Having tried a few rechargeable batteries, I found these panasonic Eneloops lasted longer than all of the others I tried. I do a lot of R/C, so I bought a lot of AA's also. Very impressed how long the AA's last in my R/C control. I rotate the AAA's through some automatic lights in my cupboards, and they last a good 3 weeks of opening the cupboard door, and staying on as long as it takes to find something. It's great to not have to worry about disposing of the old batteries anymore.

After more than 8 years the (other brand) rechargeable NiMH batteries that I had been using in my flash needed replaced. I decided to replace the batteries and charger with Panasonic Eneloop batteries and Quick Charger. The Eneloop batteries had good reviews and I really liked that the Panasonic Quick Charger (BQ-CC55) allowed for quick individual smart charging of one to four AA or AAA batteries in any combination. (My old charger required matching batteries in pairs and required 5 hours to charge.) The new Eneloop batteries are performing well in my speedlites with quick initial start up at 3 seconds and fast recycling.

I have been using Eneloop batteries for a few years now for all my photography needs. With my Canon camera flashes, the AA Eneloop batteries stay charged for a long period of time but it does take a while to charge. Well worth it though! Same goes with the AAA that I use for my Vello FreeWave transmitters. I like the fact that the same charger charges both AA and AAA batteries. They are dependable and long-lasting. Stop throwing away your money on disposable batteries that run down quickly. Eneloop has been the best photography investment for my equipment!
These are the latest 2100 cycle Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries which are 1.2V. If 1.2V have enough juice to power your equipment then get as many of these as you can. AAA and AA Alkaline batteries are 1.5V for example, but you need to buy lots of them and end up throwing them out when they run out of power. Panasonic acquired Sanyo so no worries, these are the genuine thing. I've just started using them, and hopefully they will last as long as the AA eneloops I bought 4 years ago which are still going strong. If so, then I'll give these five stars. Most reviewers love these batteries, so I'm not too worried. Don't confuse this with the Panasonic Eneloop Pro which has slightly more Mah but can only be recharged 500 times which might work better for ... MoreThese are the latest 2100 cycle Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries which are 1.2V. Most reviewers love these batteries, so I'm not too worried. Don't confuse this with the Panasonic Eneloop Pro which has slightly more Mah but can only be recharged 500 times which might work better for different uses than these. I'm using these eneloops in my chord-less Panasonic phone system and they work flawlessly. I do wish B&H sold the Panasonic Eneloop Pro charger without the AA Eneloop Pro batteries which can charge one battery at a time and does a slow charge (7 hours), so that the batteries are properly charged. AAA rechargeable batteries may not be properly charged in quick chargers that expect two 1000 Mah batteries. There are no AAA 1000 Mah rechargeable Enleloops, only AA eneloops have this capacity.
Most of the rechargeables I'd bought in the past only lasted a couple of years, so I thought I'd buy more expensive ones with the best reviews. What a disappointment - 6 months and they're useless. Now only hold enough charge for a 20 minute phone call at best. Friends and businesses are wondering why I keep cutting them off.
I have been using Eneloop batteries for years now and I love them. Eneloop batteries in general have made an immeasurable impact on my workflow. I can shoot a three hour 1200 exposure event on just the four of the AA size Eneloops in my Canon flash. I never worry about my batteries failing on me and that is considerably different than the bad old days. Their claim to fame is that they hold a charge for a long time and this is true to an extent and they come charged in the package when you get them so in a pinch you can use them right away. I use them not only in my camera gear but around the house in my remote controls and telephones. Buy them and use them and you will not be sorry.
After seven years, the batteries in my Panasonic cordless phone were no longer fully recharging. These batteries came partially charged and ready to use, but it took about two hours in the charging cradle to attain a fully charged state. Everything is looking good so far.
I bought it to replace the Philips hue motion sensor batteries. for most batteries the sensor battery indicator went up to 100% for 2 of them a bit less... not sure if the battery delivers less or the sensor is not right. in any case for that use it is trivial as it will last 1-2 years anyway
my TV remote needed new batteries and it seems the AAA alkaline batteries all came in packs of 8, 12, 24, whatever. It finally dawned on me to get a pack of Enerloop. Since they have a shelf life of years the low power drain isn't a problem and I won't be having to charge every other month, I checked that remote works fine on the lower voltage (1.25) of the NiMH, I've already got a charger, so if I have to charge once every year or two I might come out ahead on cost, and certainly ahead on convenience by not having to go buy batteries.
