Ewan the Dream Sheep Purple

$55.00

(113 reviews)

Multi award winning Ewan the dream sheep is a simple yet effective tool for settling restless babies and toddlers into a peaceful slumber. Cute, cuddly Ewan attaches securely to the crib bars or sit him next to your moses basket, and plays real heartbeat and womb sound combinations that mimic the noises babies hear inside the womb. These comforting sounds have been proven to be effective for settling and calming even the most restless newborns, as they make the difficult transition from womb to world. Even better is that Ewan has a choice of 3 further pink noise sound combinations similar to white noise but more effectivewhich are suitable for older babies and toddlers, so he can go helping with your sleep routine well on into the preschool years. Ewan loves to travel, so if you're out and about he can be attached to the stroller or car seat so your little one can be comforted 'on the go' and theres no chance of leaving him behind. With his useful tail you could even securely attach a pacifier or teether. Ewan also doubles as a nightlight, thanks to his soft pink comforting glow, so need to buy one of these as an extra and his calming soft light simply adds to his charms. Requires 3 x AAA batteries.

A must buy for every newborn

I bought this for our newborn son, after inserting the batteries we tried out Ewan that night. Previously to buying Ewan I was rocking my newborn to sleep and was finding as soon as I put him into his basket he'd wake back up. I put my son down and put Ewan on. Ewan has 4 sounds and is timed to switch off in 20 minutes. My son loves this, there are not many times where I have to put Ewan on for a second time. Ewans belly glows red to, so it acts as a night light which is great for seeing a dummy.Ewan is used daily at night after every feed and has only had his batteries changed once in about 6 weeks. The only reason I have not given the style a 5* is because I would have liked to have seen an electrical charging option or the battery pack having a clip style ... MoreI bought this for our newborn son, after inserting the batteries we tried out Ewan that night. Bought this product to help sooth our twins.Pros - soft, cuddly, safe in pram / basket / cot. Option of four different sounds included relaxing harp and other white noise.Cons - absolutely awful battery life. We were changing these every 3-4 days!! The battery compartment is also a pain to get into as you need a screw driver, totally impractical if it’s 2am and you have a baby or two to settle. The product also only plays for a very short period of time - 10 minutes approx, so if baby doesn’t settle, you have to keep going in to press the leg of the sheep again to set it going. It certainly wasn’t a ‘dream’ for us.

Absolutely adore my Ewan, as does my daughter. His two left feet noises stopped working after a month, and now the front right one has stopped too. We take great care of him, I've tried replacing the batteries and have had a look inside and I can't at all work out what is wrong. As I don't have the receipt boots won't replace him. I paid £30 for him to work fully for 4 weeks. Now will have to buy another as my daughter loves him and I won't get away without it. Not pleased.

Essential Baby Sleep Aid
27 January 2015

This is an essential aid to getting a baby to sleep quietly and quickly soothes them to sleep by playing 1 of 4 music. You or easily the baby can press one of the legs and play hoover, rain, heartbeat or a lullaby for 20 minutes as they fall asleep. Nice soft material which my daughter brushes against her cheek. I have recommended with success to others and I would not be without this wonderful toy. I have used this for 18 months so far every night. I like it also because it is loud enough (2 settings) for the child so that if they press it through the night it is not too loud for you. Also it is easy for my daughter to press herself. You have the option of having a red glow (womb colour) which I think she likes to look at.

Ewan really IS a dream sheep
5 November 2014

He is soft, he is cuddly, and he gets baby to sleep all by himself in the cot at night. I loved cuddling baby in to get him to sleep, but as he was getting older I thought it better to get him into the habit of going down on his own, as I would soon be going back to work and it might be nice in future to get Grandparents to have a wee turn babysitting overnight. I thought this process was going to be really difficult, as his Dad had tried to put him down and failed miserably, (screaming and crying!) but the night we first tried Ewan baby had 5 minutes of rolling around quite happily in the cot, and the sheep sounds on so he starts to get sleepy, another five minutes and he's away to dream land cuddling Ewan. Good luck out there!

Ewan the Dream Sheep - Original Purple
15 October 2022

Ewan is my favourite sleep time toy. The lullaby tune is so soothing when I hear it now it makes me nostalgic for when my girl was a little baby. She also used to DJ/play with the different sounds in each foot. We still have it now and she is 6 so it is long lasting. I bought this as a gift as I think it is wonderful and very effective.

Ewan the comforter
18 June 2020

This product is a must for any baby who would benefit from a little comfort during the night. The womb noises are very soothing. My grandchildren have both benefited from it or should I say my daughter & her husband have. If baby wakes she’s just turned on one of the soothing sounds and baby feels like it’s back in the womb. I’ve now bought one for my friends daughter’s baby shower gift.

Lil Fella Loves it! Highly recommend!
23 February 2016

We were given one when our son was born. And found it a life saver! We only started using it around 4 months as thats when we got it, but it defiantly calmed him down and got him in the mood to sleep! And the sounds last 20min!! Everything else I have come across lasts maybe 5min or so… not enough time for the lil fella to get to sleep! So happy as can be :)I listen at the door after 15min, and sneak in and press one of the legs if he's still stirring. I have just bought one for a friend of mine who had a little girl, and she loves it too.I would highly recommend getting one!

Love this little sheep
4 June 2016

Bought this as a friend recommend it. My baby bit sleepies well at night but got it mainly for naps during the day or early morning naps. Ewan plays lovely music, sounds form the womb, white noises and water sounds. My little boy loves him. I tie Ewan with his Velcro tail to bars on cot so baby can rub him when it's time to sleep. He's very soft and very cute. His four legs contain buttons to play sounds and now my baby who's 4 months , can press these so can help to put him back to sleep. He switches off automatically after bout 10 mins. A lovely little teddy and glad and bought it.

Worth every penny

I bought this for my son before he was born based on the excellent reviews. However when he was born he paid no attention to it at all and I simply stopped using it. When he was around 10 weeks old I put it on during a particularly difficult night and my son stopped in his tracks! It is very soothing and has a calming low pink glowing chest and the sounds it makes are lovely. My son is now 9 months old and Ewan is used every single night and it works like a dream. My son can actually turn it on and off now (more luck than judgement clearly) but it happens quite frequently and is a bit of a shock when he starts playing during the middle of the night.I have recommended it to several people who have had just as much success as us. I hope it never breaks, and if it ... MoreI bought this for my son before he was born based on the excellent reviews.
