The problem is that when I remove them from my ear the 2 separate! So I have to try and needle the memory foam back into the outer coating and then TRY and have it all fit on the ā€˜stick’ of the earplug. I haven’t succeeded yet so I am not able to use them. I’ve never returned any products that I didn’t like because it’s too complicated but I am so discouraged about this purchase. Sooo disappointed ā˜¹ļø

Hoping they improve
18 November 2024

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the Dream earplugs. I have two other versions of Loops and I enjoy them very much. I think the company puts out a great product, their customer service seems good, and everything is pretty and well-made. The Dream earplugs are beautiful and soft and they don't stick out past her ear, so that seems good for side sleepers (which I am). Unfortunately, I found that even the soft foam still filled my ear in ways that made it uncomfortable to sleep. The extra small size don't seem to fill my ear enough to block any sound, and the small size pushes on the inside of my ear canal in ways that make them hurt. Additionally, I don't notice much sound blocking at all. With my other versions of loops, I have taken them to loud ...Ā MoreUnfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the Dream earplugs. With my other versions of loops, I have taken them to loud concerts and found the sound to be at a comfortable volume with my Loops in, with these I haven't found any noticeable decrease in the sound of my snoring partner. I really like the company, and I hope that they can improve these to do what they are meant to, I really want to like them.

Huge disappointment! Not interchangeable, poor fit
20 October 2024

Truly disappointed in these!! I’m a Loop Stan and use them regularly, including a Quiet pair for sleep.Tl;dr version: Dream is just here to make you spend money on a lesser product that MIGHT work for you (but you’re probably better off with Quiet)Dream is an upgrade from Quiet in ONLY two ways:1. Adding foam into the tips is a better seal, more comfortable, and better sound insulation2. The little nubbin you use to put them in and out is much softer than the Quiet (I sometimes experience discomfort with my Quiets)In every other way they are a downgrade. I wish I had kept the box so I could return them. I can’t emphasize enough how disappointed I am in these earplugs.Things I hate:THE CASE. I wish I had kept the box so I could return them. I can’t emphasize enough how disappointed I am in these earplugs.Things I hate:THE CASE. Absolutely mystified why there is no loop attached to this thing. It’s a really small feature, but it’s how I keep track of my case and earplugs because I attach it to my phone charging cable. Now without the loop, my cats have decided they’re a cat toy. I will lose these $50 earplugs in 2 days as a result. It’s also the old school loose case, which is terrible for people with poor fine motor skills (like me) because I open it and the earbuds fly out. Aren’t a huge percentage of your customers autistic or neurodivergent? We are not known for our fine motor skills. Why would you do this to us?The shape of the buds is awful. It’s supposed to naturally fit your ear canal and I guess I just learned there’s nothing natural about the shape of my ear canal because these flat out don’t fit. They don’t fit my ears as well as the standard shape in any size at any rotation. My ears are actually two very different sizes; with the Quiet and regular loop buds, I can make it work with the same size because I cram the larger one in there on both sides and it smooshes in just fine. Not so with Dream: I have to use two different size buds and even then the fit isn’t right. Also, do you have any idea how frustrating it is that this is the only product I put into my ears that I have to use two different sizes for? Atrocious. Especially when I put these on in my completely blacked out bedroom. This may sound silly but these color options are quite trash as well. Why did my black buds come with a white case? I didn’t want black, or beige, or purple. What’s wrong with a nice, sane blue? Or even a gray. I don’t want beige earplugs my sleeping partner can’t see if I’m wearing because they blend into my skin tone, black looks disgusting immediately not matter how clean my ears are, and purple??? What? Literally pick any other color. Also BEIGE as a neutral? It’s 2024, even bandaids don’t come in one shade of beige - neither do ears! Finally, the nail in the coffin: THE TIPS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE with the other loop earplug tips. This means I can’t use the tips that fit (Quiet) on the base I prefer (Dream). Feels like a product decision motivated by $$$ to force people to buy different bits and bobs. A great product would be interchangeable. A good product would work well for me. This is just a bad product because it doesn’t leverage the large Loop accessory pool and doesn’t play nicely with my anatomy.Overall, I feel like I wasted the money upgrading to these. I wish I could return them. Major disappointment and will make me think twice before buying any ā€œnewā€ Loop models.Stick to what works and please KEEP THINGS INTERCHANGEABLE.

I like the Loop Dream earplugs
9 November 2024

The Loop Dream earplugs work well for me. My wife likes to watch TV late at night to unwind. I am in bed early. Also, when we go on vacation, the TV is always on. I have a hard time sleeping to talking sounds.I have been using sleep buds like the Bose and now the Ozlo. I usually play either ocean or rain sounds in them. Sometimes, I want silence. The Loop Dream earplugs work well. They silence the noise for me.The only thing that I don't like is the silicone/foam ear cushion. I find that when I take the earplugs out of my ears, the silicone sometimes separates from the foam and inverts. I have a hard time putting the silicone back over the foam lining.Otherwise, I like the Dream earplugs and case very much.

Neurodivergent with misophonia and sleep disorders approves (but there's still room for improvement!)

I am AuDHD and have misophonia, so the smallest noises can feel painful and either keep me from falling asleep or wake me up. I also have Narcolepsy Type 2, which degrades sleep quality so that no matter how much of it I get, I tend to feel tired (although proper medication and a CPAP help). Due to these issues, I've worn earplugs to bed for years now. Once I tried Loops, I was hooked. For a long time I wore Quiets, then Quiet 2s, to bed and cycled through the other types during the day as needed (Experiences and Switches are too hard at the loop part for sleep in my opinion). Once I tried Loops, I was hooked. For a long time I wore Quiets, then Quiet 2s, to bed and cycled through the other types during the day as needed (Experiences and Switches are too hard at the loop part for sleep in my opinion). Unfortunately, I have a tendency to lose at least one from every set of Loops (having cats does not help, and they had a tendency to pop out of my ears durint the night), even when I use the Link. This means that I have to visit the website often, which is how I discovered the Dreams.I admit, the $49. 95 price tag threw me a little and I almost didn't try them, especially since Loop isn't big on coupon codes or big discounts. In the end, I'm glad that I did. After wearing them for a month or so, I can safely say that I really like these earplugs. They are comfortable and fill the ear canal snugly, blocking out a good deal of the noise that would typically disturb me (lcats/dogs grooming, ticking noises, and light snoring) and dulling the louder noises (enough that I've slept through calls several times). They're easy to put in and mostly stay in place: whereas I would wake up with at least one ear empty just about every night with the Quiets, with the Dreams its more like every 3-4 nights. When I wake up I've made it routine to place the Dreams in their case by my bed in exchange for one of the other types. That said, I still feel like the price is on the high side. I don't see any reason that the Dreams should cost more than a pair of Experiences. Frankly, I feel like the prices have gotten too expensive overall with how easy these things are to lose, especially with ADHD and pets. I also don't like that it isn't possible to purchase a single replacement instead of a full pair. Then there is the plug part, which is meant to be replaced regularly. I've already noticed some deformity and wear to foam core of the Dream plugs and the silicone lining often rides up and over the foam when you pull them out (unfortunately, the manner in which the skin rolls up and then has to be gently tugged back over the foam interior is both a fiddly pain in the rear and, for the adults out there, resembles certain unaltered male components - at least it does in the peach color I chose).Furthermore, I understand why the original kit includes multiple sized tips for fitting, but I see no reason why the replacements have to be purchased in mixed-sized sets for $14. 95 instead of by size. As of right now, replacement tips can't even be purchased to match anything except the black pair, so, as long as I don't lose one, I'll eventually have mis-matched dreams. This is also a problem with the constantly rotating limited colors: I really wish they'd introduce a wider range of static colors. Finally, I'll adress the base part, which is completely unlike any other Loop earplug. The product description calls them a "closed-loop. " In person, this feels pretty accurate: they are clearly Loop rings coated in gelly-soft silicone. They are noticeably a great deal softer than the Quiet 2 Plus pair I'm wearing right now. With as often as I enjoy maximum noise reduction, employing Mutes with every pair that can use them, I'd be interested in using the "closed-loop" stem with different tips. That said, I'm not convinced that the stems are worth $35 (seeing as it costs $14. 95 for a full set of tip sizes and the fully-assembled Dreams are $49. 95).Overall, I think the Dreams are much better for their intended purpose. If you're a light sleeper or find it difficult to fall asleep due to noise-disturbances even with plugs in, or if the shape, size, thickness, tendency to fall out, and/or hardness of other earplugs bothers you, Dreams are likely to make a big difference. If, on the other hane, you're getting by just fine with another style or brand with little difficulty, I wouldn't bother spending the extra money just to own a pair. And to Loop, please think about offering single earplug replacements for those of us who have a tendency to lose half of a set (I now have a collection of mis-matched Loops of various styles) as well as offering tips in single sizes (I also have a shoe-box sized plastic container full of Loop boxes with tips that don't fit / fit poorly). As a loyal customer, things like that would definitely be appreciated (as would a price reduction, but now I'm really Dreaming, right?).

Not a Dream come true

I was really eager to try Loop for a sleeping earplug after hearing positive reviews, and the Dream style launched right as I was making my decision, and it seemed perfect. I shelled out the high price thinking all the features would be worth it. Top priority for me was noise reduction and I’m really disappointed in these! I tried the different sizes and got ā€œa good sealā€ but still can hear alllll the noises. They do fit snugly flat in the ear when they are in, almost too well because I have to dig a bit under the handle to get leverage to get them out.I’ve given them a good shot but honestly, I’m going back to the foam shop earplugs to drown out the sounds and I’ll use these for when I need filtering. I can’t compare it to other Loops because this was my first and most likely my last.

Not worth it, get Loops Quiet 2 instead

I found the fit of the new Dream earplugs to be unsatisfactory, particularly when compared to the Quiet 2 version, which I believe is superior. I was looking forward to trying them due to their advertised maximum noise reduction capabilities. Unfortunately, the silicone Loop Dream ear tips consistently flipped when I removed them from my ears, making it quite difficult to fit them over the oval foam-silicone ear tips. This is my first experience returning a Loop product, and I initiated the return process, which has proven to be less than straightforward. I attempted to connect with a customer service representative via chat, but their response time was slower than expected, adding to my frustration. Additionally, the return/exchange portal lacks user-friendliness. ...Ā MoreI found the fit of the new Dream earplugs to be unsatisfactory, particularly when compared to the Quiet 2 version, which I believe is superior. Overall, I am disappointed with both my purchase and the level of customer service provided thus far.I am unclear about the reason I received an email indicating that my order is being prepared, especially following my recent experience with customer service chat with Christopher. My main request was for a return label and a refund to my original payment method. I find it perplexing that this process seems to be so complicated.

Poor noise insulation and awkward fit

Before you point fingers at me questioning if I know how to use Loop earplus, let me tell you, I own Experience 1 and Quiet 2, and have been a Loop customer for a while. I am well-aware of how to use and insert their earplugs properly to have them sealed in.I suffer from misphonia and my upstairs neighbor makes a lot of impact noises every day. I already have Quiet 2 but I saw Dream came out and it's being marketed as the most noise reducing + comfortable earplugs. So I decided to try.Dream is supposed to have 27 db reduction (Quiet 2 has 24db) only. I turned on some background TV noises (low volume) and my bathroom vent. With Quiet 2, I won't be able to hear anything, but Dream failed the noise reduction part - the vent was clear and enhanced, and I could still ...Ā MoreBefore you point fingers at me questioning if I know how to use Loop earplus, let me tell you, I own Experience 1 and Quiet 2, and have been a Loop customer for a while. With Quiet 2, I won't be able to hear anything, but Dream failed the noise reduction part - the vent was clear and enhanced, and I could still hear the TV noises. I tried different ear tips and ensured I sealed them, but no, it didn't work.In terms of comfortability, it failed again. The memory foam tips are extremely hard to navigate and put in. Because how Dream is softer and more flexible, it also has an extra silicon part that sticks out to allow movements while sleeping, in which I don't appreciate.Overall, this is an overhyped and falsely marketed product. Being a Loop long-term customer, it's dissapointing to see such a product being released and marked at this price point and not meeting expections.I have returned mine and would not recommend getting this. You are better off with Quiet 2 if you are looking for noise reduction. Even my Experience 1 with mute blocks more noise than Dream.
