Good close shave onky reason firc4 stars as the instructions are atrocious and not very clear at all. As for the cleaning thing I havent a clue as again instruction hard to find and understand.At first actually thought instructions where missing.Also theres no plastic cover guard for the foil. Havent attempted to attatch the attatchement as bit as not sure. Wouldnt have paid full price for this. I got it on offer half price

MoreAfter having a quick look at this shaver setup was fairly straight forward right out of the box so I didn't have to go messing around looking for instructions (because who wants to do that right), however I do have a small gripe about that I'll address later in the review...So first impressions, packaging is impressive and informative, on opening the box I found a beautifully styled shaver which I was really impressed with with a convenient zip up carry case which is a handy bonus.As previously mentioned it was pretty easy to set up, stick the cartridge in the bottom of the smart care centre and plug it in, which is probably just as well really because the instructions for the product are all pictures and to be honest i found them slightly confusing, My one gripe would be that it doesn't explain in writing so you are kind of left to your own interpretation of what the pictures mean.I also did wonder if the cleaning fluid cartridges would be hard to find, but a quick google later and I'm fairly satisfied that they are readily available online and fairly reasonably priced at around £15 for 3 (I'm not sure how long one lasts but I imagine a while), as are the foil replacement cassettes (blades), which are (I think) about £30 but these apparently last approximately 18 months (according to the box) so if you consider that alongside the price of a pack of razor blades which you'll buy all the time it would probably save you a fair few quid in the long run.The shaver itself though not heavy feels fairly solid in the hand, easy to grasp so there's little chance of it slipping from your hand. the buttons are fairly self explanatory, on, off, stop and go and the rotational foil shaver part moves and adjusts nicely across the curves of your face.The razor cuts great, I have quite fine facial hair so I was a little worried that the foils wouldn't catch it the way they do course stubble but I was pretty impressed with how well it cut, a couple of passes and the hair was gone, leaving a smooth close finish and with ZERO razor burn or discomfort. a very VERY nice and comfortable shave.I did find it a little hard to neaten up the edges of my goatee, but a quick switch over to the precision trimmer attachment that is included sorted that right out.Sticking the shaver back into the cleaning station is as simple as placing it and touching a button, and the automated cleaning process fires up your shaver whilst simultaneously blasting it with an alcohol based sterilising solution so you have peace of mind that it's nice and clean and hygienic every time you use it, it also has a traffic light feature that shows when the cleaning cartridge needs replacing and as I mentioned previously these are readily available.I think I've just about covered everything in this review so in summary I would say that if you are looking for a low maintenance, hygienic, great quality and nice looking shaver then I would definitely recommend this model as a go to product. Braun is a reliable brand and this more than meets the standard you would expect from the name.
After seeing an advert for the series 7 on TV. I was impressed. After paying £230 from my local Argos ( my mistake) then after using it I found it wasn't as expected,, missed parts of my beard after going over and over again. In total over about 45mins to have a clean shave.I had stupidly thrown the packaging away so I am now stuck with it. Also doing more research I have now found it alot cheaper options with more attachments. £230 from Argos way overpriced.So overall highly unimpressed and highly overpriced
This is my third Braun Shaver, the previous two having lasted over ten years each. I am pleased with my purchase. It gives a good close shave and the ‘floating’ head foils and supporting mechanism maintain good contact with facial contours. The shaver is comfortable in the hand and I like it’s appearance. The only downside is that the ‘trimmer’ attachment is a separate item rather than built in, therefore the foil head has to be removed to attach the trimmer. There’s nothing wrong with this but it’s not as convenient as my last shaver where you could just flick out the trimmer blade if you encountered a stray longer hair or if, for instance, you wanted to edge a moustache or side burns.

Despite a lockdown growth of a few days, the razor glided over my skin taking the hair off without a problem. Curves and face shape were no problem for a nice clean shave. Once done, cleaning was no issue at all and when placed in the docking station, it gets a further clean from the cartridge of cleaning agent that slots into the smart station. So far 4 days of shaving and never had anything but a clean shave. No catching of hairs, no patches left behind. This is a razor that does what it says on the box.
