight without shielding with your hand, but is as visible as expected, hasn't caused any issues. I really like how the hands are used as part of the gauges for the various indicators (steps, floors, battery etc), it's very quick and responsive. The only area it doesn't work quite so well is with the "stop and breathe" where the hands are used to indicate breathing in and out. Simplicity in form and function
18 February 2023

The VivoStyle does everything it says on the tin. A great timepiece that fashionably goes with anything, and keeps accurate time to boot. Smartwatch features are thankfully uncomplicated (Garmin connect app required), minimalist and unobtrusive. Main downside is battery life as I find myself needing to charge it every two days instead of five as stated in manuals. Would recommend for those who want a device that helps you keep on top of the basics of personal wellness.
