I enjoy espresso over coffee, just a quick shot of caffeine then on my way for the day. The Nespresso essenza is really easy to use, just as you would with any pod coffee/espresso maker- pop the pod in, press a button and wait for your delicious caffeine. The machine itself is compact and that is really nice as I’m able to stick it on a portion of the counter which much doesn’t fit. It’s like my mini barista section. The whole process of making my espresso takes less than 45 seconds from grabbing my cup, putting in a pod and having my morning espresso.

Favorite part of my kitchen!! This machine is so compact and cute and easy to use!! I can easily put in my favorite espresso pod and get café quality coffee in seconds! The quality is amazing for being at home and truly depends on the pod you purchase. The pressure is amazing and perfect in extracting the perfect amount of strength per shot. It is also very easy to control quantity of coffee produced to ensure it is not too strong or watered down. It has saved me sooo much money at cafés and brings me joy knowing that you don’t need to add any additives or artificial sweeteners!!

Good when you are in a rush

DeLonghi "Essenza Mini" works as intended. It is easy to use and is quick enough for the morning rush. It is just a matter of finding the coffee type for your taste. It will never be a barista quality but it is good enough in a hurry. The no hassle and ease of use are the main reasons we bought it. Frother makes too much foam with the spring on, which is not very fine and sits on the top as a cup lid. Frother could be improved, but at the same time you shouldn't expect steam wand milk foam quality.

Great little machine

I purchased the Essenza Mini for our second house in the country. It has a tiny kitchen with just a little bit of counter space. I've owned many Nespresso machines in my lifetime, and none of them has ever disappointed me. This one is small and slim, but the quality is just as good as the $600+ Creatista that I have at home. Makes great espresso and a generous lungo with the quality you'd expect from a Nespresso machine. I would not hesitate to purchase this gem if you love coffee and don't have much space.

Small but effective

A great compact coffee machine perfect for a single person or a couple. I got this for our small onsite caravan and it fits in the small shelves in the kitchen nicely. You do need 2 plugs as the machine and frother plug in separately. It doesn’t fit standard sized cups underneath the nozzle with the drainer on so we take the drainer off (it just lifts up easily). And you will need to empty the capsule draw regularly. But it’s small, so you need to expect these things. Still makes a good pod coffee as good as a bigger one.

Good machine based on first month of use.Very easy to use and makes decent coffee.Snobbery aside, the quality of espresso it produces leaves anything other than genuinely well-made barista coffee well behind.After trying Nespresso, Nescafe, L'Or, and Vottoria caspules the Nesxx brands have the best flavour and richness for my taste, but the better of the L'Or and Vittoria types are quite good as well.Four stars for now as longevity not yet proven. If it lasts and continues to perform as well as most users report then it will get five stars down the track.

The espresso machine makes espressos (1.35 oz) and lungos (3.7 oz) and makes them quickly even with the time it takes for the machine to start up. The machine takes the original Nespresso coffee pods, not the vurtuo. Original pods are less expensive but with fewer flavor options. I'm a fan.

This tea-holic is now a total coffee convert!

I decided to start drinking coffee over winter because it was so cold and you can only manage so many cups of tea! I'm a total convert now! This Essenza Mini makes it SO easy to make and the ceremony of coffee making is a lovely start to my day. Loads of options easily available when it comes to capsules to try. I did a lot of research and chose this because of its small footprint, good price and quiet noise. Absoutely delighted and would highly recommend it. The frother is very easy to clean and I have a weekly reminder to clean the machine itself. Delighted!

Very happy but with caution

Easy as to order online and click and collect service. Especially great to purchase on a good sale price too. I love the ease of use, the compact size and the minimal cleaning for this great little coffee machine. But this is now the third machine purchased over 10 years. In both of the previous machines I’m sure the problem should have been fixed but sadly it seems to be yet another appliance to merely dispose of to landfill because of repair costs, parts etc
