I’ve currently on a trip now with it and I have to say it is beautiful, I got the ocean blue nylon and wow. Overall, love it and wouldn’t return it. The material, the colour, the luggage slide through/pocket, the folio (game changer), etc. My two gripes with it is the internal laptop sleeve and the main compartment zipper. The laptop sleeve is constructed of a thicker felt material which I think is great as a liner but I would have liked a more structured external sleeve with a buckle similar to the new attached folio as supposed to the velcro. For this reason I likely won’t used this pocket as a laptop sleeve. My second gripe is the zipper, I love the color, on the blue at least it is a matte black and goes perfect with my minos carry on. The issue is that the ends taper to a “point” so when open the middle of the zipper is as open as it gets then the ends taper reducing visibility, coupled with a black interior makes it’s a bit difficult to find things in the larger compartment. However, as I said these are just annoyances and wouldn’t stop me from recommending it to friends and family, but more just something to be aware of.

I absolutely love this bag. I bought this for a recent trip to London and here are my Pros and Cons.Pros: 1. The bag has kept it shape even after putting it under my seat and storing it in the carry on cabin with other luggage. 2. The bad is the perfect size and is able to fit a lot including (2) pairs of shoes, pants, under garments, and MacBook Pro laptop, chargers, and toiletry. 3. The side pockets are a life saver for putting my wallet and passport for easy access especially when going through customs. 4. The updated removable metro kit is so much better. My Metro Duffel arrived wonderfully packaged and came with a nice drawstring pouch should I ever need to store it. I ordered the Juniper Green colour and it looks even better in person. I will be using this bag mostly as a work bag than for travel. Unfortunately my laptop doesn't fit into the built in laptop sleeve, however that's not Monos' fault rather I don't seem to know how to measure my laptop properly. The bag is a little heavy when empty but after putting all my work stuff in it, it doesn't really matter as I carry too much stuff anyway. The padded, adjustable shoulder strap is wonderful. The included Metro Classic Kit is a nice bonus too. I kept this in my cart for weeks before taking the plunge. I'm so glad I did! It's pricey, but the quality is worth it. I wanted vegan leather and was a little disappointed to not have a black option. Instead I went with ivory because it's stunning and I was just drawn to it. The photos on the website aren't entirely accurate. It's not ivory with a yellow undertone. The color is more of a light taupe (greige?), which I'm even more excited about. Just be aware if you're looking for a true ivory. The bag is spacious -- I did a test run for an upcoming trip and I can fit my laptop, iPad, chargers, a book, scarf, water bottle, and snacks, and there's still plenty of room for other essentials. Pros: Functionality wise, this bag is really great! Plenty of compartments on the inside to organize things, and the metro pouch on the outside is really useful. The magnet on the metro pouch makes it super easy to disengage and attach the bag too. I like that you can fold up the sides to put things into the bag easier, and all the buttons are strong magnets, which makes it easy. The strap is also pretty comfortable to use on your shoulder.Cons: So this bag will fit underneath the plane seat but you have to take off the outside metro bag and also place this bag on the side. Also, it's a little hard to put this bag on the suitcase using the slip with the folio bag attached since it's a little cumbersome. We also have the check in large and I'm already planning on expanding the luggage family to include other pieces.I had previously ordered the first version of the duffel, which I liked in theory but didn't use because of the bulky metro kit and the rather unsightly black snaps when you remove it. When I saw that a new version was released that fixed this and added a few new features, I reached out to the customer care team about an exchange.They were awesome! Since I'd never used the first bag they helped me swap versions easily and were such a pleasure to deal with the whole time. I my new Monos Metro Duffle. It arrived just in time for my trip to CA. I had high expectations because of the amazing reviews. And I was not disappointed! I got the green nylon duffle. It is a very rich, stand-out color. I was wondering if I would get compliments from fellow travelers like others have - and I did! The organization in the bag is outstanding. I was able to fit my 15" laptop in the laptop sleeve just fine. I put my cords in the outside zip pocket, The detachable pouch was roomy enough to fit my makeup and a lot of my toiletries. I was able to fit two pants, my pajamas, four tops, all my underwear, socks, extra toiletries, my wallet, and a pair of shoes. Functionality wise, I would give it 4/5 stars as others have mentioned the zipper opening doesn't allow the bag to stay opened easily and you scratch your hands a bit as you pack/unpack, and the laptop sleeve could really use something other than velcro to close. But overall I 'm really happy with it. The added toiletries bag is possibly my favourite feature, it clasps on and off easily, and being able to stow it outside the bag allows more room inside which can be super helpful at times! My husband and I travel a lot and we almost exclusively carry on so we upgraded me to this duffel and the carry on plus. I got the ivory duffel and desert taupe carry on and they look so cute and chic together and I’ve already gotten so many compliments. It does have a handle sleeve to it can sit on top the carry on. I don’t feel like it is very roomy inside so I can fit less in than the backpack I used to use. The top opening is quite stiff and doesn’t open a lot so it’s hard to get things in and out or find what you’re looking for, especially if you have things packed in. The laptop sleeve inside is attached to the lining which is loose so it doesn’t keep it upright if you don’t have a lot in your bag. If you’re like me and travel with your carry on and this as your “personal item” that generally means this has to go under the seat in front of you (if it’s a full flight which more are). It does fit but it can be hard to get under there and you have to take the outer bag off which leaves you wondering where to put it or trying to stuff it in the main bag, which you may or may not have room for. Overall, I really do enjoy this piece, but wish it was more practical for my travel style.
I have just received my Metro Duffel (in a lovely dark navy nylon) and I am very, very pleased with its construction and features. Although the bag is fairly light in weight, the fabric is quite substantial, and gives the bag a strong, stable shape. The stitching on the seams and trim is heavy and appears to be very high quality. The shoulder strap is adjustable and reversible, so that either side of the padded area for the shoulder is equally comfortable. The trolley sleeve is well-designed and easily fits over the 7-inch wide handles of my spinner luggage. The numerous small and large inside pockets are sure to be handy for organizing when packing.
