I was eager to receive this product because I have various areas outside/inside the home I want to seal. I've never used a product l like this so I decided to use it as a test. The spray can application at first seemed like a better idea, but after seeing it in action, I was disappointed. The spray zone was wider than I anticipated which lead to an overspray onto areas I didn't want covered. The consistency was about what I imagined because it's basically liquid rubber that ends up a chunky spray that kind of smooths after drying. The color was exactly as described and the product does seal and prevent water from penetrating after fully drying. I believe it took longer to dry because it's winter weather right now. I believe it took longer to dry because it's winter weather right now. I feel applying this product during a better season would have better results overall. The worst thing about this product is the odor. I read the instructions and paid attention to where I was spraying making sure to have good ventilation, but even though I used it outdoors, I could still smell it coming into the home. It's has a very strong odor and doesn't fade as quick as I would have l liked. It almost reminded me of the smell of gasoline. The clean up was more difficult than I had hoped. I tried scrubbing it off areas of my hands that got covered from scrubbing the areas of the house that the overspray came into contact with. I had to use a heavy duty hand scrub just to remove to small spots on my hand and still have find something to remove it from the areas of my home I didn't want sprayed.Overall it's a good product that does what it is supposed to do, but there are certainly drawbacks and a bit of a learning curve. Better weather and more personal trial and error could have made this experience excellent.

I've used Flex Seal for a few projects around my home. The current project is a mailbox post that is buried 2 feet into the ground. I sprayed the bottom of the post from the base, up to the 30-inch mark. Application is easy and straightforward. The finished protection is smooth, nice looking, and covers like a glove.Another project was a home-grown, 20-foot flagpole, harvested from my heavily forested property. It's been in the ground for a few years now and is solid and stable.

After the latest Central MI storms, a small, hard to pinpoint, stubborn attic leak developed near the faux chimney vent. 1/2 dozen contractors wanted $$$ JUST to look at it, insurance said it was 'owners' maintenance', roofers would recommend chimney experts, chimney experts thought twice about getting on a 2nd story...only 1 actually came out and couldn't find the problem. So, no option but to buy a safety harness and with absolutely no knowledge of anything 'roof', diy it. After a couple of sunny days inspecting and carefully spraying FlexSeal under the suspected culprit shingles and, voilá, leak is gone! It just works better than the 'pro$$$'.

I used this product to seal a leak that had developed around the window gasket of my 18 year old pick up truck's sliding cab window. This product performed exactly as advertised. I highly recommend Flex Seal products. My local Ace Hardware store made it extremely easy to order, pickup and complete this repair. I prefer purchasing anything that I may need for all of my home/auto repairs from Ace Hardware rather than any of the Big Box stores!! Thanks Ace Hardware!
Don’t believe everything you see on tv. I have a tiny pinhole crack in a plastic pipe. I’ve sprayed this multiple times this far, allowing it time to cure each time. But when I turn the water back on, water sprays through. This stuff doesn’t work, at least not in situations like the tv commercials lead you to believe.I’ve even sprayed, let it cure, applied the flex seal tape, and even with the “double protection, water sprays through. Total waste of money for both.
I have seen this on the market and have wanted to try it since I seen what all projects you can use this spray seal for. I am easily a fan since the first time I used this, which was on my front porch with a small leak I was having near the top of the screen door. The rubber piece was missing from the screen door which was causing water to flow right through and get the floor all wet below. I took the spray and looked at the instructions which were easy to follow and I sprayed it onto the door surface and the cracked rubber area. I thought it would be messy to apply, but it is an absolute breeze when it comes to the spraying and application process. It goes on evenly and consistently and covers the area really well with no patchiness which is the best part. I thought it would be messy to apply, but it is an absolute breeze when it comes to the spraying and application process. It goes on evenly and consistently and covers the area really well with no patchiness which is the best part. It creates an even tight seal which is great, because now my door is no longer leaking since this has fixed the leaking issue I was having. I also used this around my sheds windows as parts were starting to become dry and break away, and this filled the cracks and sealed up the exposed areas. This spray works quickly and really provides a great seal, which I have used other brands and have not got the same results. I am a very happy user of this spray and keep it on hand for all projects around the house that need a seal, or holes that need to be filled. This stuff is waterproof and has held up very well against the rain and the snow and I anticipate it to continue working just as well. I recommend this to anyone who needs a handy spray to help fix every day household issues and more.
This is a guarantee to stop leaks especially areas that are hard to get too. I used this in combination with the flex tape on my expensive tonnage cover on my truck which was supposed to be leak proof. After multiple leaks and doing research from other owners that have the same cover and experience the same problems. I decided to try Flex seal and so far it’s doing the job even with the constant 105-110 degree heat index in South Texas!
No joke - for almost 20 years the pipe under my laundry tub leaked, not a drip or two it WAS a major leak every time I did the laundry or just turned the water on. The water ran into straight into the sump pump below so I just let it go until recently. I had stepped on the tanks (sump pump) lid and it had rusted away. I saw the Flex Seal at Sam’s Club and thought I would give it a go. I sprayed it around the drain pipe, waited 24 hours and gave it another coat. IT WORKED LIKE MAGIC! No more leaks. Now if I only would've done this years ago I probably would not have to replace the lid to my sump pump!
1. Spray nozzle needs re-design so as not to get product on gloved finger during spraying( even with nitrile gloves on, your gloved finger begins to stick to small white nozzle & pulls nozzle away from can so you can’t spray anymore until you reinsert nozzle)…( tricky, sticky task to say the least ).2. Variable spray patterns needs to be available ( offer 2 or 3 spray nozzles for wide, medium, or narrow spay patterns )…( so as not to over-spray creating bigger mess & wasting product … it’s too expensive to waste! )Some jobs may be better suited with old fashioned bucket of tar and flat spreading stick.
