Dyson TP07 Cool Air Purifier (Black/ Nickel)

Performance:Sadly lacking for the price paidPortability:LightweightUnless you're someone obsessed with how much dust, etc etc this thing is filtering for you every second, don't waste your money. You'd have to get it up to at least a fan speed of 8 (out of 10 speed settings) to get some decent air blowing.Other than that, it's lightweight and looks great! Nothing else really going for it, but if anyone wants to buy it off me, let me know! I don't mind getting it out of my hands. 😂😂Oh, seller sent it pretty fast, and received within a few days. Delivery was good and item was handled well.

Don't waste your money!

Terrible product. It's an art piece at best. Fragile and not fit for purpose. I bought two of these in two different colours. If you have children, then it's definitely going to break. Does a pathetic job of cleaning the air as opposed to my samsung ax90 air purifier. Dyson needs to stick to making vacuums only as I have their v15 stick vacuum, which is an excellent machine but overpriced, as with all dyson products. If you're pompous and self-centred, then this machine is perfect for you. JB HiFi were excellent at accepting my return of these two dyson machines. Their customer service and after sale service has always been excellent.

Fantastic for smoke

I bought this not that long ago about a month.I have many reasons to purchase this one being I have candles all around my home. I live with somebody in my household cannot have lights on at all we are candles on every day specially in the evenings when it is dark this is my second Dyson I’ve got one of the compact small ones which is also fantastic to work and use I’ve put candles on at 6 o’clock I’ll keep the purifier on from the evening soon as the candles are lit the leaves are home smoke free they’re great for that alone. I also have someone in my home who has sinus problems especially in the evening I purchased this large one so I could use it in the bedroom it helps with my husband who has a problem with sinuses are you can now sleep a lot more comfortable ... MoreI bought this not that long ago about a month.I have many reasons to purchase this one being I have candles all around my home. But have to understand this is not a fan this is a purifier which helps to keep fresh air in the room just like being outside in the fresh air . I am saving now to bring another one in later in the year I’m looking at buying The one with the water tank . My first purchase was a Dyson small purifier plus a hoover I would recommend this for anybody who has breathing problems or dust allergies or sinus even be ideal if you like to have candles on in the evening house to keep smoke free in the areas I have purchased a new home and didn’t want candles mode which locks on sightly also save some decorating I highly would recommend this to anybody worth Every penny

Great - if you have realistic expectations from it

I struggled for a while to decide whether or not to buy this fan/purifier as there were very mixed reviews on the internet. Some people were saying it was fantastic, with one review describing it as the 'Ferrari of fans'. Others were not so complementary as you'll see below, with people describing it as overpriced and useless. Let's address the first point - yes, it is expensive, there is no getting away from that. On the second point, I think it's a fantastic device if you set your expectations at the right level. A lot of people seem to be angry that it doesn't reduce the temperature of a room, which you should not expect it to as it is not A/C. If you are looking for room cooling or A/C type of results, this isn't the product for you; I personally decided against ... MoreI struggled for a while to decide whether or not to buy this fan/purifier as there were very mixed reviews on the internet. A lot of people seem to be angry that it doesn't reduce the temperature of a room, which you should not expect it to as it is not A/C. If you are looking for room cooling or A/C type of results, this isn't the product for you; I personally decided against A/C due to the cost of running it and the fact I didn't want a pipe hanging out of my window. What this is, is a very good fan that does a good job of keeping you cool.I live in a modern property that seems to trap heat and during our recent heatwave, I was able to enjoy mostly uninterrupted sleep thanks to the fan, that I felt was incredibly effective at keeping me cool, at least up until about 28c+ weather where it is still worthwhile but becomes a little less effective, due to the fact it can't actively cool. A lot of people seem to complain about the noise but I've had it as high as level 5 during the heat and was able to get to sleep quite quickly, this all comes down to your tolerance to noise whilst sleeping (I don't like noise whilst sleeping but this is just an ambient blowing sound and I found it fine). I suffer quite badly from allergies and have found since I've had this device, my sinus pain has been much better, so I think the purifying element is fantastic too.In summary, it's probably the best fan you could buy, but don't expect it to make your room chilly. I'm able to give it 5* as I bought it knowing what to expect and it's met those expectations, I understand why you'd be disappointed if you expected active cooling, like with A/C. I would suggest taking advantage of the generous period Dyson allows for you to return the device, to see if it works well for you. Stuff like noise tolerance is personal and whilst I acknowledge it's not as good as A/C, for what I wanted it's the next best thing. I'll probably pick up the tower fan for my living room one they come back in stock.

Great air purification, with bonus extras

Its amazing how my regular sneezing attacks disappeared almost immediately after turning this on in my bedroom. I leave it on Auto setting and its virtually noiseless, but if you want to use this as a room fan you do need to turn it up a little to get a noticeable breeze. The app is great to check the readings in your room and surroundings. If you are buying this purely as a fan you might be disappointed, but when combined with the purification and air quality measurements available in the app, it is a great purchase. Looks good too!

Not what you expect

Purifier works well, you can feel the difference in the air and I have noticed our bedroom is less dusty. Although I do have to say I was shocked at how loud it is compared to a pedestal fan (what we originally had in our bedroom). Another thing is it doesnt blow as much air as a pedestal fan but we still find it enough for our bedroom. I wouldnt say this is a cooling fan though. Its just a fan. Has no aircon like feature to make the room cooler. Would I recommend - honestly Im not sure. For the price I do wonder if its actually worth it.

Stick to Vacuums Dyson!

Having owned several dyson vacuum cleaners over the past 7 years and bearing in mind that I just bought a Dyson v15 at top dollar just last month. I naturally thought to myself that they make excellent vacuum cleaners despite the overpriced price tag that their Air Purifier/fan would be equally good, if not better.Well, I was very wrong. After buying two of their Air Purifying fans (TP07 models) in the white and Nickle. I found that all the hype in their informational videos, ads, and website was exactly that, hype! This talk about circular air flow, sucking in the toxic gases and clean air, was non-existent. In fact, when the fan is set to its highest setting, you only get a gentle breeze that only infuriates you. Indeed, a cheap $20 fan has better air flow than ... MoreHaving owned several dyson vacuum cleaners over the past 7 years and bearing in mind that I just bought a Dyson v15 at top dollar just last month. In fact, when the fan is set to its highest setting, you only get a gentle breeze that only infuriates you. Indeed, a cheap $20 fan has better air flow than this fan.If you are a pedantic individual, then you will appreciate this more as an art piece rather than its intended purpose of being an air purifier. It is very fragile. Hence, if you have young children, then the likelihood of damage occurring is high. The unit is very light and unstable. It comes with a fancy air quality indicator, however, it appears not to work even when fly spray is used, giving a normal indicator reading. In conclusion, Dyson should stick to making vacuums at an affordable price. And, they should leave making air purifiers and fans to other well-known companies that have been making them well before Dyson.

Superb cutting edge technology in a simple to use package

After a week of use this air purifier/cooling fan has proven itself to be superb at the basics of moving air and filtering/purifying but what turns this into an exceptional product is what I have found to be the combination of function, complexity made simple and controllability. At its most basic the machine moves phenomenal quantities of air quietly and efficiently. The filtration works very well indeed, if my relief from tree pollen hayfever over the last week is anything to go by.The thought and design that has clearly gone into this Purifier Cool starts with the notably recyclable packaging, which incidentally had protected it from the couriers best attempts to damage it! Although the outer box was punctured everything inside was well protected and undamaged ... MoreAfter a week of use this air purifier/cooling fan has proven itself to be superb at the basics of moving air and filtering/purifying but what turns this into an exceptional product is what I have found to be the combination of function, complexity made simple and controllability. Although the outer box was punctured everything inside was well protected and undamaged It was very easy to unpack and set up, only requiring two filters to be fitted, downloading an app and connecting. A simple and well thought out setup instruction leaflet a bit bigger than a single side of A4 that contained both text and pictures was very helpful, particularly for someone who doesn't like ploughing through lengthy manuals! The software installation and setup was simple, quick and on the IOS version I was using, faultless. It was a bit of a shock when I first sat down 5 metres away from the Purifier to find that even on a quiet fan setting 3 (of 10) I could feel a cooling breeze. Even better was when I discovered whilst exploring the app that I could very easily remotely adjust the direction of the fan rather than having to go to the fan and move it manually by trial and error. This example is representative of how easy it is to to control the Purifier with the app and how much thought has gone into the product. If you are using the Purifier for just purification there is a helpful auto setting that makes use of the exceptionally wide range of sensors and adjusts the fan speed accordingly.Whilst on the subject of sensors, if you want to know how good the air quality is in your home then this machine covers pretty much everything that is likely to be of concern in most homes and goes well beyond anything I have seen before. As it has a carbon HEPA filter I believe it can deal with most, if not all of the pollutants the sensors detect.Through the app you can set up voice control using Siri or Alexa and also schedule when the Purifier operates. I haven't used either of these functions but it was nice to discover they were available.I have found the app so easy to use it is highly unlikely that I will use the small remote control that comes with the machine very often and usefully attaches magnetically to the top of the 'magnifier loop'. From previous experience I know this helps to cut down significantly on those "where is the remote" moments. The Purifier does have a small screen on which you can access information but I found it far easier to use the excellent app. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in our view we found the somewhat futuristic design fits in well in many spaces because of its tall slim design. In a more modern interior decor it is a good looking piece of tech that wouldn't need hiding away. In older style rooms, being controlled from a phone using wireless technology there is no need to have line of sight for an infra red remote which means you can place the Purifier where only the slim upper half (magnifier loop) can be seen.It was good to see that Dyson have retained the Night Mode that pushes air in a more diffuse way out of the back of magnifier loop, meaning you can use it in a bedroom overnight without excessive drafts or noise disturbing your sleep whilst still purifying the air. I have used this function on a previous purifier model and found it to be very useful.

Very quiet to use, I am glad I have upgraded to this model.

I have owned the first generation Dyson for so many years until now I have decided to upgrade mine to the latest model.I can noticed the difference immediately. The airflow is very fresh and a lot quiet. I use it with the timer on for 2 to 4 hours when I go to bed. Most of the time I use speed 1 which is so quite with a very soft breeze to keep my bedroom fresh. Some days when it is hot, I need to turn to speed 4 which I can start hear a low noise but not so disturbing. I have my dog sleeping in my bedroom and so this pure cool fan really work so effective that freshening airflow for the room. I am very happy with this product even though it is quite expensive. But I think it is worth to compromise with the price as it really gives me fresh air and remove pet's ... MoreI have owned the first generation Dyson for so many years until now I have decided to upgrade mine to the latest model.I can noticed the difference immediately. I need to exchange this fan because there was a little scratched on it and they swapped another one for me without any hassle at all.
