We started with the Embrace for our newborn and I loved it so much I was hesitant to move onto this model but no surprise, itās a dream! The straps have so many ways to wear (and the baby too) that it is so versatile I can see it growing with us for a long time! I loved the X strap design of the Embrace, but this one is SO comfy and supportive for my back. I never feel pulled forward or clenching my butt to counteract the front weight. We started using this when he was 15lbs and he fits great! LOVE the adjustable leg portion so I know babyās hips are safe whether he is faced inward or outward. It also has 2 small elastic pockets on the waist sides that could hold a pacifier or a phone or small wallet or keys.It is so nice to be able to adjust for baby forward facing or facing inward with just a slider and not having to button and unbutton to adjust. I think it is also nice to have the option to make the back straps cross. It is also so nice that the pillow area can fold in for newborn support instead of having to get a newborn insert, plus it is comfortable for an older baby to fold up to support their head as they sleep facing in and then fold out and down for when they are awake and want to look around.I also really like the cloth piece that stores in a little pocket on the front that can be easily taken out to protect baby from the sun, rain, or just to have privacy or to create a darker area for baby to nap.We have older kids and are on the go a lot, at school and sport events often, and this makes taking a baby much easier!I also like that this carrier can hold even toddlers with the weight it is capable of carrying. It also has the options to wear baby on your side or back, but I havenāt tried those yet since my baby is still pretty small.I received this carrier from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

This carrier has been a huge success since my daughter was born. We wear it everywhere. Itās structured yet still soft and comfy for parent and baby. The only reason Iām giving 4 stars is because the protecting cover over the babyās head becomes a little too tight and short for my liking since flipping the head support outwards. I wish the fabric was an inch or two longer to fully cover her head. Regardless, Iād buy this carrier again.

I had a caboo when my son was newly born and it was great but as he got bigger it started hurting my back. I tried a baby Bjorn but it wasn't any better. I was recommended one of these by a chiropractor. There are quite a few Ergobaby carriers and I was a bit unsure of which one to get. Essentially you get an Omni Dream and an Omni Breeze, they are the same thing except the breeze is made of a mesh type fabric that will be a bit cooler. The older version of the breeze is called the Omni 360 cool air mesh and the older version of the dream is the Omni 360 cotton. You still seem to get both versions for sale though. There is very little difference between them from what I managed to research, just some slight improvements to the newer versions. The older version of the breeze is called the Omni 360 cool air mesh and the older version of the dream is the Omni 360 cotton. You still seem to get both versions for sale though. There is very little difference between them from what I managed to research, just some slight improvements to the newer versions. One thing that I have found out is the 360s have more padding on the straps, by that I mean a longer section or the strap is padded. I think this was to address a complaint that if you were small you couldn't get the straps on a 360 tight enough. The bad thing is if you are a larger person they went too far and there isn't enough padding on the Dream. So basically if you are a small or normal sized person get the dream / breeze and if you are a larger person get the 360 version.Enough of that, for the carrier itself it's very very easy to use and put on and most importantly it's very comfortable to wear. My son seems to like it which is always good, I have only had him in either facing me or facing out so I can't vouch for the back carrying capabilities. The little pouch on it is useful as you can't really get into your jacket pockets when it's on. The straps are good quality and don't slacken themselves off over time. Only thing that annoys me about it is the hood thing, it comes out of the pocket all the time, would be better if the pocket had a popper on it or something to keep it in place. The hood is a bit useless to be honest, would be better if it was made of rain hood material, it's just a cotton flap and doesn't do much in the rain.As usual there is no rhyme or reason to what babies like and don't like but mine seems to like it, it's a good quality carrier and I would recommend it.
This carrier is not suitable for shorter people. I am 5ā3ā and man, do I hate wearing this thing. I have given it a chance for a year, thinking that maybe when my daughter got bigger, she would stop sagging and having to arch her back. Nope. I think the real fault is the shoulder strap design as the top and bottom of the loop are too close together. I bought this because I loved previous Ergo carriers but this one is just an awkward shape with too much vertical space for the baby and a bad strap design. It doesnāt even work for my husband. No amount of adjustment has ever made it comfortable enough for me and baby to use for longer than 40 minutes at a time.
The very first thing I noticed after pulling the Omni Dream out of the bag was how luxurious and soft the fabric felt! It conformed to my baby's body (and mine!) better than my current carrier that now seems stiff in comparison. I love all the carrying position options of this carrier starting from newborn from inward to outward facing, side carry, and the option of crossing the straps on the back. And the best parts are the removable zippered pouch (also love the zipper and divider inside!) for convenience, and the lumbar support for comfort! I was lucky enough to receive this before my trip from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and put it to the ultimate test: Disneyland. I was lucky enough to receive this before my trip from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and put it to the ultimate test: Disneyland. My 3.5 month old weighs about 19 pounds and I was able to comfortably wear him for at least six hours each day two days in a row. The lumbar support makes a huge difference. I only wish it was adjustable more because it doesn't quite line up centered on my back. Baby boy was content in the carrier happily drooling on the straps under the sun shade in 80 degree weather during the day and into the night. I also like that the sun shade can be tucked away in its own pocket when not in use. Although the back strap is a little tricky to clip, I am still able to easily put on baby by myself. I have only tried this inward facing and look forward to the other carry positions once baby has stronger neck/head support. I didn't know what I was missing until I got to try the Omni Dream out, I highly recommend this carrier!
I usually read the manual before using baby gear, but I was so excited to try out the Omni Dream Carrier, that I skipped the reading. Donāt! Itās well worth the time and effort to read the instructions carefully, because the adjustments needed (in my case, for my one-year old) made using the carrier the comfortable fit I had hoped it would be. Besides the comfort level for both me and my son, this carrier has many pluses. First off, in the aesthetics department: itās a beautiful shade of blue, it has a Fanny pack large enough to hold an iPhone, and it looks (and feels) light. The material is soft to the touch, and the padding on the neck rest is just the right level of cushy.Adjusting the straps to fit your frame takes a few minutes of work, and I recommend ...Ā MoreI usually read the manual before using baby gear, but I was so excited to try out the Omni Dream Carrier, that I skipped the reading. The material is soft to the touch, and the padding on the neck rest is just the right level of cushy.Adjusting the straps to fit your frame takes a few minutes of work, and I recommend clicking the back harness before putting the shoulder straps over your head. Personally, I found it a bit difficult to try to put that together with my hands behind me before I really understood the fit.In these last few days of summer heat, my baby was still cozy up being held by Mommy for a walk in the Omni Dream, which is the biggest plus of all. Heās so excited at this age to move independently, that itās nice to know that he is comfortable enough to relax against me even on a two mile walk along the Greenbelt. And I was not sore or tired from carrying him for that distance! The most important factor for me with this Carrier was its ease of use. Weād purchased another carrier that had to be wrapped and tied in a knot, and my husband just was not a fan of that; he thought it was too complicated and a hassle to use, and even preferred to carry the baby without a carrier! With the Omni Dream, he doesnāt feel like he needs a PhD in knot-tying, and is back to carrying LO in the carrier again :).Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this carrier. Iām a happy mamaā I wish weād gotten this carrier ages ago, and Iāll be happy sporting it the rest of the Fall on family walks in chillier weather.
I was given this carrier to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The first thing I noticed when taking the carrier out of the box was the nice, soft, durable feel of the fabric. It seems to be almost as durable as denim, but it's super soft. It's certainly the nicest, cosiest feeling carrier that I've used. Plus, I love the dark blue color. It's a great color for both me and my husband.Like most carriers, putting it on for the first time takes a little adjustment and it's certainly easier to adjust all the straps if you have someone to help. The standard front carry with the H style straps is the easiest and best suited to this carrier in my opinion, and it was very comfortable. The back support was amazing! I struggle with back pain and carrying little ones around all day really makes me sore, but with this carrier on, I felt like I could hold my little ones for hours! The back carry was also super comfy. I was able to carry my 3-year-old on my back and hold my 18-month-old kiddo at the same time for a little while without wearing out too much, and they loved it!I really wanted to try the hip carry, since that is what I'm used to without a carrier, but I just couldn't get it to feel right. The straps were always rubbing my neck wrong. It was the same with the cross back straps on the front carry, so I just stick with the basic H front and back carries, which are super comfy anyway, and the kids seem comfortable enough, and they just love having their mommy carry them around more.My favorite part of the carrier is the pocket. Wearing a carrier always makes it harder to access pockets (if you're lucky enough to have any, which as a woman, they're difficult to come by). This pocket fits my phone, keys, and wallet, and even has extra space, so I really appreciated that detail.Overall, I really like this carrier. It's super cozy, comfy material, nice padding, great lumbar support, and an awesome ride for snuggly kiddos. I wish the straps were more comfortable for the side carry and the X strap front carry, but otherwise, it's a great carrier.
Buckle up, as an āErgo foreverā mom is who is 4 kids deep, I consider myself a very seasoned baby wearing mom, particularly with Ergo carriers. Iāve tried wraps (donāt like) and I use similar brands as well, but my tried-and-true carrier has always been an Ergo. I always recommend Ergo first and Iāve enjoyed using them the most; I started with my very first baby in 2014 and have continued to this day. BTW, I got this for free from the Stellar Panel!First impressions:It feels thick but very soft. The thickness makes me pause as someone who lives in Arizona, because I donāt want my babies to be hot, but I enjoy the feel of the material overall.I literally just got done wearing my eight month old using my Ergo original galaxy carrier when this one arrived via FedEx, so I gave the two a touch comparison. My galaxy Ergo (used with kids 2, 3, and 4) feels like a very well broken in canvas material at this point, and the cotton definitely feels softer to the touch but it has that new, not broken in feel out of the box. I find the color to be a very cute shade of blue, so I think that was a excellent choice from a design standpoint.I opened up the manual and⦠Wow. I really donāt like it. Iād definitely need it from a āhow toā standpoint, which I will get into in a moment, but it unfolds like a poster stuck in a magazine. I really wish it was more of a booklet style because it was not super clear right away where I should start, nor how things were ordered, and that just seems like an unnecessary complication. Also, I was reading it with an eight-month-old sitting next to me, and holding my arms open wide and high in order to keep the paper out of her reach was just an annoying experience. That said the contents of the manual were very good. I felt like I understood how to use this ergo very quickly, and that was great. Feeding into the next point: this is not what I would call a āfirst time momā baby carrier. I think if I had received this carrier as a first time mom, I would have either had to have been primed that I NEEDED to read the manual and play with it before my baby arrived. If I hadnāt, I probably would have felt overwhelmed and just used it as simply as possible, thus NOT be using the carrier to its fullest extent (not utilizing all the awesome bells and whistles) and the versatility of this carrier it totally the point of getting it! I could see other moms opening it up and seeing all the different parts to it, and the huge manual, and getting so overwhelmed that they decided to set baby wearing aside and opting for either a different carrier or a stroller. I definitely want momās to baby wear over stroller pushing because I think itās so beneficial for mom, dad, and baby, so I would be hesitant to give this to a first time mom unless she was somebody I was personally very close to and I could walk her through how to set it up and use it. I think I understood the manual as well and as quickly as I did because I am soooo used to Ergo baby wearing that I jumped into it with a lot of knowledge. To put it into academic terms: I am already a 200 and 300 level Ergo baby wearer/owner, but this is a 400 level carrier! On to the carrier itself: guys⦠WOW!!!!! I LOVE IT! But let me be more specific ;) I LOVE the Velcro seat/button neck support situation. I love that I can switch from newborn to toddler in the blink of an eye. I also LOVE that this doesnāt call for the Ergo padded taco newborn baby insert, because that thing was way too warm for the topical and desert climates I used it in, and I was always glad to be done with that step as soon as possible. As a mom looking down the barrel of baby number 5, I am excited to try this with a newborn someday! Speaking of adjustments, I actually adjusted the seat and neck for my 8-month-old and was still playing with the carrier when my 2-but-almost-3-year-old came up and asked me to wear her. I quickly switched the seat to accommodate her size and we were off! She loved being in the carrier. She doesnāt really get worn anymore with the new baby around, but my always moving and talking kiddo was quiet and still while being worn. Beyond that - she is a thick kiddo but wearing her felt sooo un-burdensome. I can absolutely see wearing her more with this carrier. I would definitely recommend this carrier to a mom of multiples for this reason. Bonus points for this because my 4th was born with some tight hamstrings that we had to really stretch out, and even at eight months old she generally doesnāt like being worn with her legs spread out. Being able to adjust her little seat I think will make it a lot easier on her to have her legs out in a way that is comfortable for her.I am also pleased to see that ergo got on the padded back support train with this carrier. Of the other two ergo carriers I owned, neither had the padding along The back strap, which was the most uncomfortable point of wearing for me. I used Lillebaby because they came with the back support but I didnāt like their carrier as much as Ergo⦠now thatās not even a thought!Once I put my third born into the carrier I realized that the shoulder strap adjustments had shifted from being the ābackpackā style in placement, to on the body. The Lillebaby I have offers both with the carrier of theirs I own, and I strongly dislike it. I find it cumbersome and difficult to adjust, so I stick with the backpack side and periodically readjust everything as theyāve slowly slipped/shifted over time. I thought this would be a complaint of mine about this carrier, but in practice I actually love it. It adjusts sliding like butter, and the reach forward toward the body of the carrier to pull back and adjust is much less awkward than having to reach backward and up toward my shoulder for that strap to pull down on while doing a little jump and wiggle to help move the strap down my body. That was truly a shift for the better that I will get great joy out of.The two shifts that I do have to complain about are the hood and the switching of the placement of the hip clasp. I absolutely loved that my other ergo carriers had five different snaps to adjust the height and tightness of the hood, while other brands only had three, and this Ergo only has three! I am so sad about that part. Having the super fine tuning adjustments available has been very useful for me, and I feel like this was a downgrade decision. Iām also very used to reaching my right hand down to my waist to un-clasp the carrier but itās now on my lower left. Itās a new habit to form but it generally seems like a strange idea since most people are right handed, but I guess that just makes this complaint a āproā for left handed people! The other bells and whistleās about the carrier are phenomenal, though. The forward facing leg adjustment slides on the front of the body are game changing for me. I almost never wear my babies facing outward because the majority of the time that I am baby wearing, I am doing so to facilitate a nap, so they snuggle inwards. Usually when I am out and about somewhere that I would baby where, but I donāt my reasoning is this: adjusting the carrier to facilitate forward wearing is an annoying hurdle that just takes more time than itās worth. I would rather traditionally hold my baby or put them in some kind of cart or allow them to walk in order to allow them to see and engage with whatever it is that weāre doing. Now, with how quick and easy it is to adjust, I will be utilizing baby wearing and forward facing much more. I also thoroughly love the little pockets on each side of the front hip strap below the seat, and I really liked the little zippered bag when I saw it, but when I opened it⦠I LOVED IT! Ha ha! I know I keep saying that, but I love how it has little compartments and even a smaller zippered pocket inside. It is exactly the kind of tiny purse that I need in order to leave my own purse behind when walking around! I hate carrying my purse while baby wearing because the purse strap constantly slides off my shoulder when that carrier strap is on there, but now I can drop my cash, cards, and even my massive iPhone inside of that pocket and not have to worry about that part anymore. Iām so impressed and happy.I would definitely rate this carrier an 11/10 so far. I stand by that it would be a lot for a brand new mom, but if sheās primed to sit down and play/read for a bit, any mom can handle this thing and will be sooo grateful for the investment. Iād say itās best suited for on the go moms of multiples, particularly multiples of different ages. As of writing this, time will tell how my opinion shifts, but so far I am incredibly excited and eager to break this baby in and reallllly her some miles out of it!
This is my new favorite carrier and we have tried several. With that said, I don't think any carrier is perfect, so here are the pros and cons of the Omni Baby Dream Carrier after having used it at home and going through the airport with an 18 month old that weighs about 24 pounds:Pros:- The pockets on the waist belt, ideal size for a pocket size hand sanitizer.- The detachable little bag on the waist belt (one of my favorite features). It is big enough to comfortably but a smartphone and a few other things and even has slots to organize them.- The material is soft and didn't seem to makey son too hot. It is big enough to comfortably but a smartphone and a few other things and even has slots to organize them.- The material is soft and didn't seem to makey son too hot. I was definitely comfortable in it.- The fact that you can do any position: Front (facing forward or back), back, or side carry.- You will be able to use it for quite some time because it goes up to 45 pounds- The panel on the waist belt so the strap is not just bearing into you, especially if your stomach is soft like mine during back carry.- There are two places to adjust the circumference of the waist belt- The position of the clips for the shoulder straps is perfect for back carry (which is our preferred carry style), My arms didn't ever chafe against them like they do with a similar carrier I have from a different brand.- The shoulder straps are easy to tighten while the baby is already on your back so you can get the right tension.- I really liked the adjustable head support pillow as well.- Still looks good after s few washes on gentle cycle- Padded shoulder strapsCons:- The biggest con for me came up because of the way we use it so this may not happen to you but I take my son into and out of back carry alone so that involves twisting the waist band around to the side and then straightening it out again (shifting him to side and back) which made the velcro tabs kind of lift up at the edges and become uncomfortable for me. Once I figured this out I tried to be more careful about it, which did help- In side carry, the top strap has a tendency to go toward your neck- The shade hood bunches up some in it's pocket after you wash itOverall, I am very satisfied. Other things I would add is that when you want to switch between strap configurations, the stairs may touch the floor. I kept it on my back during the flight after I had taken my son out and was completely comfortable having it behind me. The instructions for the different configurations are a series of drawings. Once you get the hang of the different configurations, switching between them and adjusting is pretty straightforward. At least between back and side carry. Please note that these are my honest opinions after using this product that I received for free through the Stellar Product testing panel.
