I have a really nice watch that I don't want to stop using, but there is a surprising lack of clip-on pedometers available in today's market. My Fitbit One finally bit the dust (RIP). I hadn't used my Charge 2 in the past few years, because I didn't want to be double-wristing my watch-like devices. So I settled on this device because I figured I'd could flip it around and have it appear as a bracelet next to my watch, but also it can be converted to a clip on. I do really like it overall, but I was amazed to learn how little I can change about it. I don't care about the meditation or some of the other built-in features, but I can't remove them. (Which feels like a huge step back compared to their older devices). I do really like it overall, but I was amazed to learn how little I can change about it. I don't care about the meditation or some of the other built-in features, but I can't remove them. (Which feels like a huge step back compared to their older devices). With such a small little screen, it's really frustrating to have to keep them to swipe through in order to get to a feature I want. You're also locked in to a clock face, and basically can only choose one metric (steps, heart rate, etc.) to see at a glance at a time. The clock faces are kind of ugly and blockish, and then you have to scroll down to check some of the other metrics. And there's no changing it. I already have a watch - I don't care about the time. But I can't forego the clock for the metrics I actually care about. But overall I think it's the best option for me if I want a pedometer that looks like jewelry, and at a reasonable price. I have a big wrist and most bracelets are too small, so I was also worried whether the links would work for me. But the different link sizes provide a lot of flexibility in the size that it can be made to accomodate.

It was wonderful until it stopped working. I had this product for about a year and a half before it stopped working, and my daughter had one for several months. We've narrowed the breaking down to using alarms. Mine worked perfectly though daily wear, swimming, exercising, etc. until I set a daily alarm to replace one on my phone. Suddenly I started having battery issues. At first it would simply use a lot of battery each day and I realized the timing so I turned off the alarm, but the damage was done. It started dying anytime I met my step goal because it vibrated. It would get half way though the vibration notification and go dead. But when I plugged it in, it still showed high battery life, it just wouldn't wake the screen or count steps or anything until I ... MoreIt was wonderful until it stopped working. My daughter used her Fitbit for alarms from the very beginning. She didn't have any battery issues, but she was missing alarms. We set several test alarms and none of them went off. We came to the conclusion that you just can't use this Fitbit with alarms because it ruins the motor and then the Fitbit altogether.

No matter how high the battery is when it charges, there's always a risk of it dying when I charge it. The screen goes black and it is completely unresponsive. I try resetting it with the charging cable, plugging it into different USB ports, and even using different cables. While it eventually comes back to life, how long it takes and what finally gets it back is completely random.I am currently awaiting my third replacement Luxe, but only because that was best option from Fitbit. They also offered me a discounted rate on the Charge 5 (which has more negative reviews for similar reasons) and the Versa 2 (which I traded in to get the Luxe- not to mention they're preordering the Versa 4, so at a minimum, I'd want the Versa 3). While I'm making do with what I have, I'm looking at leaving the Fitbit ecosystem entirely due to my experience with this product.
