Wow! This little gem is a lifesaver for my little fur baby! I was skeptical at first reading so many reviews saying how much it made a difference but I had to try something. My 5 year old started acting out for no reason, attacking his sister for no reason and being very hateful to us. He’s always been a loving cat from them minute we brought him home and was really out of charter for him to be acting out. It was almost like he was acting territorial, scared and walking around pacing the house. This Feliway Diffuser is doing its job. I was at my wits end what to do and now I feel so much relief. He’s calm and doing his normal everyday routine. Even our other female cat is more calm and happy too. It’s hard to believe that something that looks like a plug in air freshener can give so much comfort in such a little time. I got this at Petco for almost $50, came with the diffuser and one plug in. To me it’s worth every penny. The plug in’s are supposed to last 30?dais and then you buy the replacement plug ins for it. This is the best money I’ve spent and I’ll continue to use this as long as they make them. I definitely 100% recommend this to anyone that has a fur baby in need.

Calms my cats, but has installation issues.

I've used this product for about two years. Does the job, but I've learned a couple of installation caveats. This product is rated for operation from 110 to 120 volts. (Marked on the top of the diffuser.) If the voltage is on the high end at 120 volts, the diffuser runs hot. At 110 volts, it runs a little cooler. There are voltage reducers available to adjust the voltage. OK, that being said, the refill bottle will last longer, closer to the published "30 days". Also, be sure the is screwed on tightly, or it will drip liquid. (The higher voltage (120 v) exacerbates the drip. The wall outlet must have strong plug retention. or the Feliway diffuser will sag downward, or could fall out of the socket and break when it hits the floor! Didn't work for my cats. Changed their behaviors.

I purchased this product due to my older male cat that started acting out when our youngest kitty came home. Instead of it working, it did the opposite. My oldest started spraying. Something he has never done and has been fixed since he was a kitten. Then our youngest, who is fully littered trained and never went outside of his litter box, started peeing on our bed. While cleaning I unplugged the diffuser and forgot about it. During that time span, they were back to normal. Didn't think anything about it and plugged the diffuser back in. Within a day, my oldest was on edge and the youngest urinated on the bed again. Horrible product for my cats.

Hmmmm questionable depending on reason for purchase...

I tried to have low expectations and that's exactly what it seem to deliver. I'm not sure it worked, because my 2 cats were getting used to a new cat in the house --they are very friendly and lovin but due to that cat being older, grumpy and anxious they were also anxious and changed their attitude. After a week, they seemed a little calmer but it was hard to tell because the new cat left our place for some time. I think calming treats or gel works a little better but each cat is different. It just felt like a little waste of my money. I think this is more for anxious cats (like the new one needed it in her room) not the other way around. I overall don't love the packaging but I like the science behind the product.

I think it’s working

My vet recommended that I try to to see if it helped my cat stop peeing outside the litter box. This had been going on for a couple of months. Treated him for urinary infection a couple of times but he still was peeing. I keep my five litter boxes very clean too. I bought ANOTHER box and got PRETTY LITTER in addition to the cat pheromone diffuser. I have three diffusers in my house now and six litter boxes. So far the combination is working and Milo is not peeing on the wall or in various places in my house. I changed too many variables to pinpoint exact one that did it, but it’s working and I’ll continue to use the pheromones and the pretty litter! I figure the pheromones are not hurting anything. No other cat seems to be bothered by it.

My cat Lara is very nervous around slight noises and we have always had to approach her gently; even then, she sometimes can get defensive quickly. I plugged this in an area where we could both sit and relax with pats and to try cuddle more without her getting skittish and running off to hide for a while. I did not expect miracles the first day but I did get a longer pat and she was more approachable and curious so it was a start. This worked immediately! I was amazed. I was skeptical of trying it due to some negative reviews but I was so worried about my cat and nothing else seemed to be working. Every cat is different and also the situation you want to use it for will not be the same as others. I see one person used this BEFORE moving when the cat was not stressed and complained it made the cat too relaxed. I don't think the cat needed it when it was used, THAT was most likely the problem. My cat, an indoor outdoor, sprained its paw so I was keeping it indoors to heal but of course, the cat wanted to go out like crazy. It was raining all the time so I left the door open so he could just sit and watch. On day three of injury he started hiding, did not want to be pet or eat. I'm just so glad he's happy and I can get him in to the vet for a check up. He's not really MY cat, he is my neighbor's but he likes staying here more for some reason. Anyway, try it. Petco will allow a return if it doesn't work they told me. Maybe it's just an exchange so clarify this but I am one happy buyer and the help in the store went above and beyond with their genuine care and assistance.

I tried this at my daughter's recommendation whose friend is in Vet Nursing school. She says the clinic where she works swears by it. Given the odd and neurotic behavior my cat had been displaying recently, I figured it would be worth a try even if it didn't work.Not only did I receive this incredibly quickly from when I ordered it, within hours of plugging it in, I swear my cat was different. I figured at first that this must be in my head. Maybe I wanted it to work so it did. My husband and I gave it a few more days, and I can honestly say that the pacing, screaming/crying, and general agitation that my poor guy displayed almost disappeared completely.Our cat is 14 years old and still quite spunky. works but possibly dangerous ?

I love it, it has helped my cat so much! She was licking her tummy and legs raw due to anxiety and she has almost completely stoped since I plugged this in.Although the first one did smell like plastic and had smoke coming from it, I called customer service and they sent a replacement for free.The new one worked fine the first month but now, after replacing the oil, it has started smoking again. I am not sure if that’s normal or not .. seems odd. I did take a video but I can’t add it to this so there’s a screenshot in which you can see the smoke.Is it supposed to have some smoke to it? I’d love to hear from the company as I see many other reviews just like mine.
