As someone with a milk allergy, I thought this would be a nice treat, until I realised it containers sweetener, so I can't have it. Not only do sweeteners taste really bad (who wants hot chocolate with a bitter aftertaste?!) but they are notoriously bad for people with allergies and food sensitivities. They make my stomach really unwell and for many others too. It's not like anyone drinks hot chocolate as a health drink, so what's wrong with being full-sugar, to have in moderation? Such a shame.

My daughter absolutely loves this hot chocolate though I prefer a less sweet, more chocolate-y option. It mixes well & makes a nice foam. Great to have an accessible dairy free option. Very convenient that you just add water. Will definitely be buying more

This is watery & not very chocolatey - not at all ‘silky’. Worst of all it has a nasty synthetic aftertaste. I made some and threw it down the drain. Swiftly followed by the contents of the jar into the bin. The only positive was that at least l managed to recycle the jar!
It's perfect for on the go. No need to add any sugar because it is already sweet. It's not too chocolaty because I don't like dark or white chocolate so it's the perfect in-between. I repurchased. Love having it morning or nighttime when you want a hot drink to end the day.

As it is rich and even I'd say creamy, despite obviously having no milk products in it.My dad, who is not a vegan, tried some before I had had any, and he was asking if it was vegan, as he said it tastes absolutely amazing and even better than any of the non vegan hot chocolates he has ever had. He then made me try a sip and I then had to have some too. I now have to make sure I have this in for him for when he comes over. And for me as a treat now and again. The options one. Please don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with the taste of this one. It is nice. Just not as nice as the options, and you do not get as many cups out of the jar as you do the 200g options one. Though with the £1.50 difference in price between the hot chocolates it may even out. I do not know. I can't do the math as i am not mathematically minded. I have not been able to find the vegan options here at asda, at least not online, and being disabled and housebound I cant get to a store, so i hope they start to stock it at some point soon. The two less stars are for price and quantity, as I feel that vegan products are always more expensive than non vegan products and they are packaged in smaller quantities. I do not see any reason for this. And it means it puts people off being able to buy them and it means having to buy more packaging etc because of having to buy the products more often because they are in smaller quantities and do not have larger quantities available. Unlike the non vegan products. I feel this is something that needs to be fixed. Not just with galaxy. It seems to be across most if not all vegan products I have come across.
Okay, I'm a new vegan and I definitely preferred the hot chocolate pods for my Dolce Gusto so this does feel like a downgrade. Please Galaxy, make vegan hot chocolate pods for Dolce Gusto! - This vegan hot chocolate powder is quite nice though, nice and chocolaty. I don't think I'd be able to tell it's vegan if I was given this without seeing the packaging. I'll buy again
Im really happy with this product. There is no difference in taste and texture from a non vegan hot chocolate. To make it creamy I use half oat milk, and half water. I also find two heaped teaspoons are enough. A staple now in my winter shop!
Obviously its great that there is a vegan option out there, but the original is definitely better. Surprised at the reviews saying they couldnt tell the difference, I 100% could. This one tastes bitter and watery, completely lacks the creaminess and smoothness of the original.
