I own probably 15 G-Shock watches. I love them!! Stylish, colorful, rugged. I love this one as well. I am wearing it right now. The colors are very modern, very cool. However, reading it takes some getting used to. My initial impression upon opening the container was disappointment because the face is much darker than most images indicate. As a result, reading it becomes a learning process. I have mastered this, and you probably will too, but it took some doing. Reading it in the dark with the light feature on is fine. It is reading it inside during the day in, say, an unlighted or dimly-lighted room is where the challenge begins. Everyone should have at least one G-SHOCK watch just because. This is a good tough watch. The hands automatically sync with the digital time. Thats big. There is no lume on hands or markers but its pretty legible. The night light is fair at best. The band is satisfactory. This a tough working watch for everyday wear that can take some severe knocking around without worry, but nighttime legibility is not its strong suit. That said, its a great watch for the $ and its a great looking watch and I like wearing it.

Got this as a birthday gift. Super cool watch. The band is very comfortable and the case sits nicely on top of the wrist. The buttons are easily accessed but well protected. Set up was very easy and took less than two minutes. The watch light is definitely less than perfect. It whitewashes the LCD display making only the hands legible in the dark. The major issue: The reverse LCD. It is incredibly hard to read for me in any lighting conditions. There was no way I could glance at the watch and tell you the time relying on the LCD. This negates the information displayed there. Cant read the date, day, timer, stopwatch. Great watch, terrible LCD.
Excellent watch! The night light is kind of bad. But the hands are still readable in the dark. Also, the digital screen is hard to see and impossible in the dark. But outside of that, the watch is nice, orange color unique, feels rugged but still very light. And with a 7 year battery life, one cant complain much. Set up is tricky, but once its done, you dont have to touch it much again. There are tutorials online if you search for the model number.
Ordered this watch after seeing Casio’s destruction tests video. I wouldn’t want to do the same to my titanium MR-G or carbon fibre, analogue Frogman. So for my work in the construction industry this watch is ideal. Easier to quickly check the time at a glance compared to my fully digital square G-Shock. The 7 year battery life overcame my reluctance to buy battery powered watches.
Excellent service from FCW. I’m a big fan of Casio G-Shock models and have been collecting them for many years. This heavy duty model is an attractive looking addition to their range and, for a large watch, very comfortable to wear. However, Casio have spoilt this watch, in my opinion, by doing something weird with the positive digital display at six-o-clock and making it pretty much unreadable in the majority of lighting conditions and wrist positions! Looking at other reviews for this particular model other people have commented adversely on the digital display. Having two strap options is a nice touch though.
I'm a big fan of G-Shock watches. I find them comfortable to wear and easy to read and use. I always take one on holiday or wear one to the gym, I just find them robust and practical for everyday wear and use. This new skeleton series that I purchased is quickly becoming my favourite, not because it's the newest, I just like the smokey design of the watch strap and double prong buckle in particular.
The watch looks great and is visually appealing. Of course it is tough being a G-Shock. My only compliant with the watch is that the bands are a little too stiff, but it will conform with time. My general complaint with all modern G-Shocks is that the hands are a little hard to actually read.
