The watch looks great, but it sure isn’t made for elderly people. You can’t see how to set it, there for i turned to my 22 yr. old daughter and she tried setting it, even though with u tube it still wasn’t clear on how to set it. Have you ever noticed when the directions come from China or Japan, or some other country, there directions are 45 pages and for the United States it might be 4 pages. Is it so hard to print each country’s language and put it in the box. Come on man. It would be a little problem at first but I know there’s other people in the US that would agree with me. You have to turn it up side down or go to the back and try to read there tiny words with a magnifying glass. STAT THAT.

I think I've had this watch for around 2 weeks. So far I've got it covered in cornice cement while doing rennos, cut up two massive fallen gum trees for firewood wearing it, two deer hunting trips in the hills, including lots of falls and bumps to the watch, building and populating 6 huge garden beds, river swimming, and servicing my ute.It hasn't skipped a beat. The watch is accurate, but the digital display is garbage. It would be perfect if it was just the dial with time and date. All in all a great purchase for the price.

Shake it off fellas, and buy a bright Micky Mouse watch if you want an easy to read one. This is for the person that is used to difficult situations; and in the case of military ops, being difficult to read could (and probably has before) save lives. Army retired

Not happy at all- sent me an empty g-shock tin!!!!
22 February 2024

I got home from work, happy another new g-shock. Opened cardboard box pulled out tin, popped too off to find the plastic wrapper that comes on the watch with no watch wrapped on foam!! Nothing but packing material inside and the manual, registration card and part of foam outside the tin! Seriously an empty tin. Thanks for snatching the little joy of a new g-shock by sending empty tin. So I have to return the empty tin I guess to the store and get a refund? How about sending the watch I wanted that was marked down to $58 from $100 retail? So now I have empty tin, no watch and I can go to store and try to explain I received an empty tin? I’m not happy at all.

It is a very nice watch with everything I want in a watch. The only problem is that when the battery runs out you cant get it replaced from the place you bought it. Unfortunately you have to go to the cost of it being sent interstate to Head Office to get a new battery which will put me off from purchasing another after tis one. surely there must be a better way or why can't technicians in SA or wherever be trained to replace them or is Casio just looking to make more money by having them sent to H.O. to change the battery

[Rewarded Review] A nice watch for the outdoors!
9 December 2021

If you are looking to find a watch for outdoor or active use, this one is great! The material design is very durable and waterproof and works well for hiking, sports, or camping, and the clasps are very secure to keep the watch from falling off. Likewise, the screen is fingerprint resistant and doesn’t show smudges or scuffs, and the included tin case is great to protect it during transport. The illumination setting makes it also accessible for night-time use, but I wish the actual watch screen would light up instead of just shining light on the physical clock hands. The watch already comes set up for most functions, but I would definitely recommend reading the instruction manual when setting the time! The watch already comes set up for most functions, but I would definitely recommend reading the instruction manual when setting the time! The watch cycles between multiple time zones, which could be helpful with travel, but it made things a little more difficult during initial setup. And I appreciate that while there is no physical second hand, there is still an electronic second counter for easy timekeeping. As for the size of the watch itself, the watch face looks very large for smaller wrists like mine, but the watch band is still one-size-fits-all. Altogether, this watch is great for active use, and the included functions are perfect for all of your timekeeping needs!

[Rewarded Review] Big but light and comfy

This G-Shock watch is not for everyone. It does not have a fancy touch screen or health-tracking capabilities. It is just a rugged watch for sports and outdoor enthusiasts. This watch is masculinely big but is light and comfortable to wear. The watch is huge because of its extra-large water-proof and shock-proof casing. It is one of the larger models in the G-Shock family and is one of the few to feature an all-plastic band and buckle. I personally don't mind the plastic buckle but long-time G-Shock loyalists may prefer metal. The watch is unique in that it has a combination of analog hands and digital displays. The reverse LCD reads fine in bright light but is very hard to see in low light. There is no backlit and the dim LED light is just bright enough to see ... MoreThis G-Shock watch is not for everyone. There is no backlit and the dim LED light is just bright enough to see the analog hands in the dark. There are 4 buttons on the case used to set up the watch's many features such as date/time, world time, alarms, hourly time signal, stopwatch, and countdown timer. There will be a learning curve but there are videos on the Internet to help with what buttons to press if the manual does not make sense.I wear this watch when I play sports (basketball, sand volleyball, etc.) or when I am near the water (pool, beach, boat, fishing) because it is tough and it is reasonably priced so I don't have to think or worry about it.

This watch is massive! It's useful for many things, has many features that I can use but so much is built into it that I doubt I will ever fully understand. The instruction manual is very thick and can be a little bit confusing. Not everything is covered in the print version but the online version is far more helpful and makes more sense. The automatic settings are very useful but I would like to be able to set the time manually because you can't always find the instructions in the manual. There are some things I don't like about this watch. For one, the light isn't the best and can make viewing the time very difficult. The watch can be painful on your wrist, especially if you have that one bone that sticks out. It can also be very difficult to change daylight savings time from on to off and you have to refer to the manual in order to do so.More to love than not. Really cool case and awesome colors and features. Casio has always been a reliable brand and it's good to see this particular model making a comeback in both civilian and military applications.Excellent watch and more useful than I will probably ever realize.

[Rewarded Review] Impressive watch for the price
1 December 2021

I got this for a young man who has just completed basic training in the Air Force. The watch was securely double-boxed for shipping. Packaged in a nice metal box, protected with foam. Seems pretty rugged. Lighter than it looks. Don’t think that wrist fatigue will be a problem. Really easy initial setup; just choose a city in your time zone, and it ‘magically’ sets the hands to the proper time. Can set the digital part to display the time in 12 or 24 hour mode, or have it display the date. The stopwatch function is very intuitive. There are many features and functions that I didn’t take time to learn, but there is a manual included, and there are several articles and videos online. Has a little LED light which can be activated by pressing a button at the bottom of the watch. It gives enough light to read the hands, but it would have been nice if the LED display lit up, too. Hands do not have illumination glow-in-dark coating, but I assume that’s on purpose in case you wanna go sneaking around in stealth mode for some reason. Listed as ‘water resistant’, but 20 BAR is pretty stout. Pretty much waterproof for normal activities like riding a waverunner or swimming. One year warranty, which seems incredibly short for a watch that is marketed as being super rugged.I REALLY wish that this had a better light, or glow-coated hands. Almost impossible to see in a dark setting... and I don't mean pitch black. I'm talking a dimly lit restaurant or outside in a city/suburb setting after sundown.
