Flexi Storage Clever Cube 2 x 3 White Compact Storage Unit

I bought 3 of these to use as bookshelves, was looking at the more expensive model but thought they were too deep.Assembly went well, takes about 20 to 30 minutes.Do yourself a favour and pick up some PVA wood glue and even some 6mm dowel, if you want to improve overall stability.Quality is pretty good, considering the low price. The pieces for together easy and it comes with all screws and hex key.Pieces are much thinner than the more expensive model but if you are on a budget and/or don't need the larger unit, this will suffice.Overall, pretty happy with the shelves.

I brought this to make an island for our small kitchen it worked perfectly. What did do to add more strengthen is buy wood glue that went well with the laminated timber. This made it extra sturdy because it was a kitchen island and need to hold extra weight for the tabletop to go on. I also brought a laminated tabletop and screwed/wood glue to attach it. Lastly added the feet with screws to give it height and it has almost been a year since we have built this and going really well. We have had christmas dinners/parties around it and such a great idea for creative kitchen spaces.

I bought two of these units last week (2nd week January 2022). I installed them in two separate rooms, both rooms developed a strange and dreadful chemical smell. I removed both units and placed them under our carport. Overnight the smell in the rooms dissipated. I went to the carport and immediately smelt the same dreadful smell as soon as I entered the carport. The units were at the back of the carport! I thought that the smell would dissipate over a few days but no, they stink just as bad. If you don't want to stink your house out with chemicals then don't buy the Flexi Storage Clever Cube. I will be putting these units out for garbage collection and I have wasted my money. Don't waste yours.
