The unit is only 2 months old but now just randomly goes off with the "low battery" beep every minute. Changed the battery to no affect. Don't bother buying this junk.

Battery hard to fit. Alarm goes off randomly.Have tried new batteries and stuck with it for 12 months. Now wishing I had not wasted money on 5 units!

Once the battery has been connected to it's leads there is then a 20 minute wrestle to get it to fit back into it's compartment. Ended up shaving some plastic off the battery compartment so I could squeeze the battery back in.
Randomly go off middle of the night or day for no reason at all. Removed batteries and held down button to wipe all power then put in new batteries. Going off randomly again that you want to smash the things. Do not buy this cheap brand !!!
How can Bunnings still sell this product?Scared the bjeebies out of me in the night on 2 occasions when there was no valid reason for it to go off
False alarm at 3am. Replaced unit (by coincidence) with the same model. New unit false alarmed 2 months later. No smoke, steam, smell or anything that would suggest a reason for it to go off. Totally useless and annoying - buy something else.
This smoke alarm has gone off randomly 2 times in a month so far in the middle of the night at around 2am. This is really annoying and disturbs our sleep. The test button does not hush the alarm, so you have to pull out the battery to make it stop.
I purchased two of these alarms in March 2021. Ten months later, both units have started producing false alarms at random times. The only way to silence the alarms is to remove the battery. Completely fresh batteries do not solve the problem - they still falsely activate. This is extremely dangerous as we currently have no smoke alarms until we're able to buy new ones. This product should be recalled because it poses a serious and immediate danger to users.
It worked fine for me till I had to replace the battery. Now it won't stop chirping. I have tried a couple of brand new batteries. Holding down the test button. Cleaning with vacuum. Nothing seems to stop the intermittent chirping.
